I loveeee the green forest latte! The green forest latte is a take on Korean mugwort rice cake. It comes with home made tteok (rice cake) that's absolutely amazing. The best way I can describe it to those who don't know what mugwort tastes like, is that it's earthy and herbal, but very different from matcha. I've tried it with a shot of espresso, but I actually prefer the drink without it! The employees are always welcoming and kind. There's a lot of space inside, which makes it a perfect spot to study!
Wow, I cannot wait to go back. The drink menu here gave me choice paralysis because I wanted everything! I ordered the matcha mochi latte, and the cream on top was divine! Super thick and rich, and when you dip the mochi in it OOOOH just the best thing ever. I also love their seasonal Persimmon Milk Latte. The persimmon at the top and bottom are just so refreshing and sweet, I couldn't get enough! We also ordered their egg waffle sando, which is basically an egg sando but in a hardshell waffle. The savory fluffy eggs went well with the harder exterior of the waffle!! I'm excited to come back and try their Injeolmi mochi latte and their Mugwort one too. What an incredible discovery in Ktown!!! The interior is clean, quiet, and comfortable. Perfect for some quiet time to yourself or to catch up casually with a friend. Staff is super nice, and drinks came out fast. There is a small parking lot behind the shop, which is a huge plus!!!!
Place was great! There was enough parking available for customers and the inside of the cafe was spacious. The dirty matcha had a nice earthy taste and wasn't too sweet. The mochi matcha latte was sweeter but it was smooth and yummy! Mochi had a nice nutty taste and must be dipped with the cream. Definitely can tell they use a better grade of matcha. It was not watered down. Would definitely come here again!
Found this place on my drive home one day and I'm glad I stopped by. I googled coffee shops along my route home and a few popped up, including this one, and I'm so glad I decided to come here. I first ordered their signature Black Sesame Cream Latte and was immediately blown away. It was very creamy and the flavors worked very well together. I've since came back a few times and tried their Strawberry Matcha as well as the Back Sesame Mochi Latte and all were delicious. The employees are always very nice and I enjoyed the fact that they recommended that their sesame latte be sipped instead of using a straw to get the full experience of the flavors. This place is always full of customers, some are often either working or what looks like school work while enjoying really good drinks. Definitely a good vibe whenever you come here.
Their drinks are the most dessert-like drinks in Ktown (they're SWEET), which isn't my preference and I feel like their drinks lack a complexity of flavor that I see from some other Ktown Cafes. BUT, their cream cheese red bean croffle is my favorite sweet treat in LA (coming from a sweet treat connoisseur). The flavors blend seamlessly, it's perfectly sweet, and I love the mix of textures from the crispy croffle to the smooth cream cheese. I have come back twice in a week for this before.
The black sesame latte is amazing. The croissant + waffle is a great sweet treat to indulge in. I forgot the name of the other drink I got but it has the little squares on top and it is just as delicious! Great service all around here & lots of tables to work at or connect with friends. Parking can be a little tough but it doesn't take so long to find.
Got their Injeolmi Mochi Latte + Espresso. It is a Roasted Soybean Cream Milk, Paired with a Mochi Skewer. The drink was super flavorful and rich. and the additional espresso shot was great. Would come back. Easy parking.
I loved, loved, loved the injeolmi mochi latte! The injeolmi cream is very rich and the concentration of the mildly sweet and nutty flavor is still strong after mixing the cream and milk! The mochi covered in injeolmi powder is a fun touch too; it's fun dipping the mochi into the cream and eating them before mixing the drink up. This drink is not caffeinated, but you can add an espresso shot. I also tried the Strawberry Injeolmi Cream Croffle, which had the same cream as the latte, strawberry slices, and a flaky and crispy croissant-waffle. Delicious! There's a tandem parking lot situation behind the cafe if needed and plenty of seating inside.
Came here for a drink while waiting for a spot next door for dinner. Tried their special drink roasted sweet potato latte with an added shot of espresso. I was skeptical thinking this is an interesting combo that might not be good but I was pleasantly surprised. The drink was perfectly balanced with the taste of the sweet potato, the sweetness with a hint of espresso. It was a delicious drink and I'm glad I tried it. The cafe is pretty spacious with lots of seating, very clean and great service. Will definitely go try other drinks next time I'm in the area.
I love Cafe de Mama so much, I hope they always stay in business. I regularly came here when I used to live in LA, and I miss this place so much. Strawberry Milk - The best strawberry milk I've ever had in my life. Cafe de Mama does the strawberry milk the right way!! The strawberry flavor is very strong, and the drink is not too sweet. It's actually milk and now some strawberry slushie. I've had so much bad strawberry milk from other places. This place does it the best. Injeolmi Latte - I'm very caffeine sensitive so I get the Injeolmi latte without any coffee/espresso. You would think a drink might be too plain without coffee or something else, but Cafe de Mama does the Injeolmi latte so well! It's so creamy and the flavor is so strong! I've tried recreating this drink at home since I don't live nearby anymore, but I can never get to be as creamy or flavorfull. Persimmon Milk - Persimmons are my favorite fruit so of course I've had to try this drink. I don't love it as much as the strawberry milk or the injeolmi latte, but the persimmon flavor is very strong. It tastes exactly as it sounds -- like you're drinking persimmon blended with milk. Vibes - Cafe de Mama is not aesthetically nice as some other beautiful cafes in ktown, but their drinks beat out so many of the other cafes. So if you prefer flavor over instagram-ability, then this is the place.
Hey Mama C, Needed a place to get some work done. Been googling and helping WiFi, plugs and parking. Of course the drinks had to look good and the ratings better. Took a chance and came to see you. Got vanilla crème cold brew, less sweet and less ice. Was pretty good. Not many plugs but I didn't need to be here long and needed a space I can talk so went to the corner. It's all good. The space is nice, quiet, clean and the parking out back helped. Definitely will remember next time I need a space to go to. Cheers!
Perfect place to get an amazing drink and get some work done in K-town! The injeolmi latte was soooo good. The space does fill up more in the afternoon with families, groups, and sometimes business people having informal meetings, so be sure to bring some headphones if you're looking to focus.
Super delicious and unique spot! I really enjoyed the persimmon milk as it had a super fresh and sweet flavor. The pulp of the persimmon was amazing and my favorite part of the actual fruit so it was a great taste for me. The injeolmi mochi latte was fun as you use the cream to submerge the mochi and get a good, flavorful bite. The injelomi taste was strong and nutty but adding espresso was +$1. There is a parking lot in the back! The inside is nice and spacious with a few outlets here and there for people working. The service was good, nothing crazy :) read more

Ordered UberEats and it took an hour but it wasn't a big deal since it's 10+ mile drive from my area. Pricing was slightly pricey since most drinks cost $7+ Ordered the Injeolmi Mochi Latte ($6.82) with less ice & sugar and oat milk (+$0.75). It consisted of a roasted soybean cream milk with a mochi skewer. I liked that it wasn't too sweet and the hint of roasted soybean. The mochi was amazing! It was so fresh and chewy. It's nice there's also the option to add half shot (+$0.50) or espresso (+$1.00). Got the Black Sesame Mochi Latte ($7.35) with less ice & sugar and oat milk (+$0.75). It consisted of black sesame cream milk with a mochi skewer. This was definitely my favorite! The black sesame tasted so delicious. It wasn't too sweet and it was so creamy and the black sesame tasted amazing! I could tell it was made from real black sesame by the roasted sesame flavor. The mochi was so fresh, chewy, and yummy! Make sure to give the drinks a good stir prior to drinking otherwise the cream top just stays on top! Overall, both drinks were good but my favorite was definitely the Black Sesame Mochi Latte, as well as the incredible mochi! read more
Moved to Koreatown recently and Cafe De Mama quickly became my go-to for a daily coffee fix! Addicted to the black sesame latte. It's smooth / not overly gritty like some cafes I've tried, has just the right amount of sweetness & love that they don't skimp out on the cream top. You can even purchase their black sesame paste in a jar. The Vanilla Cold Brew is decent as well, great if you enjoy more coffee flavor vs cream. The only con is it usually takes a while even when there's no line. Looks like there's only 1 barista majority of the time. You can order online though I think prices are a bit higher there. Parking is free but it's a small lot. read more

The place was filled with students, so it definitely seems like a popular study spot. It's a great place to study or catch up with friends since there are a lot of seats and they offer free WiFi. I ordered the Black Sesame Mochi Latte and the Vanilla Cloud Cold Brew, which came out to about $14 total. The drinks came out really quickly, which was nice. Parking was self-park in the small lot in the back, or there is also street parking available. The Black Sesame Mochi Latte was creamy, nutty, and not too sweet. I also really enjoyed the injeolmi mochi skewer that came with it. The vanilla cold foam on the cold brew was really tasty and their coffee is more on the acidic side, which we like. I'll definitely be back. read more
this was my second time at Cafe De Mama, a little cafe in Ktown. first off, street parking is available but can be difficult so plan accordingly. lots of seating inside and they have a restroom. the menu is actually pretty expansive, there's a lot of drinks to appeal to many different palates. but so far I have ordered just the injeolmi mochi latte and the strawberry injeolmi mochi latte. employees have always been polite, and they make sure to tell you how exactly to drink your latte (i.e. take the mochi first and dip in the injeolmi cream, then enjoy the latte). the drinks itself are phenomenal!! the taste of the injeolmi mixed with either the milk or strawberry goes great together. one of my fav latte flavors. next time I'd like to try the persimmon latte because I will definitely be back for more soon. read more

4.5 stars Stopped by for a drink and a bite to eat. Opted for the sesame cream latte with injeolmi and red bean croffle. It took a bit of time to get the croffle, but as it's made fresh to-order, I didn't mind. The injeolmi was fantastic and dipped in the black sesame cream made for a sweet and nutty experience. Delicious! The sesame drink itself was pretty good, but I'd asked for espresso (extra $1), and I didn't taste it; I would've liked to have tasted more of the espresso, as the drink itself got a bit too sweet for my liking. Red bean croffle was sweet and flaky, with a hint of savoriness from the butter. Pretty good, but quite heavy! Overall, Cafe de Mama makes really-good injeolmi, and it's a cute spot to stop by for a pick-me-up. read more
Wanted to grab coffee after facials and this place was only 3 mins away. They have a lot of creative lattes, like dirty matcha, injeolmi, red bean. My friend would have liked a little more food options though. The inside has a lot of tables and free WiFi. Some of the tables need a wipe down, but other than that, has AC and some people had laptops and working. read more
Stopped by Sunday morning and was surprised to see they were pretty busy and most of the table was taken. Green forest matcha latte was delicious! Perfect amount of mugwort cream mixed with matcha was a delicious combination that I still drool thinking about it. My husband ordered Americano yuzu and it tasted exactly how it sounds. My friend and I came here on a whim because we we needed some caffeine. They had this black sesame cream latte that sounded pretty good. Wow. It was so good! The creamy and nuttiness of the black sesame worked so well with the espresso and milk. The barista told us that she recommends just drinking it from the cup rather than a straw. I think I'd still prefer to mix mine with a straw. Either way, I definitely would want to come back again for this drink. read more
I stopped by this spot because I saw all the cute beverages. I wanted to add a shot of espresso but it was near dinner time and I didn't want the extra caffeine. I swapped the milk out for oat milk. The mochi was a cute bonus. The black sesame flavor was strong and overall a great drink. Staff was friendly and saw a lot of folks with their laptops. Came here during the BLACKPINK Deadline Tour weekend and they had the BLACKPINK drink special. It comes with mochi on a stick and you're advised to dip it in the black sesame cream layer, and the combination is divine! The mochi itself is so fresh and soft and the black sesame cream is so nutty just the way I like it. I think the black sesame cream and fresh strawberry milk worked really well when mixed together, and the fresh cut strawberries were small enough to fit through the straw. I'd definitely get this again if they made it permanent! I also tried the strawberry injeolmi croffle. It wasn't really what I expected, especially because the injeolmi had a buttery paste consistency almost like peanut butter. I'm used to having injeolmi in dry powder form. Overall, I thought the croffle texture was a bit hard, but it was good for the price. A strawberry croffle for the exact same size at Heuk Hwa Dang in Madang Plaza is more than $10, whereas it's only $6 at Cafe de Mama. read more
I was looking for a spot to give me a mid-day snack/drink. I was super lucky to find this cafe. It's a small cafe with its storefront on the Main Street. It's super easy to miss if you're not really looking. There is a small parking lot in the back of the cafe but it is shared with the other retail/restaurants beside it. There is street parking in the nearby blocks just be aware of signage; this is where I ended up parking. There are several tables that cover the space and are mostly accommodating for groups between 2-4 people. I saw a lot of people working on their laptops while enjoying their drinks. Tables can be moved and combined for larger groups. I ordered their persimmon milk. I was surprised to see this on their menu as I've never seen something like this before offered at other cafes and I love persimmons. I had high expectations and they were met! There were small pieces of persimmons in the drink and tasted exactly as I had expected. It also wasn't too sweet. Definitely would come back again! read more

If you are a fan of black sesame like me, you will definitely enjoy this one! Very rich, nutty, and overall delicious-licking good! (5/5) 2) Injeolmi mochi cream latte: roasted soybean cream on milk with mochi skewer, you can add with a shot of espresso. My hubby enjoyed his drink, very rich and refreshing at the same time (5/5) We didn't know, but apparently you are supposed to dip the mochi skewer into the drink (next time we will do this hehe). They have a small parking lot in rear! We visited on a Wednesday right around noon and there were a ton of parking, not too sure how the weekend is. Lots of seating perfect for a coffee date, study session or work from café. Injeolmi Mochi Latte w/ added Espresso -staff recommended to add coffee to this drink. Coffee is strong and paired well with roasted soybean powder. A little bit on the thicker side. Mochi was so good, soft and just the right amount of chew. Green Forest Mochi Latte -Mugwort added the perfect amount of herbal and refreshing depth. If you have had pennywort and like that, you will like this drink as well. Mochi paired well with the Mugwort cream. Persimmon Puree Milk -sooo good! Chunks of persimmon come up with the milk and adds just the right about of texture. Black Sesame Cream Latte -coffee is strong, black sesame cream is where all the flavor is make sure you stir well. Black sesame added nuttiness into the coffee but I prefer the other 3 drinks above. **Update, this drink in my opinion is much better left overnight! Black sesame really shines through. read more

The staff said don't mix the drink and just drink the way it is. Lovely black sesame cream on the top layer and then the drink progressively blended together with coffee and ended with a hint of milky finish. The drink tasted very similar to cloud latte but with an unique twist (e.g. black sesame). While it didn't taste as milky as cloud latte from other places, I am actually a fan of this drink as it tasted slightly less sweet. *** Their black sesame cream latte rivals other 5-star worthy & high quality specialty lattes in Koreatown. I really felt this one was smooth and interesting not overly sweet delicious coffee flavor They have a lot of interesting Korean style drinks here I had their injeolmi mochi drink before too and liked that one alot too. This is your typical ktown coffee shop in my regular rotations. I've consistently gotten one drink here which is their black sesame iced latte, that's popular here. It tastes delicious, but i wish that the coffee doesn't seem to be very strong/robust, which could help cut the sweetness down. Ambiance wise, the place is packed with students studying / korean middle aged ladies catching up. The wifi is pretty good, and there are decent amount of outlets. My only thing is that the seating isn't too comfortable especially if you're wanting to work here for several hours because the seats are not cushioned. read more

Black sesame latte and an yuzu espresso drink, both pretty refreshing and tasty. The combos work, not sure how but the lemon yuzu and espresso was sweet and had a smooth taste not bitter, very balanced in flavor read more
Super cute spot right across from Master Ha. The staff were really friendly and the service was quick, which made for a smooth visit. I forgot which matcha drink we ordered, but it was creamy with a unique herbal note on top. The mochi was a standout, soft, chewy, and so satisfying. The matcha itself was decent, not the best I've had but still enjoyable. I'd definitely come back to try more of their special drinks next time! read more
