My favorites include: + Injeolmi Mochi which as a nutty taste and the mochi on top is nice and chewy, + Persimmon Puree Milk (seasonal) - the sweetness is only from the puree so the persimmon flavor really shines through + Black Sesame Cream top Latte - can't go wrong with a black sesame. What an amazing discovery! I find myself coming here at least once a week because the drinks are just that good - and so unique. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else in LA. My absolute favorites are the "Green Forest Mochi Latte," "Persimmon Pure Milk," and "Injeolmi Mochi Latte." The crème on top of the "Green Forest Latte" is out of this world - I have no idea how they make it, but it blows my mind (and my taste buds ) every time! You could tell it's good when the petite place is consistently busy, and seems to have visitors from multiple age groups including family. Not a few of them are Koreans, convincing me even more. Being a big fan of Injeolmi and mochi, without a shadow of doubt I choose their Injeolmi Mochi Latte, which is basically their version of latte topped with sweet nutty cream, making it unique and successfully land great taste! It seems like a small lot where cars needed to park behind each other, so you could possibly get boxed in. However, I was able to get spot as someone left. I love this cafe! It has every element of a great cafe in my opinion. It is clean, spacious, and comfy. There's plenty of tables to work and wifi. Loved this cute little coffee shop! My college daughter wanted to try the Injeolmi latte and it did not disappoint! We ordered Injeolmi mochi Latte with a shot of espresso with less sugar, black sesame mochi latte with no sugar, and an Injeolmi mochi latte with strawberry. They provide you with 3 injeolmi covered mochis on a stick where you stir the mochi into the foam at the top to coat it and then eat it. Once you have finished those, you then should mix the drink with your straw to incorporate the foam on top into the rest of the drink. These drinks are heavy, creamy and super filling but they are so delicious that they are dangerous. It sounds crazy but the Injeolmi with strawberry was actually refreshing, albeit a little on the sweet side. My favorite was definitely the Injeolmi with a shot of espresso and less sugar. The milk was refreshing, creamy, and light mixed with chunks and purée persimmons. This is a must if you love persimmons! Very unique and went so well together. Black Sesame Cream Latte (4/5): This drink is very nutty and had great flavors of black sesame. Usually some taste peanut buttery but this one had the earthy notes of black sesame cream. Mugwort Matcha Latte (5/5): this drink was so unique with the mugwort being earthy and like a rich matcha on steroids (in the best way possible). The matcha was wonderful as well! I see injeolmi and black sesame and I immediately fold, so Cafe De Mama is such a dangerous place. I got the injeolmi latte with a shot of espresso -- get the espresso, because it balances out the sweetness of the injeolmi. Drinks are heavy and sweet (forgot to ask to adjust sweetness -- would love to try again to find out if it's possible + how it tastes), heavily due to the cream top. The injeolmi tasted roasted and nutty and the mochi on top paired super well when dipped in the drink. The drink was super large so I got through around half of it, but I did enjoy it! Tables are a good size to study at but even in the middle of the week it was pretty busy. There's free parking in the lot in the back but the spots are tandem so you might get locked in. I forgot. Anyways, the black sesame latte was delicious! Plain milk topped with a thick layer of creamy black sesame cream, what else could you ask for! It was nutty, rich, and paired perfectly with the croffle I ordered. The croffle was a bit on the sweeter side, something I did not expect, but it wasn't unpleasant! The strawberries were a little tart but still pretty sweet and the nuttiness of the injeolmi powder made it feel kind of like a pb&j on a croffle!
