Cozy little spot in downtown Santa Cruz where you'll see locals and Bay Area folks alike. We stopped in for a quick pit stop. Quick service with a relaxed, local ambiance. I grabbed an iced Americano that hit the spot. My wife enjoyed her green tea latte made with organic ceremonial grade matcha -- which I think is supposed to mean something, but either way it was good. Great little reset while strolling Pacific Ave.

Wow! Such a cute space, such reasonable prices! Grilled cheese is super tasty, and I really enjoyed sitting out on pacific avenue enjoying my food. I would definitely recommend adding this spot to your coffee and brunch list!

Amazing prices and great food. The iced cardamom honey latte was soo unique and tasty. We also got the BLA sandwich which was good and definitely great for the cost. The ambiance was very laid back. We were able to sit outside for over an hour and enjoy downtown Santa Cruz. The service was also great for a cafe. They brought our sandwiches out to our table for us just to be nice and also made our coffee a little sweeter since we mentioned we don't like bitter coffees.

Cafe Delmarette is one of the most coziest cafes in downtown Santa Cruz. The menu is big, and offers so many options. My go to is the Lox Toast. The capers on top are amazing! But, seating is limited. You will most likely not find a seat, and this cafe is not suitable for big groups of people. There are no outlets for charging.

I came here early in the morning because nothing else was open and I needed breakfast. I ordered a sandwich, and it was actually quite good. However, I feel it's important to mention that the place was extremely filthy and dirty. Additionally, the worker was not wearing gloves while preparing the sandwiches. He was touching various surfaces around the counter and then continued making food without proper sanitation, which was very concerning. Because of this, I would be cautious about returning.

A cute little cafe with such great prices! We ordered several drinks including the golden milk, chai tea latte and hot chocolate. The chai latte had a little more spice and tasted authentic. Definitely would recommend, it does have limited seating inside. Staff was super friendly and quick! We turned around to sit down and they were finishing the drinks up.

I had been to Delmarette about four years ago and I like that they serve sandwiches with fresh crispy chips! Yes. The place itself is really small both inside and the al fresco patio. When I went, I read the menu and scanned for something good, I got a cold brew oatmeal milk and a BLA to match. Size wise I thought that the size of the sandwich was on the smaller side, it was more like something to hold me over for a couple hours. The bacon was good, lettuce was lettuce, avocado and aioli was a perfect fusion, I definitely recommend it. Customer service was ok. Enso forever. Oatmilk. Smallish table on the inside. Cool and cozy little spot. "We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents." -- Bob Ross

Cafe Delmarette is a simple yet charming little cafe right on Pacific that is perfect for people watching. My friend and I dropped by on Christmas Eve after seeing nothing else open on the strip (surprisingly). I ordered the Vegan Sandwich ($9) which were two slices of potato-toast spread with hummus and topped with avocado and sprouts. Was the sandwich good? Yep. Was it pretty simple in execution? Yes, that too. Nothing too spectacular from my sandwich and I also thought the slices of toast were smaller than my omnivore friends' meal. It was still tasty and I enjoyed having it during our little lunch date. Our sandwiches also came with a side of homemade chips. Currently only offering outdoor seating. On busy days, this area becomes packed so you may be better off grabbing to-go and heading to a bench elsewhere to enjoy your meal.

Their scones are bomb! The seating is limited but I liked the cozy atmosphere. My fiance had the tuna salad sandwich and that was okay.

I was looking for something heavier than a pastry and found out they had breakfast sandwiches and their own bagels! Score!! To my surprise, they also had specialty drinks so I had to get the Blondie latte with a plant-based milk. I asked the lady if it was sweet and she said it came with a tablespoon of brown sugar. But they could switch it and make it a teaspoon instead. Perfect! As I got my latte it was amazing!! The espresso used in the latte was actually a mild roast coffee so I really liked the flavor of it roast and it was Organic!! Win-win!! Since I'm trying to avoid dairy at the moment, I asked if I could get the lox bagel sandwich without cream cheese and replace it with avocado. The lady at the register asked another barista behind her and she said it was fine! Perfect!! You also get to pick out what type of bagel you want, so I wanted to try something different and got the sun-dried tomato and basil or something like that! The sweet flavors of the herbs in the bagel and then the juiciness of the tomato baked into the bread once simply wonderfully with my breakfast sandwich!! There's a cute little waiting area inside with at least 10 tables or seats along the breakfast bar counter and a couple of tables. There's also a very large outdoor seating area, but I was cold so I wanted to sit inside to warm up my body since I was going to go to yoga on the beach. I had only planned on eating half the bagel sandwich but honestly, it was so good when it came out. I sat there for a good 20 minutes until I ate the whole thing!! Lol so funny!! I was so stuffed I had to walk an extra mile before I could start my yoga on the beach! As I sat enjoying my breakfast sandwich, I got to overhear the two barista's talk about music!! One of the baristas allowed her device to search new genres of music while the other barista specifically looked up different genres of music she liked and then would tell her device to find music of that era. So interesting to hear their discussion!! I honestly loved everything about this quaint little coffee shop, and I will definitely be back again and again!!

I got a killer scramble, my daughter got the churro waffle (she loved that it wasn't overly sweet), and my mom ordered the chilaquiles. Our waiter transparently let us know they aren't traditional Mexican-style chilaquiles, but mentioned they were his personal favorite--and my mom ended up loving them! Even though our server was super slammed, the rest of the staff stepped in seamlessly to help with drink refills and to-go boxes. All in all, a great experience and a wonderful birthday meal for my mom. =)

We waited 45 minutes and probably another 20-25 minutes for our food. Food was great, the only problem was that it wasn't piping hot. Coffee, Ocean Views & a Mini-Retreat for the Soul…read more I've been to A LOT of places for coffee, and I'll just say it: I'm a coffee snob. So when I say the coffee here is awesome, I mean it! What makes this place special isn't just the coffee--it's the entire experience. Operated by the Catholic Church, this peaceful coffee establishment has a beautiful prayer garden where you can stroll, reflect, and maybe even get your thoughts straight before your second cup. My bride and I spent FOUR HOURS here reading, journaling, talking, and enjoying the serenity. And yes, we were still happily married when we left! The view of the Pacific Ocean is spectacular. You can walk across the street, sit on a bench, and simply listen to the waves. There's also a spacious patio, clean restrooms, friendly and polite staff, and an atmosphere that seems to say, "Slow down...you're allowed to breathe." This isn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee. It's a place to grab a cup of coffee, grab your thoughts, grab your bride, and grab a little peace for your soul. As a Yelp Elite reviewer--and someone who takes coffee VERY seriously--this place gets my enthusiastic recommendation. Great coffee. Great people. Great atmosphere. Incredible view. And a prayer garden thrown in for good measure. Sometimes you don't need a vacation. You just need four hours, two cups of coffee, the Pacific Ocean, and someone you love sitting across the table. #YelpElite #CoffeeSnob #CoffeeLovers #PacificOcean #CoffeeAndViews #PrayerGarden #MiniRetreat #DateDay #GreatCoffee #HiddenGem #CoffeeWithAView #SoulRefreshment
