Not so good service. Lady working Saturday morning 12/15/12 seemed to be bothered by having customers walk in and interrupt her lunch with someone there. Seemed to rush and wanted to sell me half of a croissant that was already cut. Not impressed, but could be a bad day for her.. Not sure I'll give this place another chance, although I've heard the donuts and coffee are great there. I wouldn't know, I was in a rush to get out of that unwanted atmoshpere! read more

Cafe Soleil is a great place and they have much more than just good donuts. I like their breakfast croissants with ham, bacon and cheese. I also like their lunch time sandwiches. Great coffee, nice people and super prices neighborhood, make this a great place most anytime. Say "I saw you on Yelp" and Sina will give you a free donut. read more

The ladies working were very nice. The service was just very slow. They also need a Non-Dairy milk alternative... the one they have is NOT dairy free. I can't do any milk products so that was a bummer. read more

This is a total GEM that I tell all my friends about! A secret spot that everyone should know about! I always order the Turkey Italian sandwich and get it on a croissant - they have fresh croissants baked daily that are to-die-for! This isn't on the menu but the owner knows us so well that we either call ahead or stop in and it's taken care of for us. It's the kind of sandwich that you don't need to pick apart and take out stuff you don't like because everything in it is SO good including the dressing! My mom got me hooked on these and it's almost a ritual that I come here when I'm in town. I also splurge and get one of their fresh baked pastry doughnuts or croissants to eat later and am always happy. The service is great and everyone that works here is super nice! From the outside, it was tucked in the corner of the lot. It looks like your average donut shop. I got a chocolate raspberry croissant, an Italian veggie sub-sandwich, and a Snapple ice tea. The croissant was about $1.89. It was huge! And tasted excellent. The veggie sub was about $3.89. At first, I was a little disappointed because I thought there was going to be some sort of veggie substituted meat inside, but there wasn't any. Just some lettuce, tomatoes, and other vegetables. However, to my surprise, it was really tasty! I guess the salad dressing or sauce and parmesan cheese gave it the flavor. Inside, they could use an Ikea make-over. It's not aesthetically pleasing. But it doesn't really matter because when it comes down to it, the price is reasonable, the food tasted good, the people are nice. read more

I first discovered this spot with my daughter when we were doing beach clean up volunteer work at Playa Del Mar. We were looking for a place to eat and the choices were limited. We took a chance and so glad we did! The quiche was delicious and the creme brulé divine!! We went back and had the boeuf bourguignon and I thought I heard angels sing! They had like 3-4 donut varieties to choose from and their croissants, are not your typical buttery, fluffy, flaky croissants. Beware: bring cash if you decide to come here. Debit card transactions must be minimum of $5 PLUS $0.50 surcharge. Forced myself to get a Thai tea drink to put me over the $5 mark. Do yourself a favor any drive elsewhere. read more

The lady that works the front counter is very courteous and the place itself is clean. However, I was really turned off to learn that the only tea available is the store bought cheap brand teabags. So I ordered a raspberry latte hot drink and a glazed doughnut. The raspberry latte also appeared to be store-bought mix powder and it tasted gross. How sad that the glazed doughnut tasted just like flour. I'll stick to the nearby Ralphs (Wardlow & Bloomfield) as they have a Starbucks inside and a fresh bakery department. read more

THE Best chicken sandwiches ever: Freshly baked french roll, melted cheese, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pepperoncinis, jalapenos and dressing. It is so good, even my boys crave them. Their smoothies are great. Their donuts are freshly made every morning. I can't believe that someone said they are stale. They are so good, that there aren't any left at the end of the day. Experience was alright here kinda low on available items. Bagel was just alright but their breakfast sandwich was creepy lookin. The egg was an off color and when asked to put avocado on it she said they didn't have any when there was an avocado on the counter :/ overall experience was meh the coffee was iight. read more

Came on a weekend about 9 and the selection of donuts was very scarce, our total was almost $4 and we didn't have cash only card, she said it was a $5 minimum plus they charge a $0.50 fee on top of that, if your gonna charge a fee anyways who cares what the amount is, we left and the kids were disappointed but went to the donut shop of Cerritos and los al Blvd and they had an amazing selection of donuts that did not disappoint read more

I waited patiently in line and then suddenly a man walked in behind me and the lady behind the counter asked him how she could help him. The man motioned to me and said, "But she is first". Great roast beef croissant sandwich. It's larger than normal, so you'll get full off of it. I came here towards the afternoon, so you won't see much donuts left except for muffins and bear claws.
