Stopped here for a coffee after work this past week with a friend as they always pass here and wanted to try it. The coffee I got was good but average. It wasn't out of this world amazing but also not necessarily bad. Staff was friendly and drinks were made relatively quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe of the place was interesting to say the least. Finally made it to this coffee shop to get some work done. It's been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint. Not the most affordable place for a drink in the area, but it is one of the most inviting cafes in Chelsea. They offer a wide selection of coffee and alcoholic drinks in a comfortable/eclectic setting. I ordered a matcha (which was good), but forget about the product. Lots of different seating options like a booth, chairs with little tables, couches, etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I guess this place doubles as a bar. They have a happy hour deal on cocktails as well as a full service bar it looks like inside. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's one restroom which is also really cool but could use some upkeep.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The cafe drink menu is very standard. I purchased a skinny tall can of Diet Coke with ice and checked out the pastries. I was hungry and was feeling savory and was a little disappointed to find only sweet options like croissants, and muffins. I ended up getting one of these prepackaged protein brownies which was surprisingly REALLY sweet and filling (it was about 300 calories). very expensive for coffee! I wanted to get a dirty chai with oat milk and it was coming out to almost $11, which is a bit high from what I've ordered in the past in the city. I know they have a great late night HH deal from 9-11pm so I would definitely be intrigued to come back for that if I find myself in the area. my drink wasn't anything special and we also got a plain oat milk latte just to get a taste of the espresso and it was average. my friend got the pistachio latte and the flavoring was definitely a bit artificial so as long as you're not expecting it to be super exact you'll like it. the service was fast and the barista was nice & the cafe was cute and would be a nice place to work as a they do offer wifi & have a public bathroom. read more

Quite an interesting vibe depending on the hour you're here. I'm sure in the afternoon, it's a very relaxing place to meet someone for a quick coffee or pick me up. The floral background gives you almost a Miami vibe or even a vacation vibe of sorts. Very intimate in some ways with all the seating. In the evening, it really does turn into a romantic place to grab a cocktail depending on the hour. It's almost nondescript to an extent. You have to know of this place. It's also called Bar 21 from the outside, so maybe that gives it away. Our situation was that we wanted to grab a quick pick-me-up cocktail before our dinner reservation. The cocktails are pretty good. I had a mezcal infused cocktail. Unfortunately, can't find the cocktail menu anywhere so I couldn't tell you what's in it. This is really too bad because I don't mind occasionally coming here to read and have a coffee or beer. But again, they always change their prices from what's on the menu. A drip coffee is supposed to be $4. Maybe ice would be a dollar extra. I ordered a regular drip iced coffee as did my boyfriend and they charged us almost $18. Completely insane. $9 an iced coffee?! That's more than double of what's on the menu. I feel like I've been robbed. I asked after why it's so much more expensive and he stammered that it's because of the size of the plastic cup. Note, my cup was 80-90% milk and a splash of coffee. Nice scam they have going. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also instituted a new rule that you have to turn off your laptops and are forbidden from doing work here after 5pm. Which admittedly I hate technology and people being sucked into their devices as well but they actively go around and tell people to unplug. One of the most beautiful coffee shops in the city. It is filled with colorful flowers, lush greenery, interesting paintings, and a gloriously gorgeous chandelier. The interior is elegant and breathtaking. There are couches, as well as regular chairs and tables for seating. In addition, there is a juice bar, serving smoothies and healthy fare. I ordered the Mocha and Spinach Pie. The Mocha was prettily prepared, and had a warm, chocolate-y taste, while being rich, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Spinach Pie came on a lovely blue plate, but with no utensils. The outer shell was crisp and flaky. The filling was a yummy mixture of spinach and feta. On the way out, I got a Chocolate Babka Muffin, which was deliciously moist and soft. The person behind the counter was great! He was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient. I came here on a Friday night to meet a large group of friends. I was shocked the shop owner was willing to accommodate us. The music was a tad loud. It felt more like a night club than a cafe. I came here to cowork with a friend, and picked it for the all the gorgeous flora. Most coffee shops in the city are packed on any given day, with the wfh crowds taking over these spaces in lieu of offices. I was shocked to find such a gorgeous cafe with good cafe and beautiful, cozy green booth seating was not overly crowded, but soon found out why-- their wifi is not good. Bad wifi is a death knell when it comes to reaching the heights of the best places to work, naturally. Still, I enjoyed a matcha latte, coffee, and chocolate croissant while here and just used my phone as a hotspot. I won't make it a regular part of my wfh coffee shop rotation, but this would be a great place to meet a friend for a catch up. read more

So I actually really enjoyed this cafe. I just found it by doing a search on yelp for cafes with high rating. Yes, even during the weekdays...it may be packed, but they really do try to accommodate everyone. I noticed someone mentioned that they went to TikTok and they mentioned this was a good place to work from, but the day they showed up it was packed too. Thats the problem with TikTok...it's kind of ruining all the under the radar spots. Haha But here is what I can say about the place, it's very lovely. It has a very classy, yet green vibe to it. Between the paintings, chandeliers, and seating, it's really nice. In terms of food, I was craving a waffle. OMG, the waffle they made me was definitely one of the best I had had in a while. I asked for fresh strawberries and they also drizzled in some chocolate. It was delicious. I will def be going back. read more

Absolutely LOVE this cafe. PLEASE get the ham & cheese croissant. It has the perfect texture of crispy/crunchy on the outside and warm/chewy/soft in the inside. Laptop friendly!! It does get a bit loud so I wouldn't recommend it if you have a lot of meetings, but generally most of the other customers are also here with their laptops thanks to their free wifi, two clean/spacious bathrooms, two separated seating areas, and lots of outlets. The owner is super friendly (he also brings his dog and lets the dog walk around freely to say hello to the customers). The workers are pretty young and they did forget my order (ordered twice) and sometimes were loud sitting next to me when it was their break time, but it was fun seeing the owner and the workers' friendly interactions. Later towards the night they turn into a bar, and you will know because they will start rearranging the decorations and tables for it. read more

Great place for doing work, there's plenty of seats and outlets. The coffee is absolutely atrocious, and the service is even worse. There's no Wifi since you need a voucher code, and the coffee shop doesn't have such thing (the password on the counter for 'sunflower1' doesn't work). The baristas just shrugged it off. As long as you can use your own hotspot, you should be set. read more

The space is beautiful and operates as a coffee shop-plant shop-wine bar hybrid. One side is brightly lit and gorgeously decorated with near ceiling high plants, while the other side is warm with beautiful wall art. There is plenty of seating, although by the afternoon the space is often still completely full (but there is also high turnover being such a busy cafe!). Service is great: the baristas are friendly and often go around making sure the cafe is kept clean. The coffee is also good with a limited selection of flavors and prepared fresh, so it doesn't have a burnt or acidic aftertaste. However, it is not the greatest or most memorable coffee either, especially given a steeper price point for the sizes. It is also extra for plant-based milk. I haven't tried the food or pastries yet, but one of my friends who tried a croissant really enjoyed it. My primary complaint, however, is that it's often super loud with blasting music. If you need a quiet environment for productivity, Cafe-Flor is unlikely to be that spot. On each of my visits, I've noticed there is a bit of a "wet dog" odor towards the back as well. Some notes: WiFi is free for customers, but sometimes very spotty. There are limited outlets, so be aware for long study sessions. There are two well-kept and clean restrooms. read more

Coffeeshop-turned-wine-bar with attached flower shop has ample indoor seating to beat the heat (and outdoor seating, too). I study a lot at cafes, so this is a great spot near Chelsea Market with wifi and tables and comfy chairs, but still chill enough to not be overrun with people and have a calm, pretty ambience. (Can't speak for the coffee here, since I arrived hopped up on caffeine already and opted for an iced herbal tea instead. Wish they had a more expansive collection of non-coffee drinks. Will update when I try some of their coffee.) read more

Very cute coffee shop! I love all the plants and the decorations. I love how the walls are painted a jade green color and how the cafe has gold accents. There are a lot of tables, but it was completely full when I came at 4pm on a Saturday. I will say the music is a little loud to focus on your work or talk to a friend, which is my only complaint. I got a hot matcha latte and my friend got an iced matcha latte. I enjoyed my drink but my friends drink tasted 100% like milk. The matcha was also chunky and not well incorporated. They seated us in a side alcove area where they had cushioned seating, which was very helpful. What we Ordered: Drinks: Barlume Spritz and Hibiscus Mule (N/A cocktail)- drinks were good, nothing too special but we appreciated the cute stirrers Appetizer: Halloumi- grilled halloumi with roasted eggplant puree. The saltiness of the halloumi went so well with the creaminess of the eggplant. (Baby liked the eggplant puree too hah) Entrees: Lobster Arrabiatta and Duck Ragu and Truffle Pizza. My husband got the lobster arrabiatta and was raving about how delicious it was. He said it was the perfect level of spice. My duck ragu was served with busiate (a corkscrew shaped pasta) which I thought 'trapped' the sauce perfectly so you get a nice saucy bite each time. Pasta was perfectly al dente- my one gripe is that I felt the duck ragu was a bit too salty, which even managed to overpower the tomato flavor. We shared the truffle pizza, which came topped off with stracciatella, porcini mushrooms and shaved truffles. I liked the porcini mushrooms on the pizza, this was a first for me. For dessert (which we had to gobble down quickly because baby was starting to get fussy) we got the pistachio cake. SAVE SPACE IN YOUR STOMACH FOR THIS ONE!!! This was my favorite in the whole meal, the kataifi gives it that wonderful crumbliness and it went soooo well with the mango sorbet that's served with it.
