I got a latte and the Baked Halibut. I liked the creaminess of the latte and how the espresso's flavor wasn't too overpowered by milk. The mashed potatoes with the Baked Halibut was smooth but too sweet for my taste. Although there was just the tiniest sprinkle of scallions, the scallions were too overpowering. I stopped by here earlier today by myself for my morning coffee. When traveling, I like to hit up local coffee shops and on this day I happened to go to Felix Roasting. I decided to head here as it was a short walk from my hotel and I love places with freshly roasted coffee. This coffee shop is located in the Hotel Hugo and has both an indoor and outdoor space with plenty of seating in both. The inside had a very distinct, upscale vibe. Think polished wood paneling, mid-century-inspired lighting, and a bar setup that felt more like a high-end lounge than your typical coffee counter. Along the wall was a curved bench with floral wallpaper backing it, paired with small round tables and cushioned chairs. Framed portraits and abstract art added a bit of character to the space, and everything had this curated, slightly theatrical feel. After looking at the menu and knowing I was at a roastery, I ultimately decided on an Americano with a splash of cream. I think I was their first customer of the day and so I was in and out within a couple of minutes. As for the coffee itself, I would have to say that I enjoyed it. The flavor had a soft bitterness up front with a nice natural sweetness on the finish. The coffee flavor itself was strong and bold. I think the splash of milk that was added here, and it truly was a splash, helped out as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Solid, dependable coffee spot with a decor fit for a king. The coffee shop is adjacent to the Hugo hotel and provides a barista who is extremely helpful. There is Apple seating with couches and classic circular tables that provide a conducive atmosphere for catching up with others. It is a five minute walk from the nearest subway stop and feels "off the beaten path" while located on a quiet street. Coffee itself is quite delicious and original tasting. i was today years old when i learned that this place was a chain!!. i for some reasons had high expectations i think bc i saw this place on tiktok from some influencer but it was kind of lackluster. the space is beautiful and nicely furnished BUT it is ... dirty. flies buzzing everywhere and a strange, tepid temperature and atmosphere. people are working in this cafe also contributing to the stale air. you can order food which comes from the kitchen, but i just went to the cafe area. the trash on the cafe when i went was like overflowing; and perhaps that's because there was only 1 maybe two people working and it was quite busy at the time. i really appreciated how they gave me complimentary cold filtered water with my chai latte but my chai latte was super overpriced and too spicy. AND it came in a DIXIE CUP. um hello presentation??? it didn't match with the beautiful decor at all. also the bathroom was kinda gross and needed a desparaxtebcleaning and renovation. the other staff at the hotel part (Hotel Hugo) have a pretentious air and it's kind of off putting. i would not come back!! read more

Came here for a work happy hour and it was perfect! We had the space up front just for us and we were able to mingle and enjoy what they had to offer. It is such a New York vibe, just super cool and cozy. I tried both the chai latte and the matcha latte and both were masterfully made. The baristas kept up with our group so quickly. Food was satisfying too. We had plates of small bites served, for example, chicken pieces, chips and guacamole, and cheeses. I particularly loved the guac! read more

My knitting group had been searching for a new spot since our old spot, Arts and Crafts in the Village closed. When Felix Roasters was mentioned, I was surprised that it would be open in the evening but I realized that it was attached to the Hotel Hugo. I haven't been to the other locations but this location has a lot of seating (outside and inside). I really like the back room--my knitting buddies call it the plant room because they have plants draped across the wall and a glass ceiling. It's a nice space for knitting, studying, and eating in a quiet space. They even have a rooftop bar area. One of my knitting friends usually gets an iced chai tea latte, while the rest of us would get cocktails. The bartender said that he could make any drink we wanted. The first time I was there, I got the ice chai tea latte and I asked for simple syrup. The bartender said that it cost extra. I can't remember the price but charging for simple syrup is ridiculous. I decided that it was best to just get a cocktail. On my last visit, I got The Hugo (reminded me of a mojito) and another one in the group got the Espresso Martini. We both wanted the Tequila Cold Brew but they were out of cream. The service isn't anything noteworthy--as a matter of fact, the last time we were there (this was probably our 3rd or 4th time), we actually got table service. The reason why we still go here is because we could knit in peace, they play good music at a good volume and it's convenient for all of us. There are multiple locations but this one has gorgeous seating! Located inside hotel Hugo, the space is designed well and offers both indoor or outdoor seating. It was pretty quiet around Saturday late afternoon. No line and only a couple people seated. I went with an iced vanilla latte which was good. The menu is pretty simple. They have the typical espresso and coffee drinks available. Overall good coffee and for us, a great place to take a quick break and relax for a bit. read more

So glad I checked this out while staying at Hotel Hugo! The ambiance is really cute and cozy, there's a beautiful green wall in the back and a pretty solid amount of seating inside. Their iced latte with vanilla is incredible- I believe the barista told me they mix their vanilla with a bit of caramel and the flavor was so good. I didn't try the food menu (although it looked very good) but I came back multiple times for the latte! read more

Waitress asked me to take a seat and she would bring everything out when ready. 5 min later I walk up to barista to inquire about my coffee while he's making a coffee for another guest who arrived after me. He says my coffee will be ready soon. I take a seat and 5 minutes later walk up and he's making another coffee for another guest. I finally get my coffee. 1 star for barista who is either forgetful, disorganized, careless or all of the above. 1 star for waitress who never followed up. Wow! Just wow. Like the other Felix's, this location is gorgeous. Came here for breakfast meeting with a client Friday morning. Shashuka, yes please. :) Pastry is from Dominique Ansel, the famous cronut chef. No cronuts that day but I did take a chocolate croissant to go. :) The staff is super nice and welcoming too! I had no idea this place was here. Glad I found it. The "banana bread" was one of the better breakfast items I have had. It was banana's with a nut butter on sourdough.
