I absolutely loved this place. I was with a group of 5 and we needed a late coffee fix (more specifically me). I just wanted a coffee to-go and yelp recommended this place. As we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by how beautifully decorated it was inside. We also saw a large display of the many different cheesecakes/cakes that they had. So we decided to dine in instead, I ordered A Cuban latte and we shared an Oreo cheesecake. My friends got their own alcoholic beverages and enjoyed it. They said their drinks were very strong and not watered down at all like some places. I enjoyed my coffee a bunch and the cheesecake was DELICIOUS!! They also recommended tiramisu but we weren't in the mood at the time. The waiter was very friendly and helpful too! I would give this restaurant 5 reviews, as I was there before and it was excellent. Unfortunately, we had a server that should not be a server. She wasn't friendly or even efficient. All the other members of the staff were outgoing and friendly. She must have had a bad day for sure. One of our group asked for something and she actually whined and said well, I have to ask the kitchen. Other than that, this place is decorated beautifully, and it is clean. After dinner we wanted to stop somewhere for coffee and dessert. This was the perfect spot and exactly what we were looking for. We orderered a vanilla latte and hot chocolate. You could tell this was not your ordinary hot chocolate. It had a thick layer of whipped topping and was sprinkled with white chocolate chips. The vanilla latte was delicious! It was truly the best coffee I have had. After we got our coffee we took a "tour of the desserts" and every one of them looked amazing. We settled on the oreo cheesecake and the white and dark cake. We were not able to finish them because the portions were extremely generous. It was so nice to come in from the freezing cold and enjoy some hot drinks. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. I am new to town and was taking my dog out to the park. I wanted to come and grab a coffee to-go because it was chilly out. I had called prior to make sure coming in to get coffee would be fine with my dog. On the phone they said "that's fine as long as you aren't staying." So I go. I get in the restaurant and the girl making coffee asked me my dog's name and told me she was cute and continued her job. Then another man approached me and asked if I was placing an order to go. I said yes, then he left. Then a man in a suit comes to me and tells me I must leave because they don't allow dogs. I told him about me calling prior. He didn't care and told me to leave because it's not a service animal. Even though he didn't ask if she was a service animal but at this point I was having so much anxiety, so I left. However, I called back to inform them how unprofessional it is to have people giving incorrect information. To be told it's a strict "policy" and the man who told me to leave was the general manager. I don't understand how a GM could possibly fail to have 3 of his employees who talked to me before hand not know about this policy. If they did they know, they sure didn't say anything about it. The man I spoke to when I called later to let them know how upset I was to be given wrong information kept asking if no one told me about the service animal rule. NOPE. Not a single person, from the first phone call to the two workers. He then proceeded to act like they definitely asked me and I was making it up. How rude. I respect dog policy's, hence why I called in advance. I have extreme anxiety, don't embarrass someone because you let an employee answer a phone who isn't aware of the rules at the workplace. Clearly the GM isn't doing a good job at enforcing his policy's to the workers. I will not be promoting such unprofessional management. read more

We came by on Valentine's Day without reservations, hoping to just grab some dessert. We got lucky and were able to get a small table right by the entrance! Although the hostess was busy, she was nice enough to spare a few minutes to answer any questions about the cakes on display. I'm pretty sure she said the tiramisu was imported from Italy and that the cheesecake was from Juniors (NY). Wherever they were from, it was delicious and a wonderful experience. I can't believe they've had a location in Nashville for over a year and I just found out about it! I've been in Atlanta previously and loved it so much and the Nashville location was just as amazing! It's such a classy place - the space is perfectly decorated with so much attention to detail with the classic old European style vibe. I've actually never had a meal at either location before, but it's the perfect place for a nightcap - the cakes are incredible! They have over 80 varieties and put 20 out on display at a time. I've lived downtown area of Nashvílle for last 5 years and stumbled across this restaurant one afternoon. It is a hidden gem! the food was fresh and service was outstanding. We had the hummus to start with and the homemade pita bread was perfect. My friend and I ordered the seafood crepe and chicken Florentine crepe both were absolutely delicious!!! TLDR: a sweet little cafe joint, part of a chain, great for a date place or to catch up with a cup of coffee with an old pal. Plus nearby parking deck! Prices for a cafe are a little steeper. We walked in not knowing where else to go because of a lack of parking in downtown. This cafe has a parking deck right behind it that you can park at for a few $ an hour. There's a couple of Intermezzos in Atlanta, but this one was a lot more spacious than the intimate, tight seated ones we have here. This location is probably better for families. I ordered a Hazelnut Latte ($5.50) and my friend ordered a Cappucino Intermezzo ($5.50). With tip, our two coffees came out to be about $14.50. For the environment, the prices are fair and the espresso drinks were perfect for a cold day but they were nothing to write home about. It took them about 15-20 minutes to get our coffees, so I wouldn't say this is a good place for a good pick-up. I personally think it tasted like a less sweet Starbucks, but I still enjoyed my short experience at this Intermezzo! You go for the ambience (and cake), not necessarily the food and beverage items. read more

Covid isn't, and never really was, a thing... I had a $15 sandwich that was ACTUALLY worth the money. The Chicken Pomodora sandwich is one of the tastiest sandwiches I've ever had. That being said, it IS a bit messy to eat. Tender chicken, crush (or maybe diced) pomodora tomatoes generous amounts of cheese.
