We've been waiting for a place like this in our area! This restaurant is perfect for anyone who enjoys good food and a comfortable atmosphere. The décor is beautiful--stylish and cozy at the same time. It has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a while. The service was friendly and efficient, and we were impressed by how quickly the food came out. Everything tasted fresh, and the fact that they bake the bread and challah on site is a big plus. We were really looking forward to trying Landwer. We are sad to say it was not a good experience. We were seated pretty quickly but no menus were given and after a few minutes my husband had to get up and get one. Then when we were giving up all hope of staying for lack of any service then a lovely server can over. She was knowledgeable and very descriptive about the menu. We made our selections. We received our Fatoush salad which was not your typical Fatoush but it was very good. I had ordered the schnitzel platter which i went back and forth with our server because she thought i said the sandwich but someone next to me was served the platter And i said i want that one. She said ok the dinner no problem. Then another lovely young lady came to us that she was our new server and then they sent us the wrong food. The manager came over straightened things out and we quickly received our food. The schnitzel was so dry i had to rip out with my hands. The server asked how it was i told her dry. She said well its thin and white meat so its dry. That is for sure not how it should be. When the manager came back over and asked how it was i said it was ok. I really don't like to make people feel bad. She offered dessert and coffee. I accepted. A different girl brought the coffee. I asked for cream and by the time she brought it the coffee was almost cold. Then came the rugeluch cookie butter flavor. It was so doughy we each had 1 and took the rest home and threw out. Breakfast or branch is normally one of our favorite meals of the day as a family. We wanted to find a new place to visit. After looking a little bit on yelp, we found this place and we are so happy we discovered it. The food was truly AMAZING. Keep in mind that for breakfast there's no service per se. There is a cashier you place your order with but then they deliver it to your table. It was all super fast and fresh. Very quality products. The different types of breads and baked goods they have to offer (that they bake on the spot) were delicious. The ambience was super cool and beautiful. Took the wife to check out Cafe Landwer. The Bride commented, "Most interesting meal I've had in a long, long time. Wednesday is two-fers for wine. My Bride got wine, We started with Cauliflower, expertly done, hug portion, plenty for 2. She got the chicken Schwarma pita, I got the Falafel. Tasty, well prepared with chunks of roasted/fried potatoes, which unbelievable. Each of us warm out to eat half of each. We asked how the potatoes were prepared, Chef came out and explained, baking then light frying. We were both stuffed and Chef mentioned dessert, we are not big dessert eaters. I asked what he recommends, Nutella Rugalach. Served warm, pure ambrosia. Once again could not finish the huge portion Polite, attentive, service staff Must check this place out. read more

Entree- My husband ordered the shish-kabobs (lamb/chicken), no issues and it was good. I ordered the chicken shawarma entree but asked if i can have it without hummus (since I just had it with appetizer), and the waiter said I'd need to get the Shawarma sandwich and I just said ok. I should have just said I wanted the chicken on a plate with no hummus, I did lot like the sandwich at all, I picked out the chicken to eat which was ok (average) then I couldn't eat it anymore once I got a little bone. I still don't understand why I couldn't get the entree without the hummus as requested. I am someone who has a picky palate and didn't like all the things that were in the sandwich which is why I was picking out the chicken to eat, plus I had the pita app and didn't want more bread. The place was nice and clean, but I do suggest a little more flexibility to accommodate the customer request (if reasonable). I would try again in the future, the short rib looked good and the pita is worth it as well to give it another try in the future. read more

It was just OK. HUGe mistake on my dining mate's meal with no offer of compensation. Her meal needed to be redone correctly so we ate at different times. Needed to request more water (warm) with empty glass at the edge of the table for 10 minutes. Falafel sandwich was good, rather skimpy portion and mini salad side considering the price. Pretty restaurant . Probably will not return, on the fence about recommending. **just noticed** Sandwich was supposed to come with potatoes and there were none on the plate or on the side . First visit. Sunday brunch. Free parking a breeze. Former Mexican restaurant, among others. Buildout was extensive and impressive. Space is bright, clean and inviting. European vibe. That's where things went south. My meal began by watching a young employee clear and clean a dirty table then proceed over to the busser's station where he picked up a carafe of water and clean glasses which he then brought to folks recently seated. No gloves. No hand washing. Not cool. The pricing is reasonable, the menu fairly extensive. I had the pancakes which were rather small, dry and grainy. They were served with a side of fruit which looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The apple slices were darkened, the bananas brown. That side should have never left the kitchen. The server, to her credit, acknowledged the problem and replaced the fruit. My wife's avocado toast was described by her as inedible. She said the eggs tasted like powdered eggs. She left over 85% of the plate. I ordered a diet coke and the server brought me a glass of ice that had about three ounces of water in it. When I looked at the glass with some concern, she explained that the a/c was not working in the back. Ok.... but again, why serve anything if it's not right? The people next to us sent back their meal. Eggs were cold, side dish had a "funny taste". When leaving, I overheard other folks outside complaining about their meals, vowing never to return. So, all in all, every place can have a bad day and I see many of the reviews are very positive. I will give them a second chance and very much wish for them to succeed. I think they may have some serious quality control and training issues to deal with. If a busser is clearing a dirty table, he/she should not then come into contact with anything being served without a change of gloves or hand washing. If it does not look right, don't serve it. Period. There were just too many red flags and unhappy patrons for it to be a coincidence. I hope they can get it together and thrive. Boca is a tough food town and there are many other choices. They need to bring their "A" game to an otherwise beautiful venue. read more

Horrible place -- a disorganized mess. We had high hopes for this restaurant, but in the 2 times we've been, the plates come out at different times, half of them cold. All the servers seem like they're 15 and have no idea what to do. The place has so much potential, but surprising they put management in that just has made it a mess. A tough spot - we have seen restaurants come and go here. If they don't get their act together, I do not see this restaurant lasting very. Save your money in the meantime. read more

I really wanted to like this local place , However a few menu items along with lagging service , Put a damper on our dining experience , My Buddy & I ordered the Lental soup to start, Bland and watery base lacking any carrots and onions needed a thicker consistency. Their house baked bread was the main attraction , Hot Fresh Delicious, My Jerusalem was ok , Never asked me If I wished dressing , I did have to ask , Then waited , and waited , there he goes again , and waited , Oh wait he's taking to the waitress holding my dressing 2 ft from me, Finally . Ok Lets try the salmon , It was dry & stiff . I didn't complain , and there goes the waiter again . Oh maybe he will come by and fill our water glasses , Oh here he is " Would you like some more water ? " Um ...Why ask ....JUST FILL THE GLASSES ! , My friend ordered the Italian Burrata Salad with Grilled chicken , A large bread base is cover with a sprinkled of arugula 3 pieces of burrata cheeses and tomatoes , onions etc, The fact that he didn't finish it spoke volumes . He didnt complain either . Waiter comes by and sez, Lorenzo will be our waiter now , . Great perhaps some real service . " Excuse me may we have the check please . Lorenzo is not to be found , The first waiter reappears and shows me the check on this portable devise . After I ask for a paper copy , Then he goes and gets it . I say nothing , pay the bill and walk out . First off, let me start by saying that I never ever leave reviews and was hesitant to leave this since this is a fairly new restaurant. The 5 of use were seated within 10 min during 12:00 brunch time this past Sunday. Upon sitting down we were brought water right away. From that point forward, it was a complete nightmare. Our waitress didn't come to take our order for 20 min. This is after she took two other orders of people who came in after us. She only came to our table because we flagged her down. Otherwise, we would have been completely ignored for a longer time. When the waitress took our order, we mentioned that my daughter is allergic to sesame. She ordered the chicken Shawarma sandwich with no hummus or tahini. We didn't get any food for the next 30 min. Once the food started arriving. They brought out only two of the five meals first and after another 10 minutes, proceeded to bring out two more meals. Then, they brought out two dishes that were not correct and had to be sent back for the fifth person. It wasn't until 30 minutes after the four of us began to eat. Did the last person get his meal My daughter began to complain that she felt as though her throat was closing, and that she was having an allergic reaction to sesame. Upon checking her sandwich, there was no tahini or hummus in there, but yet she had a severe allergic reaction and had to run out of the restaurant. Throwing up and feeling as if she couldn't breathe. At this point, we were all very frustrated and upset, and the last person wasn't even done eating since he got his food way after the rest of us. No one came around to refill our waters once. The manager came over and I explained to her that the service was lacking and she proceeded to offer us dessert. Honestly, we couldn't wait to get out of there since we were there for about an hour and a half at that point. Not to mention that my daughter Was suffering outside with her allergic reaction due to their negligence in. Not taking proper precautions for food allergies. I didn't even have a chance to explain the situation to the manager because she was in such a hurry to take care of all the other issues that the surrounding tables had. This was by far the worst experience our family has ever had at any dining establishment. We want to make sure that everyone is made aware of not just their lack of service but lack of care for food preparation of those with allergies. Thankfully my daughter was better today but the whole rest of the day she was suffering. I am saddened by this because I love this type of food and was so excited to finally have a place that serves middle eastern food by my home. I will make sure to let everyone know how poorly this place is run. From the manager to the servers, this place needs an extreme change of staff or they will fail miserably! read more

It came to us as the wrong order and then when I said, just let me pay for what we ate, which was a side of Sweet potato fries and a chopped salad, which was tiny $10 worth of food they let us pay for it didn't even comp us that. Stopped for breakfast... avacado toast was fabulous! Mashed avacado on the bottom with sliced avocado on top of my egg. Tomato and radishes added texure and color. Went last night for dinner with my wife. Place looks nice my meal was absolutely the worst I have had out in recent time. We had a hummus appetizer. The hummus was thin like water and the pita bread was burnt. The waiter should have never brought the bread out and have the kitchen remake it. My wife had the salmon and she said it was good. I ordered the beef and lamb kebab. I asked the waiter if the beef was tender and he said yes. When it came out it looked like 2 hotdogs with a skewer through it. The waiter should have told me that the meats a ground up together in a food processor and they stick a skewer through it. Beside the fact that it was not what I expected it even tasted worse then it looked. The restaurant is overpriced for West Boca. I will not be going back. Plenty of Mediterranean restaurants around. Been to others much better. The waiter saw that I didn't eat it. Should have known I didn't like it. read more

We came in for dinner with a large group, so we had a variety of dishes to share. Best pita I have ever had, with a variety of dips, falafel, chicken schnitzel, pasta and pizza. For dessert we had the warm Nutella rugalah, which was beyond incredible. The restaurant is bright and airy and service was excellent. Highly recommend.
