I came here at the beginning of September. Heidi's Heavenly Cookies is tucked away in a business park, but it's easy to find with Waze! Parking was easy to find right in front of the business. I met both Emily and Heidi, and both of them were so nice and answered all of my questions. Based on what both of them said about the flavors and the popularity of the cookies, and, most importantly, what I like, I bought four chocolate chip cookies and four toffee chocolate chip cookies. I didn't mind waiting for them, but when Heidi returned from the production area with a eight cookies, each individually sealed in clear plastic in a clear bag that was very gift-giving worthy, I was so pleased! There were instructions about the cookies on a card included with my cookies. One of the instructions was to either eat the cookies or freeze them within two days, but, since the cookies didn't even last 24 hours after I bought them, I didn't have to worry about that advice. The cookies I bought were perfect! I loved that they weren't too sweet, were on the soft side, were moist, and tasted so good! Located in Alpharetta, Heidi's Heavenly Cookies lives up to its name! The storefront is unassuming and easy to miss but that's only because they're focused on delivering as many yummy cookies as they can across the globe! (They are located in a business park amongst other businesses that are also more shipping focused). There is plenty of parking, and the store is located about 2/3 of the way down the strip. In business for almost 20 years, Heidi and her amazing staff have been churning out countless batches of made from scratch cookies and bars that contain only the best of ingredients (and no preservatives). If Alpharetta is not close for you, they thankfully have a website where you can order their cookies shipped straight to you. You can also order online to pick up in store! I believe Heidi said that the majority of her business is orders for weddings, hotels, and the holidays. It's astonishing to think how many cookies she has to bake daily just to fill such requests. (Custom flavors can be requested if you are placing a large order - like 100's of cookies worth). Upon entry, you'll see a cute sitting area and cookie sampling station and in the back behind doors is a MASSIVE kitchen where they literally bake up magic. I arrived around 2pm on Friday afternoon between other customers, so I was able to monopolize a bit of Heidi's busy schedule to just chat and learn about her and her cookie operation. I was then immediately greeted with warmth, a huge grin, and an even bigger selection of cookie samples. Unlike some other places, they are not stingy about the samples and actually urged me to stuff my face to my hearts content! Unable to resist, I tried everything they recommended and of course I then had to purchase them all. I ended up purchasing peanut butter, toffee, and chocolate chip cookies and s'mores, sea salt caramel, pecan pie, and brookie bars. Oh and I had to get one of those massive rock-a-mallows (two rocky road cookies with marshmallows sandwiched in between then dipped in chocolate). Can you believe that one of those only cost me the price of two cookies?? You would think it would cost more since so much time goes into making one of those monstrosities. For handmade goodies, their prices are very reasonable and the fact that you can freeze the desserts make them all the more appealing. I definitely know what a lot of people are getting for Christmas this year and I cannot wait to go back to see what holiday goodies they have to offer! read more

Upon arrival at Heidi's it's not your typical bakery which I think makes this place even more awesome. Upon arrival I was a little thrown off because I was expecting a store front bakery. However when you open the door and get a woof of the sweet smell you instantly forget what a "bakery " is supposed to look like and you just follow the smell. -I was able to meet Heidi who is very sweet and has the best customer service. I really felt like I was at her house with how welcoming she was. What is really cool about her cookie shop is that they have a full production bakery in the back where they do mass production. Heidi's partner ( can't remember her name) gave me a little tour in the back. -The approach to Heidi's cookies is a traditional one. She uses all natural ingredients. OK, they're average and small, except for the pecan pie bar- that was very good, and I can get Ethel's Pecan Dandy in the grocery store and be just as happy for less $ per cookie. The cookies are about 2 1/2 inches across for $2.50-3.25 each. They're the size of the cookies that are in the refrigerated section of the grocery store that you break apart and bake. Not worth it for the size. I prefer the small, but much larger cookies at Great Harvest Bakery. I won't reorder, and doubt I'll finish the box I got for about $50 PLUS shipping, for I think 14 cookies. If you have money to throw away, these are presented well, and shipped safely, though no communication about when things are actually shipped, to be on the lookout for them. The peanut butter didn't have a lot of peanut butter flavor. The toffee chocolate chip was OK- but a bit salty in the toffee 'whatever-it-was' (and I like salted caramel usually). The mint eclipse was meh. The oatmeal raisin was also just an average cookie. The chocolate dipped macaroon was fair. The chocolate ship wasn't even in the top 5 chocolate chip cookies I've had. Most of them tasted processed, and like they have some kind of "industrial" ingredients- not like someone made them in their kitchen with only "grocery store" ingredients for a very good homemade flavor- which is what I want if I'm spending money on a luxury item (disability income- these were supposed to be a huge monthly treat; instead I got a huge lesson on not ordering cookies online). The Southern Pecan Pie bar was very good, but again, overpriced, and grocery store options are available that are just as good if not better. Go to Costco for something more affordable, more for your money, and just as good (so still not great). read more

Did you know? You can get fresh baked cookies locally delivered from Heidi's heavenly cookies. I googled a couple sites to find where I could get fresh cookies delivered to one of my bosses who lives in Alpharetta. I saw some things on Mrs. Fields, and some other random cookie sites. I wanted to do cookies bc (1) He's a guy (2) They're casual and (3) They're great for everyone -- some people think brownies are too heavy, cakes definitely are, and so why not cookies? Remember to sign up your email for an additional 10% off INSTANTLY! However, I have to say that it's a bit expensive. I ordered a batch of 30 cookies for $52. I also dont think they're that big. However, if you compare those prices to something on Cheryl's, it's really not that bad. They also wrap the box really elegantly. The whole purpose of a gift is to make sure it looks beautiful, has that WOW factor, and it's more than appropriate for corporate professionals... and Heidi does do a good job at that. Four stars because I am amazed at their easy to use website, beautifulk pictures, great gift designs, easy payment, and fast delivery (~1-2 days -- not 1 week in advance!). Planning a Georgia wedding from California is no easy feat. Having vendors as responsive and caring like Heidi's made it that much EASIER! We ordered 175 Southern Pecan Pie bars and 175 S'mores Bars as wedding favors for our May wedding. Deb & Heidi were fantastic to work with. Being so far away, they were kind enough to send pictures and answer all of my questions. Their appreciation to detail and customer service skills blew me away. My wedding colors were purple and blue, and they tied those specific colored ribbons to our favors. They looked amazing! Heidi made sure that these delicious treats were delivered on time on the day of the wedding. Everyone raved about the edible wedding favors. After we got back from our honeymoon, we had 25 of the bars delivered to California so we could share with our co-workers. The package was neatly wrapped and the bars tasted great. We absolutely LOVE everything that come out of the kitchen at Heidi's Heavenly Cookies. First of all the customer service is amazing. The packaging is so beautifully done, it is almost a gift, and I have to admit...I have saved the ribbons and boxes for wrapping birthday gifts. The best part of any Heidi's delivery is of course the out of this world cookies. My favorites have to be the toffee chocolate chip cookies, but the raspberry eclipse area amazing, the sea salt caramel bars are to die for...okay, the reality is I can't pick a favorite. They are ALL my favorites. The first time we had the toffee chocolate chip cookies, we sat at the table after dinner and I gave the kids a cookie, and we took one too. NOONE said a word until they were finished eating the cookies.
