It's great to have a line, but some of it could be avoided if they had it together. First of all is the empty frame as soon as you come in: people have to navigate around it to try to get to the end of the line and it's hard to see where you have to go. Next is they have mostly big tables in such a tiny place. They do have seating in the back with umbrellas and a fan, but they have a giant table there as well. Third is we only saw one menu floating around and it only has the brunch/cooked items. There is no list of what the pastries and breads are and they are blocked by people, so you have to wait until it's your turn to see what they have and ask questions which takes time. I would've loved to know what some of the items were, but didn't want to keep people waiting longer. Even some of the pastries had labels that didn't tell you what it is. There was only one person taking orders which also was time consuming. As far as food: The San Sebastian cheesecake was very nice and creamy The walnut coffee cake was good (it wasn't what I was expecting) The pineapple coconut cake is light and not too sweet, but fell flat for me The chocolate mousse cake was light and tasty The cream puff was by far the best thing we tried! The saffron French toast and cappuccino are still in question because it's been over 30 minutes and still haven't gotten them. We waited in line for over 30 minutes in line, over 30 minutes for food, not impressed enough with pastries...I'm disgusted! They spend more time making things pretty than having a functional cafe. Update: the cappuccino (looked like it's been sitting around...we didn't touch it before picture) and French toast came after waiting 45 minutes. They were ok, but wouldn't get again. read more

This place is a delight. Went this morning and the service was on point as usual. We ordered the creamy mushroom omelette & the gateau basque .. WOW!! My teenager exclaimed that the egg dish has been added to her "favorite dish" list which means that it was fantastic. She likes good food. If you love mushrooms, you'll love this. Not a typical omelette but more a cheesy and mushroom-y egg bake that is great. Will be back & will be ordering this again. It's a lovely shop inside, well decorated and minimalist. It has a variety of pastries. When I went, the staff seemed unorganized and one woman said I couldn't get a latte because the person who knows how to use that machine wasn't in yet. So I had a regular drip coffee. I drank it black because they didn't have any alternative milks (oat, almond, etc) However, based on other reviews, they may have started carrying some other milks. Salam Went to Cafe Lavande with a group today and loved it . Really pleasant ambiance . I loved the Persian Middle Eastern/French theme as I have never seen the two mix before . I did not try the food this time around but everything that the group ordered looked great . I had the lotus latte and it was amazing . Service was great. Unfortunately we did not set up a reservation and so for a big group that showed up unexpected we were seated in like 20 mins or so. That's not bad at all. Will definitely be back again. read more

They offer an assortment of sweets with fresh coffee in a beautiful ambiance and relaxing indoor seating. They also have a brunch menu that includes french toast, shakshuka (which was 10/10), bandari, omlettes, and more. Meat is halal for those who are wondering. They just opened in my neighborhood which is an affluent neighborhood in Milton, GA. I was looking forward to see what they bring. Today I had the chance to go and I ordered a creamy mushroom omelet which cost $14. Here is my review in a scale of 1 to 10: Cleanness: 10 Decor: 9 Atmosphere: 10 Customer Service: 4 Knowledge of products: 4 Preparation and service time: 3 Taste (subjective of course) 5 Although it says creamy, this is the driest omelet I have ever seen in my life. It was cooked in the oven too long in an aluminum pan (which explains why it took 30 minutes) It sticks to the bottom of the pan. It is more like a pizza without dough than an omelet. The bread was browned with eggs and I could smell the egg, which suppresses my appetite. The server didn't ask me if I want sugar for my coffee. I asked for some, but she never brought it to me. You could tell they are inexperienced in foods service. The place has a lot of potential. On this Saturday morning there was so many people. The owner must train both the kitchen and the service personnel to keep the momentum. My lengthy review is to help them succeed and stay in my neighborhood. I will go back in a month to see if things improve. That will determine my continuous support. read more

I stopped by this cafe recently one late Saturday afternoon. Perhaps the scant unattractive baked goods left for sale was due to the time of day. The cafe is cute and comfortable. But form over function is not enough to recommend this bakery cafe. The baked goods which are leavened with either yeast or baking soda/baking powder are inferior. The majority of the breads, rolls, scones etc were under baked resulting in a pale lifeless color. They should have a lovely deep golden brown crust. The lavender scone I purchased was not only pale white, but the inside was not even cooked. The center was the consistency of mashed potatoes. The croissants were not made with a laminated dough. They appeared to made with a roll or bread dough. I cannot make any comments about the cakes and cream based pastries other they than looked beautiful. I did not eat any of them. The latte I had was good. I do not recommend going here for the baked goods. read more
