I'll be absolutely honest. Girls are hot. Food is..what food? Girls are hot! I'd never been to a place like this..not a strip club, not a bar. But stacked with fairly attractive women who, for a decent tip, will talk to you. So the way I figure it, you can go to a bar, mosey on up to a girl, by her drinks, and drink up a storm. One is more expensive, one is slightly more natural and engaging. But at least here, she's talking in Victoria Secret lingerie and the flow and depth of conversation matter very little as your eyes do most of the talking anyway. read more

My friend and I were coming back from the beach and i told him about this place because it looked interesting. So we both dropped by and were surprised. We opened the door and were greeted by a fully nude women with body paint and she asked where we would like to be seated. In shock and trying not to stare we asked her to pick a spot for us. So she gave us a seat near the front counter and then asked what drinks we wanted. Since it was both our first time we asked what drinks were available, so she named all the drinks which is pretty cool how she has it memorized. So we both picked the Vietnamese iced coffee and waited. Then the drinks came and she served us iced tea/water? The coffee was filled with ice so there wasn't much of a drink but it was still good quality coffee. So within a couple of minutes our coffee was done and she took it away. The atmosphere is like a man cave, imagine a bunch of sexy girls walking left and right and UFC on tv. It was like a fantasy. The girls refilled our drinks every time it was 3/4 filled. Also lemme mention these girls are top quality sexy. What was kind've annoying was that the ladies didn't talk to us. Im guessing it was because were both 18, but this fat guy was all up on them. Poor guy probably can't get girls in real life so he decided to plop in to see them and be friends. They only seemed to be talking to the older guys like 40+ which was really dumb. What you cant have fun talking to someone younger? ;). The girls were really nice tho and you can take pictures with them and smoke inside. After a couple of hours we decided to pay and leave. We found out our coffees cost 6$ each! but hey it was a treat. The atmosphere is really chill and makes you want to stay. Also the music is pretty decent, I'm guessing it was on one of the girls Ipod on repeat. The Music is hip-hop and trance. Overall this place is for you if you want eye-candy and drinks. If you don't mind paying 6$ a drink. (Water/Tea) im sure is free and it makes you use the restroom because they fill it up often. Like many of the other reviews discuss, this place is not as advertised. Worth trying out once for the experience, but never again. There were very few waitresses, and only one that looked anything like the pictures. The few that were there looked very unhappy and had no personality. The don't have menus, which would be fine except that the waitress couldn't remember much of what they serve. The tables were covered in sticky crap and past messes. The place wreaked of smoke, even though I didn't see anyone smoking. (???) It would be a semi-relaxed atmosphere with everyone sitting around playing cards and watching sports, but they had unexplained club music blaring stupid-loud. The smoothie I got was decent. What can I say? Cafe Lu is the OG of Vietnamese coffee shops in Orange County. It's been around a long time, it's the biggest and probably the most well known. And it used to be awesome. Back in the day they used to have the hottest girls in the skimpiest barely-there bikinis and the biggest crowds. In its heyday they even had model quality girls walking around in nothing but body paint. It was spectacular. Unfortunately, those days seem to be over. These days at Lu you can still find pretty girls in bikinis or lingerie serving coffee and smoothies and pouring tea, but the energy is gone, the sense of wow is missing. In Austin Powers terms, this place has lost it's mojo. And I wish it would get it back. It doesn't help that the waitresses here spend very little time serving or socializing with customers and lots of time behind the bar talking amongst themselves. If you're not with a group that includes some of the owner's or waitresses friends, don't expect much service here at all. The food they serve is terrible, but the drinks are good. Hopefully Lu will improve and recapture it's former greatness. But for now.....not so much. read more

Cafe lu is a good place to enjoy some down time after work. I suggest go with a bunch of guy friends. The place is filled with Really HOT and Gorgeous Asian waitresses dressed up with only their bras and undies. Waitresses are generally friendly and they serve pretty good smoothies and Viet coffees as well. The only downside is they let people smoke inside. read more

Haven't been to many Viet coffee shops but this place has very good looking girls and at least 5-9 of them per shift. They will even put on game volume if you ask. Definitely worth checking out if you are around the area. read more

Get the banana strawberry shake its the only drink i get there very good. Girls there that serve drinks are all very attractive and recently have spot some well known import models that now work there (which is a big PLUS). The downside is that the girls don't really talk to you they just serve you your drinks and walk away. Ive been to cafe misses cutie and they chat you up a bit at there establishment which made the experience feel much better. I would rather go there than Cafe Lu. I probably only go here for some of the import model but that just my preference. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. Wish I can give this place 0 stars I went in there around 10 am and left not too long ago. Had cash on me to tip the girls hoping to make their day and to make them smile but none of them wanted to sit and talk to me. They avoided me like the plauge.which is fine cause I left with the mojority of my money. I tipped $2 to this beautiful girl and was gonna tip her a good 40-$50 extra if she would of just sat and talked to me but she showed no interest and I wanted to tip the other one, even asked for change to break my 20. But she also showed no interest. So she broke my 20 and didn't even come over to me after she handed the change. Guess some don't care about tips. Anyways, the other one that was there also showed no interest. All 3 girls working there were assholes. I saw from the corner of my eye, two of them talking and looking at me while laughing. They probably were trying to convince each other to approach me and then laugh about it, who knows. Either or, I didn't feel welcomed there but, hey, no worries, I won't be back. I love this coffer shop because it does not have the club like noisy music that disturbs all conversation that you would like to have at such places. Hottest girls you can find in VN coffee places. They also have a night when they wear 'ao dai' (vietnamese traditional long dress) which is just great as you just get bored looking at the usual slutty outfits. However, they are very very very very very very LAZY. Was very packed, but most girls where standing behind the counter and one was even playing some games on the machine. This is just unacceptable, could have gotten 5 stars from me otherwise. Well, there is always an exception. One girl that often came to our table and overall just did more than others. I went on a Saturday night (9/13/14) and wow was it pretty dead. I thought it would get busier on a weekend night, but it was dead. They were only 4 girls working there. Two, were hotties, the other two were ok. The two OK ones, the one that was fully dressed not very sociable at all. The other (she never told me her name) was very kool and awesome to talk to. ALL THE GIRLS there can learn from her and be more sociable. One of the hotties (don't know her name, was not wearing a Green Bikini) was sociable at the end. I wish she would have been more at the beginning and throughout my whole time there, I would have tipped more, waaay more. I had a chance to visit Cafe Lu over the weekend and I was not disappointed. Someone had suggested it likening the Cafe to a lovechild between starbucks and hooters. The environment was very relaxed The milk tea Michelle brought me was delicious. I was also fortunate to spend sometime with Jana (sp?). She made feel quite welcome and relaxed, not to mention I was getting lost in those lovely eyes of hers. Only thing I could say to improve is a small addition to the menu, Cheese Steak Fries would be awesome. read more

I was in town and What can I say, this is the Asian/Vietnamese Starbucks and Hooters in Orange County thats serves coffee, smoothies and food. All the pretty, mostly Asian waitresses wear bikinis and lingerie and high heels. Man, this is torture having to be around them only to just serve you food and drinks but none other than that. They were very nice and friendly, the type of girl that would give you a GFE but only in your head. There were a lot of TVs on sports channels and plenty of Vape smoke. The clientale, majority younger guys 20-30 who play card games, smoke with mean mugging looks and joke with each other. It gets old after a while i guess for some that repeatedly come here, because the waitresses know who are the regulars are and some won't even bother to be friendly as much. I must admit. I was lured to this place by all the photo's of gorgeous women my friend shared with me from his Facebook. Decided to try this place last week. It's not exactly in our neighborhood but we went anyways. I guess you can call it the draw or power of P. Once we arrived and entered the facility, we couldn't help but be overwhelmed by the smoke in the cafe. Even though smoking regulation prohibit businesses to allow indoor smoking, it went on like there is no such restriction. The establishment has signs up on the walls everywhere that say "NO SMOKING" but clearly, it's there as a legal disclaimer and not one person who works there could care less or does anything about it. Overlooking the smoke, the place is predominately filled with Vietnamese people (mostly men). The place is sort of dirty and lacks ambiance. Once we seated ourselves, one of the girls came over and poured us ice teas. She barely said hello and was very short. Came back with a menu to select coffee/tea or smoothies from. We ordered two smoothies and they arrived pretty quick. One was a coconut and one was pineapple. To be direct and short, I've had better smoothies at AM/PM. To charge $7-$8 per smoothie is a joke. In addition, the service and attitude sucked. The girls walked around like they were so hot and in my opinion, out of 5-6 girls there (who mostly sat at the counter and played on their phones), I would say 2 were hot and the rest were meh! Regardless, we paid and left as the smoke and attitude there wasn't exactly inviting. Needless to say, we won't be back. This place is joke but maybe, we just don't get it and it's more cultural. read more

The ladies are very friendly. However, there is one big problem. There are a number of No Smoking signs posted in the restaurant. I have been in there 3 times with a friend of mine from Fountain Valley. Each time numerous customers were smoking or vaping or both. I spoke with the person in charge and all they did was smile when I complained. This is against the law. Also, 2 of the waitresses are going to nursing school and complained to me. I will see if the publich health department can investigate and fine them if found in violation. read more
