Vermicelli bowl with egg roll, pork, and shrimp
    Victoria T.

We came by to grab a bite before our road trip to go back up north as they were advertising $8.50 pho. Upon entering, no one greeted us so we sat ourselves down. We were able to flag someone down to get menus. We ordered two bowls of pho and I got the vermicelli bowl with egg rolls, pork, and shrimp. They have utensils at the table and we grabbed the soup spoons and noticed they were all new but unwashed. All the spoons still had the stickers/labels on the back. Unsettling to know they didn't wash these and just left sticker residue and the remaining sticker they couldn't peel off of the soup spoons. We also asked for water at the beginning when ordering food and did not receive the water until the end of our meal when we were already done. The lady that was going to give us our water had them in her hands and was coughing so much she had to go to the back of the restaurant or back in the kitchen and then came out to us with the water. We did not touch or drink the water. You get what you pay for which is not good customer service or cleanliness. They also do not give you a receipt and the shrimp in the vermicelli bowl were insanely small and tiny. Many other good pho places around.

I love this place! It was definitely a childhood spot for me and my family since my grandmas house was near by and even after 15+ years I still come back. The restaurant does a great job accommodating for big parties, pushing tables together and having the space needed for all of us to sit together. Food comes out in a timely manner and is always hot and delicious. The owner and workers are super sweet and are very quick to attend to our needs. The price point, accessibility, and space is perfect for our needs! Definitely try them out for late night pho :)

Pho is always consistent and hits especially at night. Cash only. Small bowl is $12 while large bowl is $15.

Pho Thanh does not disappoint. It doesn't have the glamour and glitz like some of the newer Vietnamese places in Little Saigon, but offers to satisfy your cravings 24/7.... Yes, this place is open 24/7

Open 24/7 Great shrimp pho.. have ordered to go and ate there the other night. They were really busy at 2:30 am But still had quick service. Food came out pretty fast. Egg rolls are delicious CASH ONLY so be prepared to use the atm and pay the fee if not

Knew This restaurant over 25 yrs. Before after the fundraising, my group always been here enjoyed the later meal ( 2nd dinner time) Before went home. Great Noodle (Phö) , nice service and the price okey here in 24 hrs/7 days. Come back today for dinner with Phö tái was good for me.

Service is so bad, went there are 11pm there's only 3 tables and we're five people and we ordered and they took our orders the pho and pork bbq came out but we ordered steamed chicken and shrimp fried rice and it's been 30minutes already and we follow up and the lady said 5minutes and after 10minutes some of us are done eating already and we follow up the chicken and fried rice again and the same lady said 5minutes again because there's a new chef and after 15minutes the chicken is still not out, i went to the counter and the rude guy said we ordered the chicken late and I told him we ordered it all at the same time and he said what do you want me to do? We ended up cancelling the order and went home after an hour of waiting. Worst customer service will never come back even if it's the last restaurant open at night. Worst worst worst people and restaurant

Opens 24/7 and plenty of parking. Huge and spacious inside (abit cold in the morning) with plenty of tables/seats. They have special sales of $8.50 for regular bowl of noodle and with $2 more, you will get a large bowl. Portion is very generous and the soup base is well broth. Service is very nice and easy order & quick turnaround. Overall very tasty hot bowl of pho for a morning glowing May in SoCal. Just abit loud on the music, especially in the morning (see the video). I ordered a large and a cup of water for a total of $13 with tip. Not bad at all.

Great place to grab vietnamese pho late at night. Try their combo meat and rib. Make sure to bring cash.

I tried the chicken fried rice and it was very tasty. It was fragrant and seasoned very well. Place is open 24/7. Service is fast and everyone is friendly. It is cash only but there is an atm on site. The seating was nice aswell. Planning on coming back to try the pho next.

We came in for a late dinner, and the place has plenty of seating. Service was fine. Pretty good prices and portion sizes. - Combo pho (4.5/5): Very flavorful, huge bowl. All the meats were delicious. Definitely hit the spot. - Steak (4/5): Tender, juicy, cooked well.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

The pork patties were my favorite, and although there were plenty of the grilled pork, many of them were pieces with a lot of fat. That was my only gripe about it. Now about the hu tieu, which came with all the delicious bbq pork, shrimp, shredded chicken, fried garlic and onions, lightly dressed in an oh so delicious sauce. For me, the sauce was actually the star. Mix everything together and get yourself one delicious bite, filled with so much flavor. Be prepared: this place is incredibly popular, especially during peak hours. Parking can definitely be challenging because of how busy it is. The last time I visited on a Monday, the lot was completely full, and I ended up parking on the street. The restaurant is also primarily cash only, so come prepared. They open early, making it a perfect breakfast spot for an early bowl of pho. The pho broth is exactly what I want when I'm craving comfort food--clean, flavorful, and incredibly soothing. However, the star of the meal for me was the chả giò. Wow. Although they arrived after our pho, they came out at the perfect temperature. I was hesitant to take a bite right away because freshly fried food usually burns my mouth, but these were just right. Crispy, airy, savory, and absolutely delicious. Paired with their fish sauce, it was perfection. I enjoyed the egg rolls so much that next time I'm definitely ordering the egg roll vermicelli bowl. Service was friendly and prompt despite how busy it was, and it's clear the staff works hard to keep things moving. One thing I love is seeing all of the awards and accolades displayed on the walls. Phở 79 received the prestigious James Beard America's Classics Award, and it's easy to understand why after one meal here. This restaurant is truly an Orange County icon. The restaurant will soon be moving to a new location, as signs throughout the restaurant announce the upcoming move. While I'll miss the original spot, I'm excited for the new space--hopefully with more parking! Some places are worth the wait, and Phở 79 is absolutely one of them.
