The minute I walked in i fell in love. I was in Atlanta for the weekend and after walking around Downtown, doing some shopping and visiting tourist spots, I wanted to sit and relax have a cup of coffee and get online. I looked in google maps for a Cafe near me and several popped up. I looked at the photos of several of the Cafes and when I got to the photos of Cafe Lucia i was hooked. I set my Phone's GPS to take me walking to the cafe. It took me like 13 minutes to walk there from where I was, but i wasn't bad, the weather in Atlanta is cloudy and breezy so not hot at all. When i walked in I got a sense of warmth and coziness. the place look old and welcoming, kind of reminded me of a cafe Harry Potter and his friends would go to. the music was eclectic, not too loud, i walked in and ordered a cappuccino, the young lady at the cash register was a sweetheart. We chatted for a couple of minutes, and I felt as if I knew here from a long time. I got my coffee and a bottle of water and sat down. they have free WiFi which is great, so I found a little spot and settled in. I do have to say that the only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because it was a bit warm inside, the ceiling fans were not on and it was a bit uncomfortable. I think if the fans had been on, I would have spent more time there and hence spend more money, but as south Floridian, I am very accustomed to air conditioning all day long. Overall I loved this place. I will definitely come back next time I am in Atlanta, this is definitely my type of spot. read more

Tiny, hole in the wall cafe. Easy to pass by without noticing. A few indoor tables available. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. No frills breakfast/sandwich options. On the higher price range, considering the small portion size. Very limited menu--just simple sandwiches. Good selection of teas and coffee. We got a customizable croissant sandwich and a chicken Salad croissant. Recommend asking to microwave the chicken salad, which was surpassingly well marinated with an assortment of herbs. Stumbled upon Cafe Lucia while in town. Walking distance in midtown ATL. A cute and modern cafe with cute outdoor seating, a comfy couch and plenty of tables indoors to choose from. The location is pet-friendly! They have dog bowls inside. They offer a good selection of food and drinks! I ordered the hash brown bowl and was pretty satisfied along with an iced vanilla latte! This review is for a friend. The Australian musical band "Hoodoo Gurus" stopped in for lunch on Sunday and had to leave after waiting 40 min for their meal. It's bad when they tell a story about how they were treated bad by a crappy restaurants in America/Atlanta. They paid and never got served. read more

I reaaaalllyyy wanted to like this place. Ive been 3 times in the last month. The first time was great. The second time, my tea tasted like plain hot water and my breakfast croissant was so burnt that it was charred and inedible. The third time, the tea in my cream was curdled. The barista noticed while she was making it, so she told me she'd make another. 3 minutes later, she gave me a cup (covered with a lid, of course), but it was barely warm and when I checked, the cream was curdled.. seemed like she didnt make me a new cup but just stalled as if she had. Overall, when they start to get busy, the quality drops significantly. Not sure if I'll be back for a 4th time. read more

What a kind warm and wonderful spot in the center of five points. During the rain we found this the only place open to sit as holiday season had changed the hours and the rains and COVID had shut places . While it still remains cash only we found this spot kind and charming and well stocked with oat, almond and soy milk. It's a wonderful afternoon spot and we cannot wait to be back. This is a small cafe but they have a lot of options for hot breakfast items and lattes. If you're a latte lover, this is your haven. So many creative types of lattes! Also they're eggs are fresh, not the scrambled carton eggs. The only downside I will say is the interior design is not really exciting. Sorta wish they had nicer chairs/tables. But it is a quaint and quiet place if you're looking to bring your computer and get work done. read more

When I entered the store a customer was inside with a towel on....That was a sign to leave.... Pros: the service was fast. The egg was real Cons: the breakfast sandwich was mediocre at best. barely cooked bacon. The coffee was basic similar to a at home cup. The ambiance was that of a bodega or a cafeteria. Conclusion: There's a Dunkin' Donuts around the corner where you'll have the same experience for less. I would rate my experience a 1.5. read more

Please, come and try this amazing little spot in the middle of downtown Atlanta! We stopped by and ordered an iced coffee with Oatmilk. I about finished the entire drink before I even walked out! It's not a large space, seating is limited. But, if you're looking for a great cup of coffee before you go on about you Day, try this place out! The service was equally as amazing! I have been coming to Cafe Lucia for a long time and I do like the menu options a lot. I was here on Saturday with a friend and the line was pretty long inside. I enjoyed the Harrison, the Reg and the Berry White(very unique flavor) however the hash browns tasted were not enjoyable even after adding salt and pepper. The food came out at a good pace, however I was dining in and only my food was brought to the table and I couldn't hear my name for my coffee because the tables are so far from the barista. Would definitely recommend for a quick take out order vs a dining in experience. read more

Favorite breakfast and coffee! Located a short walk from the little five points Marta station, which is critical because there is no free and very little paid parking available in this part of town, this small but lofty shop has an adorable and cozy atmosphere that's great for sipping and lounging. Stellar coffee and tea with a wide variety and a constantly changing list of unique specials! The food is delicious and made fresh for great prices! For something light and refreshing, I highly recommend the garden worm, a $6 egg and veggie sandwich with goat cheese atop delicious naan bread! Furniture is adorable and comfy, but the place can get full, there is extra seating in the connecting building but for some reason security from the building has a habit of being very rude to Patrons. read more

Visited this shop with my friends as we walked around downtown Atlanta and wanted to quench our thirst. We wanted smoothies and saw that they had a couple on the menu. Probably was a dumb idea to order smoothies from a coffee shop, but hey you live and learn. First, my friend ordered the strawberry banana smoothie and she said it was disgusting. I tried some of hers and she was right, it was truly disgusting. It was very watered down, which was weird because it just came off the blender. Knowing that, I decided to order the passion fruit smoothie. Now that smoothie was good! What I did not like though was that the employee tried to hand me a smoothie that was not completely full. I did not take it and of course complained saying I'm not paying full price for a smoothie that is not completely full. She turned around without saying anything and proceeded to make me another smoothie. This time it was nice and full. The service here was trash. No greeting when you enter. No pleasant interaction with the employee. She barely spoke to us and just looked like she did not want to be there. Needless to say, I will never return here. read more

This has got to be the worst experience in history of cafes. This place was close by our hotel and seemed really cute from the pictures but I will never be back!!!!! Upon walking in, we weren't welcomed, the girl was working by herself and her face showed how pissed off she was and that's pretty much how we were treated. We were the biggest inconvenience for her by adding more orders to her day. She finally got some help but was it really? The 2nd girl walks in and just ended up taking new orders instead of asking the other girl what orders she's backed up with. Is this not common sense?? 25 minutes later I see a new patrons getting food and drinks before is. WTH!! No apologies for anything. Then out is sitting on the counter and they didn't call our name. I get being backed up, however, NONE of the food items here take 30 minutes to cook. It's literally 5 minutes. 5!! read more

Our regular coffee run on weekend and we find a this spot decided to stop in. It's a cute little coffee shop it's not big they have a few tables. We had 2 Carmel latte two sandwiches, One turkey BLT and hot ham and turkey and cheese. both sandwiches was delicious quick breakfast sandwich just simply delicious. The parking could be a little tough because it's street parking they have a few parking lots around the area you can park and walk to the coffee shop. I love the areas they have to sit around the shop too. I personally think that's way too long to just be standing there. But if you don't mind waiting almost 30 minutes (between placing your order and receiving your order) then it's a fantastic coffee shop!

It would be amazing to have the opposite -- an amazing coffee shop with quality things to buy. Until that happens, I'll appreciate this though. They focus on New Orleans/Louisiana style drinks for their signatures, but they have all the lattees and fancy macciatos available for the coffee snobs like me. I enjoyed their New Orleans style coffee and it was a good blend of spices yet not too strong. My cousin got a cappaccino which had pretty coffee art. This isn't the place to go if you're on a type of diet needing to alter ingredients to make it fit. Just throwing that out there. Their New Orleans style coffee comes pre-made. They have other options, but don't try to get their signature items. Note, they do have seating. Like one table and some bar stools, but that counts right? I don't believe it was near an outlet to do some work, but it wasn't too busy. I would ask a study group to meet me here, but it would be risky since there is not a lot of options if another group is already there.

Was in town for work and needed a nice place to work quietly for work while enjoying a nice cup of coffee. This place was only a few minute walk and it was a cool little gem. This cozy little cafe was amazing. I got a pistachio honey americano, which was amazing. I also got the harrison breakfast sandwich was great. Music was not too loud you couldn't work or take a zoom call. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful answering my million questions. Got to check this place out. Try one of their speciality drinks. The huge bonus is, when getting mixed coffee drinks they tend to be barely hot. This is the first place that I have not had to ask to make their coffee extra hot. read more

I went to Cafe Lucia in Downtown Atlanta with a friend for a quick breakfast, and I loved the cozy, intimate vibe even though the space is a little tight. The wall art gives it such a cute aesthetic, and it's walking distance from pretty much everything, so I was able to walk there from my apartment! For those driving, street parking may have fees, but there are spots nearby. The staff were friendly and made the visit really pleasant. Cafe Lucia, formerly one caffe from the flat iron building. The new location is SO much better. Inside is much larger and has more seats. GREAT coffee, VERY NICE baristas!! I would definitely recommend this place. Try their chai latte and specialty coffees. It is definitely a must :) GSU students get discounts too! read more

They use great beans and I have never had a bad drink here. On top of their good coffee, their pastries are also excellent. We got the raspberry danish and they heated it up for us. The croissant part was so buttery, flaky, and crisp. The filling was also an excellent flavor. Since they don't bake in house, I was surprised by the quality of this pastry. I love the areas they have to sit around the shop too. They have created unique sections with different vibes which makes it enjoyable to come here and work for a little bit while enjoying your treats.
