Slow service on a Saturday morning but the barista was friendly. Coffee was good. The sandwich was not totally what I was expecting but generous portion sizes and tasted fresh. Somewhat pricey for breakfast, coffee and the sandwich was $25. Plenty of seating was a positive too.

Great consistent spot on the Island! That being said, there are a few dishes that are consistently delicious - the Reuben (the mushroom version is great, but the meat one is my favorite sandwich here) and any of the espresso drinks. The staff are personable, the Wi-Fi is good, and the noise level is pretty low. So grab your coffee beverage of choice, sit down, and work away. And if you're still there at lunchtime, get the Reuben. And take half of it home, because it's a big sandwich and you'll want that other half later.

The service was excellent and the owner and Haley were so fun. Mushroom Swiss quiche and spicy chai latte. The crust was flaky and the quiche was so savory delicious. The chai latte was made with oat milk and just the perfect spice blend. The restaurant is very accommodating to any guest request with alternative dairy options. Great place to stop to relax or grab a quick option to go.

Decided to make our first trip to Vashon Island on a Tuesday. Alot of the eateries are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. We were hungry and so we decided to try Cafe Luna. They were absolutely jammed with orders, but everyone was extremely nice. I had the turkey Panini and my partner had the grilled tuna. Both plates were absolutely wonderful as they came with a side of chips and a pickle. We just sat here and took our time eating and can't wait to come back! Thank you for making our first experience for eating on Vashon Island a good one!

Good coffee & baked goods. Nice atmosphere inside. A classic stop for local Vashonites, nice and tucked away from the main strip.

Now, I'd just had some bad things happen in my life and was looking for something that might bring me some joy, so I ordered the strip even though it was a little pricey, and I didn't know much about the place. My brother in Christ, let me tell you, that was the most gloriously delicious steak I've ever eaten. Cooked perfectly. Buttery. An almost crackling crust. Seasoned well but not overwhelming. My wife's noodles were also fantastic, but that steak was out of this world. She made me trade once she tasted it. We finished with a really nice, not too sweet chocolate mousse. They nailed all of it. I'm as shocked as anyone to tell you that this was the best restaurant meal I've ever had, and I don't like anything.

Service was friendly, but at the end of the day it's about the food - which is why the 1 star. What…read morewe experienced were the two worst sandwiches we've ever eaten! The pulled pork sandwich had what seemed to be nearly half a bottle of mustard mixed with a lot of coleslaw and a little bit of smoked pork buried within as though it were a mafia informant that got the cement shoes treatment. The French Dip sandwich also had what seemed to be a half a bottle of horseradish cream sauce... which burned my eyeballs and fumigated my nostrils! I could only take about 3 bites before I couldn't handle the potency any longer. It was literally a horseradish sandwich with a side of weak broth. The abundance of condiments on both of the $25 overpriced sandwiches turned the bread into mush leaving us on the Brink of sandwich hell. The service, however, was good - I was able to get a different sandwich with no questions asked. Sadly I must award you no points for the food, and may God have mercy on your soul.

We got a small split scoop of crème brûlée & pumpkin and a small split scoop of chocolate chip and pumpkin all the flavors were 10/10 but RUN DON'T WALK to get the pumpkin gelato from Vashon Thriftway while they still have it, it tastes like the best parts of a pumpkin pie! We were having a craving for ice cream on island and went to a few ice cream shops and were not impressed with what the island had to offer (2 businesses selling heavily freezer burned overpriced ice cream). Also the customer service we received from other establishments was very shocking. A lot of unfriendly teens. We had given up on the idea of an ice cream type treat and went to Thriftway to get groceries for our stay and were excited to see they had a gelato counter. The young person named Cass (hope I am spelling their name correctly) was INCREDIBLY sweet just a lovely person and great employee. Cass is the one who encouraged us to try the pumpkin flavor and we are so glad that they did. Thank you Cass and Thriftway for adding sweetness to an already perfect day!

Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind and welcoming, especially Jennifer. * Casual and quaint retro diner vibe. Nothing fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. * Fries were really good, crispy and lightly battered. * Hand dipped corn dogs were tasty. * "Fun size" meals are a great option and come with a tiny ice cream cone, which is a nice touch. * Self serve drinks and condiments (I personally like being able to get things myself, and everything was clean and stocked.) * Two private restrooms (no stalls/single occupancy) + indoor and outdoor seating options What fell short: * The biggest downside is the price. I understand there's an "island premium," but the value just didn't match the steep cost. * Burger was okay, but the patty felt small for the price. * Onion rings were not good. They had thick, undercooked onion and chewy breading. * The chicken bites were extremely dry. They were edible, but I'd honestly take just about any other fast food nugget over these. That's especially disappointing because they looked like they started with decent quality white meat. My kid took one bite and pushed the rest away, which is a first for anything breaded and fried. Overall, the service was great and we enjoyed the family friendly setup, but the prices and inconsistent food quality make it hard to justify coming back regularly.
