The cafe was very busy, but they got my order out pretty quick. The service was attentive and fast. I ordered: The mozzarella tomato pita sandwich - the portions were a good size but how much you're paying for I would prefer something more filling. Tomato bisque - soup was good but it was cold when I got it. Lucky latte - the latte was on the sweeter side I would give it a try if wanted to go somewhere to study.

This is a delicious and lovely cafe located in Cumberland Maryland! It is a few minutes walk from the National Park (C&O biking lanes) and Maryland historic train rides. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the eatery is well organized and designed. I ordered the gingerbread latte with oat milk, it was a little watered down with the milk, but otherwise yummy. I also liked the iced Apple Cider chai, I would highly recommend that!

This was a nice stop on our roadtrip. The place is bigger than it seems from the outside, lots of seating options. I got a caramel macchiato which was good and a chicken quesadilla which was very good. My partner got the lox and bagels which he enjoyed. Things are reasonably priced and service was fast and friendly.

What a friendly and cool vibe. We found this cafe to be relaxing and the food was great. The powder room was hilarious. Our food came quickly. There should be more bike parking outside once the city finishes construction on the road. I loved this place so much that I bought a tee shirt to take with me.

The coffee here is amazing! We had solid breakfast here also but the coffee was the best part. I will Recommend and gladly return. The staff was hardworking and friendly, they had a line out the door and were crushing it!

Awesome stop on the way through town. The Italian omelette was overflowing with sausage and the coffee was excellent.

I asked a couple questions about the menu and was immediately directed to the BLT by a woman in the kitchen. Wow I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good. The bread was toasted perfectly (so it didn't kill the roof of my mouth), the tomato's and lettuce were fresh, the bacon crispy, and that basil mayo. A life changing BLT if there is such a thing. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. The name "Bittersweet Cafe" will take on a deeper meaning (the news articles can be found in the walls before the counter by the bathrooms). Cheers Bittersweet, thanks for having me, and God bless!

Nice landscaping provides a near perfect setting to enjoy a cup of coffee. I ended up getting a simple red eye. It was delicious. I understand they brew Iron Star coffee out of West Mifflin. The same Iron Star that owns Coffee Tree shops. If this coffee is any indication, I think I need to visit Coffee Tree again. It's been a while. Anyway, I had a really good cup of coffee and a peanut butter and jelly cookie. No complaints on the cookie, but I wish they had some breakfast sweets like scones or cinnamon rolls. Next time I'll try some real food. Just be aware that things are a little pricey here.

That led us straight to Heidi's Bakery & Cafe, and honestly? Total home run. There's a sign hanging on the wall that says: "Homemade with love and butter." That pretty much tells you everything you need to know. You can taste the care and quality in everything they make. We ordered the BLTs on homemade sourdough, and they were absolute perfection --thick, delicious bacon, crisp beautiful lettuce, sweet tomatoes, and sourdough that deserved its own standing ovation. A truly excellent BLT is a thing of beauty, and Heidi's version was gorgeous. The french fries had some kind of secret seasoning situation happening that made them completely addictive. Every bite somehow got better. And then the desserts. Cupcakes. Cookies. Pastries. Basically a direct shipment from heaven itself. The kind of bakery case that makes you start negotiating with your own self-control and losing immediately.
