This is a cute Korean cafe that presents their desserts in a traditional, yet modern way. They have food (I think they're known for their tonkatsu) but I've only tried their desserts so my review will only speak for the latter. I got the sweet potato tiramisu and persimmon bingsoo (korean-style shaved ice). Their bingsoo is unlike your typical bingsoo with a bunch of toppings. Rather, it's very simple with shaved ice on the bottom and a persimmon flavored topping. They have other flavors like strawberry, sweet potato, etc. They give some more topping (syrup) on the side for you to enjoy with the remainder of the bingsoo as you wish. Mine wasn't too sweet, which I liked. As for the sweet potato tiramisu, it was just alright. I wasn't the biggest fan of the flavor but my mom and boyfriend liked it. Again, it's not too sweet, but it's definitely sweeter than the bingsoo. It was very light while still creamy. Fyi- the portion size is small which is why you may see people order multiple to share. I do think it's small for the price you pay but I guess you pay for the aesthetics of it (Instagram worthy for sure). The interior of the place is simple with a touch of korean influence. The walls have girls in hanbok (traditional clothing) and a small area with Korean style seating on an elevated floor. But there are regular tables/chairs so no need to worry sitting on the floor if that's not your thing. The only other complaint I have besides prices is the wait time. I had to wait about 20 minutes for 2 desserts...definitely not ideal. But it's poppin there on weekends so go on a weekday if you want to avoid the wait. read more

I don't know what to say. The only thing I could taste was breading on the donkatsu. The gravy was bad, but you had to use it to make up for the flavorless donkatsu. There was no dressing on the side salad, so there was no flavor at all. The snowflake donkatsu was covered with parmesan cheese flakes, which again was flavorless, and it made the donkatsu even drier. Also, last but not least, they gave us plastic utensils to cut the donkatsu, which doesn't work well and are incredibly wasteful. This experience made us not want their bingsu at all. It's literally the most delightful tonkatsu crunch I've experienced. Someone needs to ASMR it. I've gotten the matcha tiramisu and the injeolmi tiramisu. Both are good. I preter the injeolmi one bc I love injeolmi. The powder on top is really dry though so sometimes it coats the roof of ur mouth and you need to like drink water to get it to destick from your mouth. I've also gotten the persimmon bingsoo. Was so refreshing. They give you extra sauce stuff too which is nice. And extra condensed milk stuff? To pour over the shaved ice so it's sweeter. I love sweet. Also the best part is that the cafe is cute. If the stuff was ugly it might just be a l r i g h t but the care they take to make the food look beautiful is really admirable!!!! When there on Sunday for lunch. When we order, thought I was talking to a robot. Not friendly very mechanical. Ordered food and waiting for food to come out. Waited 30 mins and still didn't get our food so went to the counter and asked them when we can get our food. She said what is your ticket number, we have too many orders, so just wait for it. Not even apologize at all. There were only 5 tables including us and 1 of them ordered shaved ice which is not coming out from kitchen. Waited another 10 min to get our food. So we waited total of 40 min to eat. I understand if they were really busy and had full tables. But half of cafe was empty. I will never go back. Service wasn't good and takes too long to get food. And the pork entree we ordered also was crispy and delicious to eat! The food was plated wonderfully!! Not to mention this place has amazing desserts! I love this spot for both coffee and a sweet or savory bite. Super cozy and safe during the current conditions. The coffee process and beans are from Alchemist Trading Company in John's Creek which is some of the best around. The dutch iced coffee method is my favorite to truly understand the flavor notes of the bean with a very smooth finish. My wife enjoys the iced and hot dutch latte. To eat the chicken and pork katsu is yummy goodness that we enjoy and it comes with a fresh cabbage salad, rice and pickled ginger and pickles on the side. The curry which has grilled onions and carrots always hits the spot and is my personal favorite. My only criticism is that rice although pretty in presentation is a little over cooked but it's not a deal breaker. The sweet options are plentiful and the purple sweet potato ice cream my daughters love. They also have a rotating glass area that rotates sweet options and the lunchbox strawberry cake was our latest favorite. I had a great experience at Cafe Mixx. It was my first time, and I heard a lot of great things about the desserts. We had the donkatsu, crispy chicken wings, ice cream cold brew and the purple sweet potato bingsoo. The presentation was beautiful--clean and simple. I was so surprised by the crispiness of the donkatsu and chicken wings. It wasn't too much dough, but it was fried to perfection--& it had flavor! Which is also another plus. I really enjoyed the desserts. I'm a huge coffee addict, so I REALLY loved the ice cream cold brew. It's a great dessert to get after a heavier meal. All in all, I had a really good experience here. I had passed this place numerous times and wanted to try it. Finally came in by myself on a Thursday evening with my laptop to use while having dinner. The first door had a mask-required sign. I had not seen one of those on a business in about 8 months so I had to go back to my car to find a mask. Retrieved a mask and went in to be met with a no public restrooms sign. Is this really a problem here? I would expect to see that in an area with a lot of foot traffic but there is nowhere around here that people would be just walking by. Attempted to locate a place to sit so I could set my computer down before placing an order at the counter. All of the tables had signs indicating the minimum number of people required in your party in order to sit there. The tables reserved for single diners were too small to have both plates of food and a laptop. But they did have several small tables with power outlets as if they expected people to bring computers but they did not place tables near the outlets big enough to fit both food and a computer. Very strange. After walking around I found all of the signage very off-putting and just walked out. read more

Cute, delicious, and different. They have flavors that you don't normally see. For example, I got the sweet potato tiramisu. It was good, but I didn't particularly like the bottom layer of cake. It seemed like normal box-mix cake. The dessert itself was a bit messy since the powders on top (sweet potato powder and powdered sugar) kinda of went everywhere every time I took a spoonful. I liked that the dessert itself had small pieces of sweet potato inside of it. The bingsu here is pretty good too, but for nearly $10, the amount you get is now where worth the price. I enjoyed their sweet potato chips. The sweet potato soft-serve was good too, but portion size was again small for the price. This is a nice place to go if you want to impress a girl on a date with cute desserts. However, it's not really worth the price if you're just doing here casually. 3.5/5 stars from me mainly because of the price. If I could give zero stars I would. Attempted to try this spot for the first time and arrived to this establishment at 6:35pm just to be told the kitchen was closed. When we first walked in, there was no one there to greet us so we were unsure whether to seat ourselves or order food first then sit down.
