One of the cutest little places you'll ever visit cranking out delicious breakfast dishes! We had breakfast two days in a row, and everything was great. Eggs prepared exactly as ordered, quality bacon and sausage, huge and fluffy blueberry pancakes, cinnamon rolls that are worth the trip all by themselves, and lots of great coffee. We enjoyed having (Delta) Dawn as our server both days. She was fun, attentive and made recommendations that were outstanding. The place was much busier this morning, and happy and smiling Brady was a huge help in getting drinks and condiments. Eat inside or on the patio (weather permitting, of course). Both were great. The new owners have made some nice improvements over the past year, and they were smart enough to "not mess with" the best of the old place (namely the cinnamon rolls and blueberry pancakes)... This used to be our favorite go-to for breakfast, as it was for several of our friends and family. It recently changed hands and it has gone downhill-fast. There's an up charge for raisin toast-which I happily pay. However, they only serve 1 piece of toast (very small and thin) and you have to request your 2nd piece. They're now doing that with all toast orders. I always order the same thing and since they fired the cook that had been there for years my last omelette there was inedible. We had a straight shot looking into the kitchen and our son watched the cook (no gloves) pick up his phone, pick up raw bacon and put on the grill, pick up his phone again, come out to the cash register and count money, then go back into the kitchen without washing or sanitizing his hands and continue to cook. We also had to go to the kitchen to find the server for coffee refills. I get that the new owner is trying to make money but you can't cut back on everything. The owner walked in while we were there and never addressed anyone. Noka is a very very small and quaint place, across the street from Mullett Lake. It seats comfortably about 20 people, plus a small counter. There was always personality and a comfortable atmosphere in Noka. We were regulars (and very good tippers) and made friends with a few of the past servers. Unless/until things change we're finished going there. Indian River has 2 other places to go for breakfast/brunch/lunch that are clean, friendly, and the food is great. read more

I usually don't trust high reviews in small towns because they tend to receive overrated reviews due to the lack of choices in the area. When I saw the sign that said "World's Best Pancakes," I knew I had to order them. They were honestly the best, biggest pancakes I've ever had in my life. Customer service: Our waiter was so sweet, helpful and gave us great service. Very much appreciated. Food: Wonderful homestyle food, in my opinion a little too greasy (or buttery) for my taste. I enjoyed their veggie omelette along with hash browns and cinnamon roll. Everything was perfectly cooked, and tasted good. Everything here is fantastic from the food, to the ambience, friendliness, etc. The only improvement they could make for me would to have good quality bold coffee. People can always dilute their's a bit with water or creamer, but my coffee was so weak, I needed very little cream and it just tasted like coffee flavored water. read more

Great local spot for breakfast. It's all fresh and cooked to perfection. Had a cheese omelette that was perfectly fluffy and the American cheese was melted just right. Good service too from local friendly people. There aren't a ton of choices to choose from so it's nice to have a good spot to go to for good food. Chef should also take a crash course for cleanliness, nobody wants to see food put in the mouth, not being continued by washing your hands. Their hours have not been updated. My friends had blueberry hotcakes and were very satisfied too. It is a small diner with very little seating. Many people eating outside. Lots of people on bikes come with groups. We visit Cafe Noka once a year when we vacation on Birchwood/Mullett Lake. We love the place for breakfast. Food is typical diner food and delicious. Pancakes are huge! If you are not really hungry, order one - it will be plenty. Service is friendly. Try to go at non-peak times to avoid a wait. Place is really small (maybe 8 or 10 tables), and you'll be close to your breakfast neighbors. I love going out for breakfast and this is one of my favorite places! read more
