Breakfast for $9.50 Yum

Absolutely delicious breakfast - the pancake had to be 8" in diameter & there were 2 ! Plus 2 eggs & 2 pcs of bacon .... For 9.50? Wow ! Plus they were so accommodating- we had our ( well behaved ) dog with us & they set up a table outside - remember to bring cash!

Environment: Very homey (literal), small place, I felt as if I was eating breakfast in my own home. Great view of Mullet Lake. Customer service: Our waiter was so sweet, helpful and gave us great service. Very much appreciated. Food: Wonderful homestyle food, in my opinion a little too greasy (or buttery) for my taste. I enjoyed their veggie omelette along with hash browns and cinnamon roll. Everything was perfectly cooked, and tasted good. Price: For all the amazing food we got it was so cheap, and for how good it tasted I believe it was a great price. Overall. I really enjoyed my visit here, will definitely be coming again!!

Incredible food. You get a lot of food for the price. It's like a home cooked meal from mom.

This beautiful restaurant once belonged to my grandparents -Robert and Ida Graham. It was so wonderful to come see it looking so nice. And such great owners and staff. It was truly a wonderful visit. Do yourself a favor and stop in.

Their handmade bakery goods and other goodies are made fresh daily, sometimes hourly, are always delicious and you can tell they take great pride in only offering the very best they can. We have ordered 'Yule log' otherwise known as 'Bûche de Noël', Christmas cake several times, including this year & they are always delicious and very well received by our Christmas guests! They use locally sourced ingredients where they can and always seem to have a lively, fun, yet relaxed atmosphere of locals and seasonal guests either stopping by for an excellent cop of coffee & a treat or maybe lingering for a while enjoy a breakfast treat or sandwich and while hopping onto the Internet to check of email via their Wi-Fi network. You are always greeted with a friendly 'Welcome' or 'Hello, we'll be right with you.' if they are busy and you always feel welcome even if it's your first time! We loved everything we've tried including their artesian breads, pastries, cookies, Pecan Rolls (so good when they've just come out of the oven!!) as well as their made-to-order cakes, which are amazing!! Highly recommended & we love supporting locally owned & operated businesses & this one is definitely worth supporting!

The smashburgers were perfectly executed--juicy, flavorful, and layered with the kind of detail you can taste in every bite. The chicken wings had that ideal balance of crisp and tenderness, and the potato salad? Comforting, creamy, and done right. But the real standout for me was the cannoli pizza--creative, indulgent, and completely unforgettable. Beyond the food, what truly sets Pond Hill Farm apart is the experience. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and effortlessly charming--exactly what you want for a night out in Northern Michigan. As a fellow local business, I also deeply appreciate how supportive they are of the community. It means something--and it shows in everything they do. If you haven't been, go. And if you have, you already know.

Ordering can be a little confusing the first time, but it's easy once you know the process. Just head to either the indoor or outdoor bar to order both your food and drinks. They'll give you a buzzer, and when it's ready, you'll pick up your food from the window inside between the indoor and outdoor bars. We always order the pizza, it's so good and has really unique flavor combinations. Don't skip the featured salad, and definitely try the cider. The blueberry cider is my favorite! If you're bringing a dog, they're welcome in the outdoor seating area. There are two large tents with plenty of seating, lots of activities for kids (including farm animals), and a cute little shop inside where we always stock up on their dressings and grab a 4-pack of cider to take home. 10/10--couldn't recommend it more!

Breakers has a casual, sports bar setting. There are several television stations broadcasting. You…read morecan play Keno and chat with friendly folk. The main issue was that we were really hungry, having spent hours waiting on auto repair. The brisket tacos did not satisfy but to alleviate hunger. The flour tortillas were what my sister called 'raw'. They were not heated at all. The brisket meat was lukewarm warm. The cabbage slaw was raw. There was a dab of chunky plastic jar salsa already placed in the middle of each taco. Chips and salsa: the salsa was in a very small plastic thimble. We couldn't even fit a chip into the salsa. The best part about our dinner: the server asked if everything was good. I told her that it was definitely not my favorite EVER. The wonderful thing about this was that she asked me to explain. She did not show an animosity and was truly inquisitive about our dislike of the food. She said that she would tell 'him'. I am assuming that 'he' would be the cook. I appreciated her concern because the bill was about $40 and when my sister can't finish her meal that's a problem. It was about 430 and I hadn't eaten all day so I did finish mine but I couldn't say that I was not pleased with it. Although nothing was spoiled and it certainly could've been worse. I don't know if I could trust going back. I think that they could do a real light marinade on the cabbage to soften it a bit and if they fried the tortillas and maybe offered corn or tortilla in the beginning, it would be an improvement. Or how about if the salsa so called and in such a tiny vessel, it wasn't tasteless but clearly store-bought. Any restaurant should be able to do something with this information. I don't mean to be negative or demeaning, but I do intend to given an honest review based on my impression. Good luck Breakers. I was actually very happy to see that something was open during this flooding season. Unfortunately, I would've driven 50 miles further to have a better dinner.
