My daughter ate here with a friend a few weeks ago and asked that we take her as a family. My wife and I had eaten here maybe 20 years ago when we first got married, but have since moved further away and kind of forgotten about it. I was so glad my daughter suggested it because it was just as good as it ever was. I had the flat noodles with Chinese sausage and it was excellent. You know a meal is good when you get to the end of it and you're sad that there isn't more. My wife and daughters had the fried rice with chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion size were quite large so They said they will be having it for lunch tomorrow. The two women who were working were super friendly and so helpful whenever we had a question. It's a very small and the ambience is very relaxing. The service was very quick. There was just one lady in the front and I believe one cook in the back. She was very attentive. The food came out quickly. It was amazing! The best wonton soup I believe I have ever had. The dumpling soup was incredible. I have never had either soup from any other place that tasted so flavorful. The noodles were fresh as well. Wherever they got them from..perfection. Café Oasis is located in the Asian District, upstairs next to the market. To get there, you walk down a hallway and through a stairwell area that, unfortunately, isn't very clean. At first, it gave me the impression that the restaurant might not be great. However, once inside, I was pleasantly surprised--the interior was clean, and the service was excellent. The person who helped me was very attentive. I ordered the pork chops with rice and broccoli, which came with egg drop soup, and I ordered an egg roll. Everything was fresh and tasted pretty good. While the ingredients were fresh, the way the dishes were put together could have been better--it didn't quite elevate the flavors to something extraordinary. Found this place on yelp. It's a little hard to find. You need to enter a separate entrance to the right of the big asian supermarket. Once you go past the doors and one restaurant, you will see a doorway on the right leading to a stairway. Cafe oasis will be found on the second level overlooking the hallway. We came here late afternoon on a chilly day, looking for drinks. We got a chai latte, mango drink, chysanthemum tea. I love asian snacks so I got an order of fried tofu.. HMMMM. It came out piping hot and had a great dipping sauce. They have other dishes there as well and looked pretty authentic. Cafe oasis is located in this poorly designed complex belonging to Cao Nguyên Supermarket. It's literally hidden upstairs in this attachment that no one goes to. The entrance is facing away from the street and toward the side of the supermarket. Unless you search for it otherwise you won't even know it even exists in the first place. No entrance access from the street makes it even more hidden. When I walked in the complex, I heard a male voice from above saying "Hello there. We're upstairs." I thought it was an automated machine but turned out it's the owner of Cafe Oasis. My friend told me that it's busy on the weekdays but I came during Sunday lunchtime and wasn't busy at all. It may benefit from additional support to make Asian district as diverse as possible. About the food, their food is good but I feel the portion size is rather small. I was not full afterward. The price for their entrees is average. However, the hot tea costs a little high, $4.95 each, when compared to other restaurants nearby. It's just a teabag in hot water and in a cup which does not justify that price. That's teapioca lounge price. I am happy about the complimentary soup though. Same parking lot and building as Super Cao Nguyen. It's upstairs which is a dirty old staircase. Inside it looks decorated with knock off Pier One /IKEA type stuff. Cheap decor but someone tried. The service was good enough I suppose. If the food was outstanding it would make up for the rest. Alas, it was not. Their complimentary egg drop soup was low quality and barely warm. Cream cheese wontons were decent but you should have gotten twice that amount for the price. Egg roll was average. Edamame was typical store bought and boiled. General Tso's chicken was the best thing I tried but not worth going back for. Wife got wonton soup that was actually terrible. Broth was gross and the wontons were so overcooked they were mushy and falling apart. The green tea tasted like Pledge cleaning product, probably the ginger. If you're a legitimate foodie, don't waste your money or time. read more

The steamed dumplings either could have been stuffed with more pork or steamed a little less because the dumpling part was droopy and fell apart. The flat noodles with Chinese sausage was amazing! Rich flavor and perfect texture. I would definitely order it again. Lastly the taro slush was tasty. Just the right amount of boba and it wasn't too sweet. The server was polite and welcoming. She was attentive and I appreciated her answering my questions about the menu. I ate a late lunch, 2pm on Thursday. I was the only one dining in, though there were a few customers who ordered boba teas to go. I liked the decore and art on the walls. Plenty of tables and chairs. Excellent boba tea place in OKC (right next to the Super Cao Asian grocery store) that has one great advantage over some of the local chains: they actually offer food (primarily Chinese food), in addition to a nice selection of sweets/desserts. Relaxing spacious interior as well. I ordered their sesame balls and I believe a banana milk tea drink along with their macaroons, all of which were great. I ordered a passion fruit green tea with boba. To me, the boba was on the cusp of just being done, and I didn't really taste the tea, just the passion fruit flavoring/sweetener. To be fair, I've had a lot of boba in my lifetime, and I can be more on the picky side. I prefer boba that has a greater emphasis on the tea and less on the artificial additions and flavorings. However, my friends seemed to all like their drinks, and they also mentioned that the food there has been great in the past, which I didn't get to try. I haven't tried the boba teas here yet, my husband is the boba fan. But some of the Chinese food here is good and prices inexpensive. I say "some" because menu is hit and miss. We enjoyed their General Tso's chicken -- crunchy, fresh, sauce caramelized and delicious, breading not soggy or greasy. But they didn't offer side options over the phone, and it came with a dry and highly disappointing white rice. Octopus balls (takoyaki) were too greasy on the outside and had too little dressings imo. Flat noodles lacked a bit on flavor, but chicken was cooked right. I had to add soy sauce for a more seasoned flavor. Girl taking my order recommended it with out the scrambled egg sauce, I regretted not adding it. PLUS...We didn't even ask for chicken. We ordered it with beef. They say it was a simple mistake but they didn't comp or offer refund. Just to replace it, but we had already waited nearly a half hour for our food and did not care to wait longer. I read beef is an upcharge so it may have had something to do with that. As for the long wait time, they have a deserved reputation for being slow. Lastly, waters came room temp. No soup included (dine-in only?) Service was friendly but not very knowledgeable over the phone, which led to the above issues. So, expect a range of quality. But at least there is one gem on the menu. The food is great. The blonde guy behind the counter is too serious, maybe too stressed everytime we go there and it reflects on his service which deters us from returning often. He charged us full price on a meal that wasnt picked up by another as we walked in near closing and the meal tasted like it was prepared hours before. Nicely decorated though. read more
