The breakfast food was delicious, there's also fresh donuts to try out. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance casual. A old school breakfast spot with delicious home cooked food. I'll definitely come again.

Went for a late breakfast with a friend and we were not disappointed by our meal. It was a little busy in there on the day we went, but the service was still quick and friendly. I got the number three breakfast special which came with eggs, sausage home fries, and toast. And they had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Really enjoyed the meal a lot and I've been back since to also try the patty melt, which is delicious! Dining im can be a little busy and even with call in orders sometimes it might be a wait but it's totally worth it and looking forward to dining here again to enjoy the patio when the weather is nicer out.

This cozy cafe sits on the corner of hertel and serves up authentic American cuisine. We stopped in for a late breakfast, which they serve all day. Their outside patio was waiting for us. We started with one of their homemade donuts. These were delicious, they were heavy and cake like compared to other donuts. I tried their breakfast quesadilla, which was a decent price and a large size big enough for 2 people. Meat was extra, along with an upcharge automatically added to you bill for any item you had that contained eggs. The decent priced quesadilla increased quite a bit! I also sampled their French toast special, it was tasty, nothing stellar tho. The coffee was great and the service was too. The server was super friendly and was eager to make recommendations as we navigated through the menu. All and all it was good. If your looking for your basic American cuisine with a relaxing vibe as you people watch, give this place a try.

Great service and great food. What more could you ask for? Our new favorite breakfast place in Buffalo!

I've been meaning to try cafe on the avenue for breakfast for a while now, and it was so worth the visit! I got the biscuits and gravy which was the special, and it was probably one of the best things I've ever had, genuinely. It's a cute little spot tucked away, perfect for a cozy breakfast/lunch. Patio is covered and looked nice, but we sat inside. The service was great and the waitress was such a sweetheart, she really added to the whole thing. I'd recommend this place a thousand times, so excited to go back!!!

Open for breakfast, they have homemade donuts and sit-down or to-go meals. Nothing terribly fancy. Everything you would expect from a neighborhood cafe including coffee, of course. I came for lunch and had delicious bean soup and a very traditional turkey bacon club sandwich. Service is excellent. There's a nice warm fireplace if you go on a chilly day. Accessible on both metro bus #23 Hertel and #11 Colvin. This restaurant would be somewhat challenging in a wheelchair, but at least there's no stairs.

Great little breakfast spot. Went around 930 on a Saturday and didn't have to wait- sat right outside. Quick service. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwich the most.

What a nice, surprising treat! This place is cozy! The service was excellent! I had the breakfast burrito and the bride had the breakfast sandwich! Both were excellent! Her sandwich was on a Costanzo's roll and she loved it! My burrito was filled great stuff and was accompanied by home fries that were crispy!

Decent food, good portions. One of my preferred Buffalo diners. Staff is okay, could be a little friendlier.

Food was decent. Air Conditioning was lacking. Hot Chocolate was thin and watery. Service was friendly but forgetful and slow.

Fresh donuts and friendly service on Hertel just past Colvin. The kids love it and it's conveniently located for us.

The vibe is cozy but elevated: natural light, warm tones, the kind of space where you can journal, edit photos, or have a soft life catch-up with a friend. Let's talk orders: Rose Matcha -- This is the drink. Lightly floral, perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and somehow both calming and energizing. It feels grounding without being gimmicky. I may have even gotten my boyfriend hooked to matcha off of this drink alone Cupid's Latte -- Seasonal but unforgettable. It's sweet without being cloying and tastes like a cozy little love letter in a cup. The kind of drink that makes you romanticize your entire day. Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakkie Sandwich -- Absolute classic done right. The sausage is flavorful, the egg is cooked perfectly, and everything melts together in that satisfying, messy-in-the-best-way breakfast sandwich experience. It hits every time. Chocolate Muffins (and baked goods in general) -- Soft, rich, bakery-level good. Not dry. Not overly sweet. Just the right indulgence to pair with coffee while pretending you're being productive. What I love most is that nothing feels mass-produced. It feels intentional. The staff is always kind and efficient, even when it's busy, and the quality is consistent. Jam Parkside isn't just a coffee shop, it's a ritual. A reset button. A soft, delicious pause in the middle of a chaotic week. If you see me there with a rose matcha and a breakfast sandwich, mind your business. I'm thriving

The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and effortlessly cool, the kind of place that makes you want to linger for hours with a good book and a great cup of coffee. My fiancé and I each ordered one of their specialty coffees along with bagels, and everything was fantastic. After a less than stellar experience at Tim Hortons earlier in the trip, Seven Hearts completely redeemed our coffee expectations. It was exactly the aesthetic and experience I had been searching for. What really made it special was how quickly it felt like a place I could make part of my routine. If I lived in Buffalo, this would absolutely be my go to coffee shop. Before leaving, I picked up a couple of honey sticks and a bottle of their house made lavender syrup to bring home. Now I get to enjoy a little taste of Seven Hearts, and Buffalo, with my morning coffee for a few more days.

Stopped in here to kill time before an appointment after seeing the high ratings, but unfortunately…read morethe experience didn't live up to them. Most of my rating is based on the service. Upon entering, no one greeted me, and I felt rushed while looking over the menu. When I asked questions, it felt like I was inconveniencing the employee rather than being helped. I ordered the blueberry lemon bar matcha and hoped the drink would redeem the experience, but it was disappointing. The flavor combination didn't work well in a matcha drink, and it left a strange aftertaste/coating in my mouth. I also specifically requested no dairy (asked for oat milk) yet it still came topped with cold foam, which upset my stomach. It looked cute, but for nearly $9, it wasn't enjoyable. I had originally planned to order food as well, but the overall atmosphere and interaction felt so uncomfortable that I decided to just take my drink and leave.

I was thrilled to finally make to it Cafe Bewilderment for lunch yesterday. First and foremost, the Monocle Building itself is stunning with immaculate vibes. Once we found Cafe Bewilderment, I was, in fact, bewildered. It's beautiful, it's wild, and it's a place I already know I'll want to return to again and again. The setup is simple: order at the counter, grab your table marker (a very tiny tree stump - how fun is that?), and your food is brought out to you. All of the employees were friendly and the gentleman at the register helped me decide between the Lox Sandwich and the Hot Honey Burrata. He recommended the lox so I went with that. The Lox Sandwich was more of a lox toast than a sandwich, but whatever it was delicious and surprisingly filling. My mom ordered the Bewild BLT and ended up taking half of it home, so I'd say hers was also filling. To drink, I ordered a hot latte with lavender and cardamom. It was so, so good, and the presentation was chef's kiss. Honestly, though, the decor is mesmerizing. Everywhere you look there's something interesting to admire - even the bathroom. I really, really, really want to come back to try more of the menu as well as their cocktails. Something tells me Cafe Bewilderment is just as magical in the evening as it is during the day!!!
