Cafe Osita has become a cute little neighborhood staple.vThey have a small selection of locally baked goods, including gluten free options, dog treats for the fur babies, and small snacks for the human babies. Hours are posted but sometimes seem to be hit or miss without much notification on whether or not they are closed/open. Coffee is a little bit too bitter for my liking, but I love coming here with my daughter and dog for the service and ambiance. It's a great little stop on the way to our playground! read more

This place is the BEST. Run by the owners themselves, this cafe feels like a little slice of 90's Seattle heaven. The coffee is always excellent, and the breakfast sandwiches are fantastic!!!! Make sure you try their homemade hot sauce! As someone who grew up in Seattle with a love for small coffee shops, this place hits the nail on the head. SO much to love about this place! To start, the coffee is fantastic! I've been drinking coffee all over Seattle and this place is at the top of my list! And there's so much more! Some great breakfast and lunch options (esp the chicken salad, yum!). And lots of super tasty baked goods. Cafe Osita is a hidden gem, the store is tiny and easy to miss. Inside you will find a coffee lovers dream, the espresso is smooth and drinks well made. Soup is made from scratch and changes daily. Paninis are fresh and delicious, I had the vegetarian caprese, it was warm, gooey and crunchy all at once. They also offer an assortment of delicious looking pastries and snacks. Updating my review! It's 2019 and this is still the BEST cafe in West Seattle! The food is all fresh, made to order, the coffee is delish and prices are just right! The owner Andrea, knows every costumer and makes you feel right at home. I've been coming here for YEARS! And even now that I live across the water, every day I come into town for work, I hit Osita! I get a no meat breakfast Sammie or the tuna! My hubby gets any of the extraordinary sandwiches but get ma it with SAUCE! Ohhh yess Andrea has the best HOT SAUCE and can make any good item spicy for ya! Homemade soups, pastries for your sweet tooth and a fridge of extras like juice, yogurt and more! I LOVE this joint. It is a must hit when I am traveling (especially southbound) on 35th in the Westside. The coffee is good, but the service is fantastic! I've never felt so shamed as a mother than when I visited this place... I live in the neighborhood and stopped in to get a coffee and treats for the kids. We sat down and had an accidental milk spill. I apologized and asked for a rag to clean the milk and thanked the owner for the help but could tell the owner was very annoyed who then asked my giggling children, who were enjoying the frog cookies we purchased, to sit quietly. I promise their laughs were no louder than an adult and muffled by the loud espresso machine. I apologized to the patrons sitting next to me who assured me that we weren't bothering them. The coffee is great here... but sadly this place is not a real community building place. read more

Never stray away from anything that is tried and true and you know you love! Today I threw away my hazelnut latte from Bird on a Wire and headed down to Cafe Osita. Not only was it not as tasty as the delicious ones at Cafe Osita, but it was tainted with rudeness from the person making it. If I'm paying $5 for a coffee, the least you can do is smile when you hand it to me. I've only been here 3 times, but each time the barista smiles (regardless of who it is working there) and makes me feel welcome to be there. I've chatted with them about randomness every time, even after they're done making my coffee (which is the best hazelnut latte I've EVER had!) All it takes is one great experience.Now I'm hooked and can say I will be a regular for a good long time. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Always happy with Cafe Osita! Superb vanilla latte and just tried the sausage breakfast Sammie for the first time - I'm hooked! Incredibly fresh, soft focaccia and a little hot sauce for kick. The proportions are just right. And have to mention the outstanding customer service. I left with a smile because they sincerely care about each and every customer. They chat with customers as though they are old friends (who knows, they might be, but had me fooled). I'd only been in once before but I felt so welcome, like I'd been there a thousand times. What they said (previous reviewers) ! Andrea and her staff are top notch baristas and friendly to boot! I absolutely love their coffee/espresso - these folks make a great drink with great flavor. The shop (though a quaint cafe size, yes it is small) is nice and cozy enough that you want to stick around to enjoy your drink; the rotating art is nice too. I only refrain from a five star since: * No hours of operation posted anywhere on the cafe door/window * Closed when I am on my way to work (no coffee before 7AM) :( * Closed at or before 5PM Sadly, I rarely get to enjoy a coffee there, due to my work schedule & their hours of operation. I'd love to be a regular someday, maybe they will consider opening earlier, to make customers of morning commuters and bus riders such as myself. Until then, I sadly spend my coffee $ at other places that ARE open. I do hope their business does well; there wasn't a good coffee place nearby until Cafe Osita came along. Small town cafe shop in growing West Seattle! When I found Cafe' Osita off the Avenue years and years ago, I U-turned so I could try it. Instantly there was a connection... It is my staple coffee shop! I just love that they know my name and my drink, they take interest in our life and our son's life. Our family loves the "Sammies" I prefer the meatless with arugula where the guys like the ham and sausage. I love their coffee beans which I typically purchase a pounder as well as my Americano! My absolute favorite is the Tuna Sandwich with caramelized onions and a pickle, YUMMY!!! Thank you Cafe' Osita for suburb costumer service and offered menu. Such a cute, locally owned coffee shop. I got a Naranjo, which is a mocha with dark chocolate and some orange zest. I don't like sweet coffee so I appreciated the flavors without the sugary-ness, it was perfect. Just like other reviews say, the people working there are really nice and welcoming. They don't have WiFi and limited sitting space. I think this is a nice place to stop for coffee with a friend or read a bit. They do have a small sign that says to limit sitting for 30 minutes to give other customers a chance, so keep that in mind. Still, I wasn't planning to do work when I went in, just waiting for a friend so it was fine for me. Overall, good place to stop by for a cup of coffee! read more

I only started going to Cafe Osita recently when my dryer broke so that I could use the laundromat next door, but now I'll be a regular at this gem of a spot! The chai tea is so good and they always offer me fresh ground nutmeg on top. The breakfast sandwich is SO GOOD as well. The best part by far, however, is the people. They are so kind, friendly, and just generally lovely to interact with. They are always offering a fresh baked something or other to taste at the counter (once a biscuit, another time a cookie) which just adds to the charm. It's a tiny, cozy spot. I live in white center but will for sure be coming out to Cafe Osita for many days to come. Bonus: They play great music - today was the first nickel creek album (one of my favorites). read more
