I got a hot hazelnut latte with banana syrup and my partner got one of the blackberry oat latte specials. We both thought our drinks were next level and we drink a lot of coffee. We had 3 pastries between us and they were all soo good especially the blackberry scone and the mixed berry galette. The staff were all very affable and efficient - the store was very busy being a Saturday morning, but we went through the whole process in under 10 minutes. We checked out the little back courtyard patio area and just soaked up the cozy neighborhood vibe. There was an amazing little gallery next door that I wanted to check out but we had to hit the road and couldn't wait till it opened. Ultimately, the assembly line model helped the line move quickly, allowed for more personable interactions, and the coffee beans that they use was so delicious that I'm ordering some for delivery when I get home. Came to this location of Fresh Flours on our last day in Seattle with the promise of parking and we scored a spot right in front. It was so neat to see everyone baking in the back and to select a coffee and fresh pastry from their display. I opted for a ham and cheese croissant and their special coconut cloud cold brew. The croissant was interesting since it used cheddar cheese rather than Swiss and the coconut cloud was just okay. The best pastry that we shared was the kouign amann. While we've loved fresh flours over the years, the past handful visits over the last two months have been a drastic decline in quality and service. Today's online order was two absolutely disgusting iced coffees that after 2 sips we had to toss them. It tasted as if the baristas did not dial in the coffee and this is not the first time that's happened. On prior occasions half our food order has been missing. I absolutely adore this bakery. My girlfriend and I come every Friday morning after our gym workout. Our favorite items are the Mushroom Sausage Pithivier and the ham and cheese croissant. Sadly for us not the bakery, we have missed out on the savory for a few weeks because they run out really fast. My only ask is if they can make more savory. We will now order the morning of and pick up to enjoy at the bakery as a work around. I do appreciate all of the bakers getting up at 2am to make these awesome treats. This is a neighborhood gem that is putting out fresh baked pastries and legit great coffee. As soon as you walk in the staff greet patrons and take your coffee order asking about your tastes in coffee and are patient about explaining the available pastries that just came out. The espresso shot (dopio) is a good starter to the Seattle coffee experience. Any time I'm visiting this beautiful and bustling green city I try to go to local businesses. This shot, paired with the mocha latte with 2 extra shots (quad) beats the generic Starbucks by TKO. The staff are friendly and they bake all goods in plain view and straight up the place smells like what a Seattle local cafe should smell to provide the ambiance to crack open a book in the corner. This place has an open kitchen and makes their pastries in house. The pastries are about $5 each which is not cheap, but it is fresh and house made! Last time I tried the matcha muffin and the chocolate short bread. They were both very yummy. Matcha muffin was my favorite. I can taste the matcha and it was not overpowering, not too sweet too. This time I tried the pecan currant croissant and the hazelnut coffee cake. The pecan currant croissant was really very sweet... too sweet for me. Love Fresh Flours, however I WILL NOT RETURN HERE. Today I brought my dog to the order counter as I have been doing for years. I buy at the counter and then take doggie to the back patio (they're not allowed at indoor tables). The staff member told me I couldn't bring her again. I mentioned I'd been coming for years, and asked how I could get my dog and my purchase to the patio without coming inside. She said I should go through the alley, tie up my dog, then come inside to purchase. I would never do that for several reasons. I'm not clear why the behavior around dogs has changed, but as wonderful as Fresh Flours pastries and staffers are, I love my dog more than I love you, and won't be back. I also realize Fresh Flours doesn't care if I return or not, but I hope they firm up their dog policy for other dog parent customers. read more

This cafe is so cute! If you need a cute study spot with yummy pastries and good drinks, come through to this local spot! I love Fresh Flours, it's such a great little spot. I love to study here, I love to catch up with friends here, and it is in white center so there's back-in angle spots to park. They have a simple menu, but lots of syrups and stuff, so don't be afraid to ask for something niche--especially since the people who work here are so nice! I got an oat lavender latte and it was delicious, and definitely was a good caffeine fix for the day. Yummy yummy - I do wish it was a little more lavender-y but that's my personal preference and maybe my tongue is messed up. They've also recently added some outdoor seating in like the "backyard" area. I didn't go outside because it wasn't quite warm enough for me, but can't wait to be here in the summer! Came by again and 5-star-experience one again! My dog and I came here on our walk today and we both had a great time. I wasn't sure if she was allowed on the floor but for everyone's comfort, I carried her and the employees didn't mind at all. TLDR: off-putting bugs. average pastries. First and foremost. The flies hovering about in the lobby area just in front of the registers is very off-putting---especially when considering the fact that all the pastries are just sitting out in the open. Upon closer inspection, I saw small gnats frolicking about on the pastries behind the human spit shield. Green Tea Adzuki Bean Muffin: hearty and dense. The matcha flavor wasn't too overpowering and it was very filling. The red bean inside added a nice texture and flavor. Fresh Flours offers the standard selection of coffee drinks and their pastries range from muffins, croissants, cookies, coffee and basque cake to food items like hand sized burritos and sandwiches. I stopped by for a quick breakfast and loved the sausage mushroom pithivier - reminded me of a pate chaud but breakfast version. The ham and cheese croissant was flakey and crispy, also a great choice. I wanted to get something sweet too but couldn't choose so my partner got a peach danish to split. They have pretty unique things like the double baked croissant, matcha muffin, and an azuki croissant. I'd def come back to get other pastries next time! I enjoyed my latte and felt it came out quickly. Customer service was patient while trying to make our selections and offered to warm up the pastries, which I really appreciate since I wanted to eat in the car haha. Just alright--some of the pastries are a hit or miss. I really like the coffee cake but I didn't like the banana bread (was a bit too dry for me). Coffee drinks are pretty standard, although yesterday I tried their seasonal maple spice latte and I didn't taste much of the spice; just tasted like a generic sweet latte. We also used to love their breakfast tacos but last time we got them they weren't as good as a year ago. Also FYI they are no longer dog-friendly inside the cafe, only on the patio. This DOG FRIENDLY (!!!) spot has become my favorite place to pop in for fresh baked pastries and amazing coffee beverages. The vibe is super chill, offering counter service only. They have all of their pastries on display and there is also a selection of a few other refrigerated items if you wanted to forego a tasty bready treat for possibly an Ellenos yogurt cup or a prerolled burrito (which I assume they'd heat up for you upon request). There are only a few cafe tables inside but they make the most of the space they have. There are some bar stools in the window, some cafe tables on the side walk in front of the entrance, and there is also an adorable side patio area attached on the side which feels like a secret garden that has picnic tables and is surrounded by plants. The bakery is exposed in the back and I kind of think there's something exciting and cool to see a few people working diligently to make these fine pastries while you're waiting for your coffee to be prepared. Near the bathroom and coffee pick up spot, you'll find a bulletin board for various community outreach flyers which sort of speaks to the culture of community of this cafe. The staff is extremely kind and helpful... and didn't flinch when I told them that I wanted to order my husband a coffee who likes caramel macchiatos from Starbucks... they suggested a caramel vanilla latte and husband loved it!!! Fresh Flours is located on a small strip in/near White Center where a few other unique businesses reside. I had stopped by another local bakery to get pasteries for a social Brunch hang, but they hadn't had savory options, so I popped over to Fresh Flours to see what they had. I was not disappointed. I didn't get any coffee so I can't speak to that (but I saw that everyone had brought their own cup or mug, so I assume there's a reusable cup discount), but the pastry case was packed with both sweet and savory. I saw vegan options as well. I grabbed a Savory Scone with mostly ham and onions, as well as a swiss cheese and caramelized onion croissant. My partner wasn't feeling well, so I grabbed him one of his favorite things, a Chocolate Croissant. Even if you aren't eating it there, ask for the Chocolate Croissant to be warned up a bit. It's fantastic, but if it isn't warmed up it's just chocolate sticks. The savory treats were scrumptious and I highly recommend both of them for any quick and easy brunch snack. read more

Wonderful service and amazing pastries! A coworker had brought some in one day I happened to grab the red bean croissant and I decided that I wanted to visit the bakery myself! I got the ham and cheese croissant, Kouign-Amann, chocolate croissant, and the strawberry rhubarb galette my first time there. The ham and cheese croissant was so soft, so savory, so delicious! My friend who normally doesn't gravitate to croissants really loves this! The strawberry rhubarb galette tart was not too sweet, you can taste both the strawberry and the rhubarb and the pastry was flaky! The Kouign-Amann was so soft and the crust was perfectly crunchy, and slightly sweet despite being covered in sugar. The chocolate croissant is everything you expect it to be, soft and chocolatey, just delicious! My second time I decided to try a Sausage Mushroom Pithivier and a Basque Cake. I cannot stop thinking about the Pithivier! So savory, you can taste the flavorful sausage and the mushrooms and the crust was so buttery and flaky! The Basque cake was just delightful. Wanted to branch out from my regular Bakery Nouveau croissants and try the ones here, and I'm glad to say, I wasn't disappointed! I actually liked these ones a bit more because I didn't feel sick or overwhelmed after eating all of it in one sitting (not ashamed to admit this). I will say, there isn't much difference between the regular and chocolate twice backed almond croissant (except a crumb of chocolate inside) so order either one of their supply is low. One of my favorite bakeries in Seattle for savory treats. Buttery, shattering ham & cheese croissant? Yes please! Ham and cheese biscuits, sausage pithivier, spinach & caramelized onion croissants croissant...all delicious. Fresh Flours also knows how to do a scone, which means a crunchy exterior. If you happen to watch "Curb Your Enthusiasm", you will know what I mean when I take issue with a "muffin scone." Thankfully no muffin scones at Fresh Flours! They also do great coffee and a silly little drink I happen to like called Chagaccino (yes, a mushroom drink). Breakfast tacos and other non-pastry items round out Fresh Flours offerings.
