That was enough for us to give it a try and we're glad we did. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile, which immediately makes you feel comfortable. As soon as we sat down, a bottle of chilled water was brought to the table, a small but thoughtful touch that we appreciated. Service was very efficient. Our order was taken quickly, and the food came out at lightning speed. The waffle was light and fluffy, the fruit cup was fresh and naturally sweet, and the spinach omelet was absolutely delicious. One of the standout items was the homemade blueberry jam, it was truly out of this world and paired perfectly with the meal. Another feature we liked was the unlimited coffee bar. For $5 you can enjoy three different coffee flavors and even take a cup to go, which is a great deal for coffee lovers. We also learned that many of their pastries and treats are made fresh every morning, which explains the quality. Parking is easy with plenty of free spaces available, making the visit even more convenient. After finishing our meal, we learned that the business was sold about two years ago and is no longer family owned. Café Pato is so delicious and fresh. I feel really good about the food that I eat here. The service is always great too-- especially when you sit at the bar. It's clean bright and never too loud. I had one of their seasonal items I believe; which was the lemon, vanilla ricotta, waffle that came fruit, added the bacon. This waffle was a 12 out of 10.. exceeded my expectations. I am easily swayed by photos of delicious food. I saw a photo of the cinnamon sugar scone on Cafe Patachou's Instagram feed, and I immediately put "Get scone at Cafe Patachou" on my list of things to do. I'm not even kidding. (This Type A+ overachiever doesn't lie about her precious to-do list.) Anyway, the reason why the scone went on my list is because the photo caption said that the scone was flavored with Cafe Patachou's famous cinnamon toast blend. This restaurant's cinnamon toast is some of my favorite food in Indiana, so it was obvious that I needed to get one of these scones ASAP. Straight out of the bakery case, the scone was fine. My scone was a little cold, and a cold scone is a scone that should be scorned. However, if you heat the scone up a bit, it becomes 100 times better. I ate half of my scone cold, then put the other half on my car's dashboard on a 95-degree day while I went shopping at nearby Old Navy for half an hour. When I came back to finish my scone, it was the perfect warm temperature and tasted even better. Who knew that a dashboard-heated scone would taste so good? The sun and the passage of time is awesome. When I visited on a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was bustling with people. I'm pretty sure every table inside was occupied, and a few of the tables on the outdoor patio were occupied, too. This is the basic white girl Bonefish vibe but brunch! Well lite enjoyable space, outdoor seating, a lot of variety make for easy eating. Prices and portion sizes have a complicated relationship. I somehow blew into thirty bucks for a Bloody Mary and Cuban Breakfast, both tasty but the cocktail was ninety percent ice and the bowl of egg, avocado, and tasty goodness a diet size. My friend and I enjoyed this location's easy going atmosphere, a lot of dining tables while being relaxing, staff seemed to be attentive for our stay, and coffee was addictive. The menu is massive, parking easy on site, and Keystone Fashion Mall nextdoor compliments the overall posh appeal. I personally go for The Garden Table first in Indy's morning eateries but both our daily grind put this cafe as the best meeting spot and emptying my wallet for a full enough belly makes a good Friday. read more

We are moving to the area, and our realtor suggested this place. I'm vegetarian, and my partner- she is vegan. This a great spot for plant-based people. They have vegan/vegetarian options, and many can be made veggie friendly. We had the Phat Rabbit sandwich and the Vegan Omelette. I also ordered a small side of fresh fruit. Quality has obviously shifted since the sell off of the Patachou Group. We've ordered Chicken Salad Patachou twice and received a product of lesser quality chicken that has been mixed up to a paste vs chunk chicken. The bacon in the salad was rare to find and of lesser quality. No muffins now a sad single piece of cinnamon toast. Lentil soup discontinued. Consistency is off. A friend and I ate a Petit Chou a few months ago. Gave the waitstaff my tarragon allergy. Plate came out without a Swiss flag. Became ill after consuming my entree. It had tarragon in it. I was able to get home and take rescue medication. The entree item did not indicate this ingredient on the menu. I did follow up with an email. They assured me they would educate the chef. Since 1989 never had this occur. This would not have occurred on Hoover's watch. Sadly what was a 2-4 times a week breakfast or lunch is now why bother. This is so disappointing to see an established restaurant group go downhill so quickly. New diners will never know the high end fresh quality of what once was what this group was known for. I feel for the dedicated lovely waitstaff that had been working there for years. They know the quality isn't what it once was. Located in the strip mall next to the Fashion Mall this place is always packed. There is parking all around but you will often have to wait for a table. I never get to this place anymore because my hubs doesn't care for it. He says the value for the quantity is not good. I now agree with him. I'm not saying everything wasn't tasty but I'm super sad that the cinnamon toast isn't a bread option any longer. On the way there I was dreaming of the dark brown slather of cinnamon sugar that I would never do at home because I'd see how much butter and sugar was going into what I was eating...I don't know when they changed the menu but the toast is stand alone and is 5 bucks now. I got an end piece and it was hard and not dark brown from memory. The temperature may have been because they were holding onto it because they got hub's sandwich wrong. We waited a long time for our food and the waitress came to apologize that they made the sandwich on the wrong bread and were fixing it. I couldn't decide what I wanted so I ordered sides. Big mistake. As the photos show, not too much food. With tip and tax the bill was over 45 dollars! We both had water. I am torn between star ratings but I was unimpressed this time. read more
