This place is always packed. I'd recommend making reservations in advance. The chicken is so delicious! It's seasoned well and juicy. We also had the biscuits with blueberry jam with butter for an appetizer. Our waiter said it was popular and I can see why. The place itself is really cute and charming. I'd comeback for that chicken and waffles. Also the pricing is not bad at all.

I love this place! I went here again recently for my birthday and it was a fantastic experience. My waitress was new and she was wonderful. We did the new deal for the summer that two for $22 and the mimosa special. It was delicious as always. I love the spicy chicken and waffles. And those scrumptious Parmesan rosemary potatoes. This is such a great place to bring the family. It's always beautiful inside, and outside with the southern decor charm. The bathrooms are single stalled. They have a great photo opportunity at the entrance. Street parking is available on South Street or there's a nearby parking garage that you have to.

My experience at Tupelo Honey was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish, and the biggest reason was our server, Tiffany. She delivered one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Tiffany was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind from the moment she introduced herself. She anticipated everything we needed before we even had to ask, kept our drinks filled, made excellent menu recommendations, and checked on us at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed. Her professionalism, positive attitude, and warm personality completely elevated the meal. The food was delicious, but Tiffany's service is what made this visit unforgettable. It's rare to come across someone who clearly takes so much pride in making every guest feel valued. She turned what would have been a great meal into an exceptional experience. If you're dining at Tupelo Honey, do yourself a favor and ask for Tiffany. She sets the standard for what outstanding customer service should look like. I'll definitely be coming back, and a huge part of that is because of her. Thank you, Tiffany, for making our visit so memorable!

Our work group stopped in here for lunch. Our server was great for the unexpected table of 7! He was quick on his feet and very knowledgeable on the menu. I got the (non alcoholic) bees knees and it was a fun summer drink perfect for lunch. The fried chicken with their signature honey dust was delicious! You can't skip on the biscuits either :)

Came here brunch with my kids. We got the biscuits, waffles, veggie sandwich, and fried green tomatoes. When I had asked if the fried items were fried with meat products, since we are picky vegetarians, they made sure it was fried separately. I really appreciate that. We all enjoyed our meals. Our server was wonderful and she was very nice. Nice, open restaurant. Will come back again.

This is my first time passing by this restaurant since moving out of the city, and I'm so glad we stopped. The food was outstanding and looked as good as it tasted. The drinks we ordered were equally satisfying. For starters we ordered the fried pickles, which honestly may have been my favorite ever! And then for our meal we ordered the sweet and spicy chicken and waffles and classic chicken and waffles. Arianna (sp?) our server was super sweet and efficient. She was one of two servers (it seemed based off presence) in the place so it did take a bit for our orders to be taken and to receive everything it she made sure we were taken care of! There are many seating options from tables of two to a group of 20. The prices were reasonable, the ambiance is casual and hip. Will definitely consider going back!

Tupelo Honey is a fantastic date night spot with solid food and a fantastic vibe! Tried it out for the first time for a Valentine's date last week. Its fresh and fun atmosphere was a welcomed contrast to the cold and dank weather. We got a reservation ahead of time so we were able to sit right away. Our waitress was pleasant, but transparent of the fact that she was new and hadn't tried many things on the menu yet. No worries...I'm never afraid to explore a menu! Lol! We knew we wanted to start off with the fried green tomatoes, and they were fantastic. The fry on them was perfect, not too greasy. The tomatoes were fresh, and it was all laid over a soft velvety bed of grits. For the entrée, I went with the shrimp and grits while my wife ordered the chicken and waffles. While I thought the grits were a little soupy for me, all the flavors were there and I was not disappointed. Wife loved the chicken waffles. Great flavor on the chicken! I also ordered one biscuit on the side with the peach jam for a little something sweet. Not gonna lie, I wanted to drink that peach jam! The only bummer of the night is that we ordered the signature margarita and mule and both were pretty weak. Not sure if the bartender was just having an off night, but it was what it was. Overall great spot and I can't wait to come as the weather improves to enjoy some of their outdoor seating!

Second visit to Tupelo Honey on Mother's Day and I had brunch my way. Ordered the chicken and waffles once again, but this time paid a little extra for the bone in chicken verses the strips. The bone in chicken was much flavorful and juicy and came with two sides. Meal was super good, service was great!

I've been twice now - both times with a three year old and they've been very patient and attentive. Bless their hearts. Excellent food. I really like their fried okra - no, it isn't hard to mess up, but most don't get the seasoning AND texture perfect. They do it well for me here. I've tried both the original and spicy chicken and waffles. Now, I do like a little spice, but the spicy was a bit much for me. The original (shown in photo) is my pick for flavor and texture. The spicy was too spicy for me to enjoy it the 2nd time around. Overall, great staff. Very cute location with plenty of natural light and seating. Clean bathrooms. I'll be back!

This is my third time eating at Tupelo Honey and it might just be a comfort food for me at this point but isn't that what all soul food is? I always get the chicken and waffles and brussel sprouts. The chicken was very flavorful, not too spicy, not too sweet and the waffle was soft as well. The Brussels were cooked to my liking but I wish there was something additional to them, maybe honey but they are still delicious! I ordered a new coffee and enjoyed that as well. The sever was very nice and attentive too our table even though there wasn't too many people in the restaurant and the place was clean! If you're in the area, Tupelo is always a great place to eat at!

Came here for brunch and loved how big and bright the restaurant is. I ordered a chicken sandwich and a side of soup. The sandwich was pretty good, and the soup was amazing! Prices are reasonable and the service was great. Would recommend!

We came to get a small bite to eat. I tried the green fried tomatoes and a caesar salad both were good. Bf had chicken tenders these were over cooked and didn't taste well. He did say the sauces weren't bad. I'd come back to try a few more things during happy hour for sure!

We love to try places we have never been to before when participating in DEVOUR INDY. This time we sampled Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen and Bar. This place is adjacent to the Alexander Hotel. Parking is easy; we used a nearby garage. First, the cocktails were amazing. In fact my wife said her Espresso Martini was the best she had ever had. Our appetizers of fried green tomatoes and crispy brussel sprouts were very good with the tomatoes served on a bed of grits and drizzled with a red pepper sauce. Our entrees of Shrimp and Grits and half fried chicken were brought out hot and quickly. The grits were packed with shrimp and the 18 hour brined honey dusted chicken was juicy on the inside and so so crunchy outside. HOWEVER. THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING WAS THE SPECTACULAR SERVICE WE RECEIVED FROM ASHLEY. She was very attentive, very informative of how the menu was prepared and all smiles. Most importantly, she displayed a distinctive pride in restaurant she was representing and the quality of food she brought to the table. She is indeed an asset to Tupelo Honey and truly made our experience the best.

Where the best place to park?

I'd recommend ParkMobile street parking. There's a garage called CityWay South Parking Garage that is pricier than street parking. You can park just down the street in Fletcher Place for free for a 5m walk.

The only small hiccup was that the extra plates for our cinnamon roll were placed on a nearby table, so we weren't sure if they were actually meant for us.
