Best coffee, environment and beans around. I first met Eduardo at the Bristol farmers market. His pure passion for coffee amazed me. He's always smiling, and has the best attitude. But give him some time to talk and you'll want to listen. He not only knows his stuff, but is one of the most passionate business owners I've met and the product shows it 100%. His recommendation to try the dark chocolate in an iced mocha was spot on and the affogato is a great quick snack. read more

This is a great spot for coffee and pastry. The first time there I enjoyed a Tinto coffee and a Cinnamon Twist pastry. The amazing Columbian coffee is smooth! My husband ordered a Cortado and a Dirtbomb muffin. We bought a pound of ground coffee for home. Delicious, nice atmosphere and very clean cafe. Owner and staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Just what Connecticut needs more of! A good, small town coffee roaster/cafe who legitimately cares about the quality of their product. I ordered an americano while I was there and sipped on it while talking to the friendly staff and owners. The espresso in the americano tasted good, no "salty" hints that typically occur as a result of a bad pull. Do yourself a favor and give this place some love, they deserve it! read more

This place is a real gem!! Traveling through the New England States and headed back south and happened to be staying in Bristol for a few days. Wanted a latte and found the best brew!! The iced latte was smooth and delicious and the "tinto" was perfect black or with a splash of cream. The environment is relaxing and the people are friendly. You can tell they are putting their heart into the coffee, baked goods, and sweet treats they offer. I was recently to Hershey Chocolate Factory, but the small dulce leche coffee heart that they gave us to try is the best piece of chocolate I've ever had! Magnificent! Would definitely stop here again if I'm in the area. read more

Today was my second time visiting Cafe Real and I brought my sister with me today. The coffee is AMAZING. It's so smooth and delicious and I can drink it with just a touch of cream and sugar and it is perfection. The one thing that makes me sad is that I'm moving far out of state and won't be able to stop in and support this lovely cafe. I hope it lasts a long time because it's just what Bristol needs. Since I also write about sensory things, being autistic, I must say this place is perfect. I go after it has been open a few hours so it's nice a quiet there. The aroma of coffee is not overwhelming. The lights are dimmer and perfect, and the colors of the cafe are welcoming. I could see myself working there on grading papers and just drinking a delicious coffee. Love this place! It is absolutely adorable inside. Owner is fantastic. If u don't know how to order or what to order he will make it to exactly the right way. Very nice. Haven't tried the waffles yet but they look delicious so I will soon. It's out of my way during the week so I don't get there but the weekend this is my go to spot for sure. I only have one negative comment and that would be the one and only time I got hot coffee out of the carafes it was not as hot as I would like after adding cream it was cold. Wonderful coffee. No chain coffee place can compare. They sell an assortment of pastries, cookies, etc. I believe from Harvest, not entirely sure. It is small inside, they do use the space well, with some bar seating, small tables, window counter seats as well. Street parking, unless you park in the parking lot up the street, across from Choices and the Cell phone store. Highly recommended, friendly and helpful. The owner happily helped make a selection, especially for someone who only drank regular coffee. read more

Calling all coffee lovers. 11/10 coffee spot right in the center of bristol. They fully roast all of their own ORGANIC columbian beans in house and they have a nice variety of selection if you want to switch it up from your regular style of coffee. This is NOT the type place with 15 different flavored coffee options but really.. you don't need all that. If you enjoy good strong coffee, Cafe Real is the spot. Stopped in for the first time this morning. I travel the State of Connecticut daily for work and have had coffee from nearly every coffee shop to be found. Café Real is organically delicious and flavorful!! Some coffees cause my skin itchy, likely from pesticides and/or chemicals, but this one does not! If you want the absolute best, smoothest tasting coffee, this is the place to go. They only carry Columbian coffee from a single farm that they roast there. Light, medium or dark roast. Owner Edwardo is super knowledgeable about coffee. I do French press at home and I hand grind me beans. He suggested I buy the dark roast while beans to get the best flavor from the French press. I've been trying various roasters around the area and I am now only buying my whole beans here. You will not be disappointed. read more
