    Iced coffee

Literally just yesterday, I said "There can't be too many 5 Star Coffee Businesses in CT." While in Bristol today, I Yelp-searched for nearby coffee places. What did I find? Cafe Real . . . a 5 Star coffee place. I'm going to try this trick with taco places next. As I understand it, Cafe Real has a very cool background. I may have this anywhere from 20% to 90% right. The owner is Eduardo, who was not there when I visited. He is somehow associated with a coffee estate in Colombia, which provides the "green coffee", which is then roasted in CT, and used to make the coffee beverages at Cafe Real in Bristol. They also sell the beans. There are people who most associate good coffee with Colombia. I personally prefer some places of origin with more bright and fruit flavor notes in the coffees. That said, my iced coffee was smooth and service was very good. Cafe Real isn't quite 5 Stars for me, but if you're a Colombian coffee fan, you should check out Cafe Real. There was some seating by the way, but it's not a place where you would meet a group of people. Seems like more of a takeout place. Four Stars

Businesses like this are often found in places like Beverly Hills. Directly sourced coffee beans from their family farm, roasted fresh right here in Bristol, and unique pastries. The guava pastry is incredible. And they have the most smooth, amazing, well-prepared coffee! A true gem! And the owner and staff are super friendly and informative! They are hugely community involved, which all makes them the best reason to shop local! Some great gift ideas here, along with their amazing coffee!

This place is amazing fresh roasted Columbian Coffee!!!! The owners are so friendly and hospitable. The decor, the aroma, the language, the food, the friendliness, I felt like I was on Vacation in South America. The prices are great ((They even make their own expresso chocolate )) This place is a gem and a Must Go to I highly recommend it!!!

I recommend this spot whole heartedly! What a hidden gem! The whole space is impeccably clean. The manager on duty was so warm and friendly. I felt like I was in his home. My cold brew was delicious, and I'm very picky about that. if I understood correctly, the owner gets coffee beans from his family in Columbia! They had three different sugar-free syrups. Most places only have sugar-free vanilla. But best of all was the Colombian pastry. I mean it, it was outstanding. Such a refreshing change from the same old same old! It is gluten free and the version I had was filled with cheese and guava jam!

Hidden gem in downtown bristol. A Super nice clean place, with surprising view in the back. Patio in the back is cool, and the espresso was great.

This is simply 5 Star coffee, it's amazing. The ONLY coffee we drink at home now. Eduardo is a super-nice guy, and he knows coffee. Highly recommend you trying it, nuff said.

Café Real is a small little coffee shop located in downtown Bristol,CT. Eddie and the baristas are very knowledgeable in everything coffee. Eddie sources his coffee beans from his own farm in Columbia and take pride in only the very best! If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by for a little chat and great coffee. *it's a 4 star only because of the parking is a little tricky. Coffee is a 5 all day.

    Cortado after one sip.

Best espresso in Bristol, yes. Best espresso in Connecticut, sure. Best espresso in the country, perhaps. Do yourself a favor and get yourself an espresso here. Extraordinary. Truly. Best coffee in the world.

Best coffee I ever had, people are super friendly. They do a lot for the community and prices are cheap for the quality of service.

I stopped off the highway here when traveling because I needed some strong caffeine. The coffee…read moreshop looks nice, clean and spacious. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. I ordered a hot mocha and it was delicious. The latte art was cute and the sprinkle of mocha on top made all the difference. They only have one size for the latte drink, but it was all I needed. I would definitely go back.

Still good coffee, but not as great as before…read more I go to this specific coffee shop quite a bit. They do a good coffee, and they got a reasonable selection of baked goods. I'm removing a star because the standards seem to be slipping a bit. They switched their bakery and although recently they've been experimenting with their in house baking there's a notable difference between what they outsource and what they make in house. The in house stuff is significantly better in terms of quality and freshness, and although priced high they are usually worth the price. The outsourced items don't seem as fresh and it's hard to justify the prices. The coffee is still balanced between the earthy coffee and the house made flavors for their lattes. The experience has been a bit colder as of late, which is fine if you're grabbing a cup to go, but not if you intend to write some reviews while enjoying a cup. That coupled with the multiple times there's been equipment failures which forced me to go someplace else. I honestly cannot state this is worth the trek to try only because there's a chance you can't get coffee at the cafe. I think it's time for myself to trek for another place. For those who want a good cup of coffee, this place is still good for that. Focus on the house-made stuff, order to go, and enjoy.

This is an updated review based upon my first visit to Krafted's new location in the same building…read more I suggested their old location wouldn't win any beauty contests. Well now, they're Miss Freakin' America. The space is gorgeous. And they aced the talent competition too. I almost exclusively drink iced coffee, and I don't always love Iced Americanos. But here, they were up front about the fact that it would be an Iced Americano, when some places are sneaky about it. I appreciate that. I also liked that they offered three single origins as options. I went with the Papua New Guinea. It was great. Krafted is serious about coffee. Now they have a serious location too. 5 Stars

This tiny shop serves the absolute best latte I've had in Connecticut or elsewhere for that matter…read more This is truly the definition of a hidden gem! This coffee roaster is tucked away on the side of a building and offers the best beans you will get anywhere. They roast their own in house and so far my husband and I have tried the Bantam, Mexico and Nicaragua blends and all are fantastic and so unique. Our go to order is the maple latte which I will rave about until the end of time to everyone. They also have a small but delicious selection of baked goods to choose from but our personal favorite are the chocolate chip cookies! The workers and owner are also so kind and have great recommendations! Krafted Brew Lab is a must visit!
