Oh my goodness!! This place is ADORABLE! A cute old Victorian house turned coffeehouse? Sign me up! Quintessential New England! ALSO they have coffee flights, I was thrilled when I saw that. There is plenty of seating, I was easily able to secure a table and hunker down to enjoy my flight and do some work. The spice flight was great and every drink I had was delicious. I also got the breakfast sandwich which I highly recommend. Every employee I interacted with was so nice! From the guy who took my order to the girl who delivered the flight- all of them had a smile on their face and nice word to say. If you're in the area stop by, you won't regret it!

I noticed this coffee shop when I parked nearby and made a point to visit when I was back in town for errands. The coffee shop is in a gorgeous old house. I want to call it a Victorian, but house styles are not my strength. LOL There are nice seating areas effectively in rooms of the house. I doubt there are many cooler locations for coffee in CT. But for me, at a coffee shop, coffee is the name of the game. My black iced coffee was a bit above of average. I didn't see bags of coffee for sale, which ordinarily means a coffee shop isn't using beans from a high end craft roaster. They have food, but I didn't get any. They have baked goods, breakfast, lunch, specials. Based upon what I saw of food that was displayed, I expect the food to be decent, but not spectacular. Four Stars, but if you're looking for a cool place to hang out. The Coffee Spot is probably a bit closer to 4.25 Stars

This coffee shop is what you're looking for when you want to hang for a bit. It's in an old house, few different rooms inside and seating outdoors as well. Dog friendly inside and out. When we went there was a musician inside which was a great addition. Food was great, coffee delicious and for how busy it was the wait was average. They will bring your food to you so just order and then get cozy. Perfect if you're looking for a spot to say "love this place"

Love how inviting and cozy this coffee spot is. There are several cozy spots to sit in but my favorite is the one that looks like what I like to refer to as the library/study. Complete with cozy arm chairs and little tables. Great place to grab coffee/tea and a pastry or a sandwich and a drink, meet up with friends or just read a book. Great service and friendly staff. One of my fave coffee spots in the area.

Adorable spot in a quaint old house! There's a ton of indoor and outdoor space to sit in. Inside is divided up into four or five rooms, so it's got a cozy feel. I got the chicken Caesar salad, which was your standard one that you'd find anywhere. A bit pricey, but it was fine. We got the latte flight and it was fun to try. They were all too sweet for us, but it's essentially just different syrups in each, so it's more of a dessert drink. Husband also got a scone. They also have lots of bakery items to choose from, including gluten-free pastries and desserts. It was a pleasant time and I would go back, but I'd probably skip the salad.

I was in Simsbury for a wedding and The Coffee Spot was within an easy stroll from my hotel. In my opinion, this is what a coffee shop should be. Not only was the coffee and breakfast sandwich good, the ambiance was cozy and welcoming. The Coffee Spot is located in a vintage house and they've kept the original floor plan. There was the original kitchen where you ordered your coffee, pastries or a breakfast sandwich. Then rooms to the front, were set up for reading or doing computer work. The restroom was gender friendly. I enjoyed a medium drip coffee and a Breakfast Sandwich. My sammie was made on a toasted Everything Bagel with egg, bacon and cheddar cheese. While I enjoyed my breakfast, I took advantage of their free Wi-Fi and answered a few e-mails. If I lived in Simsbury, I definitely would be a regular here. Why would anyone want to go to a Starbucks when you can experience the warm fuzziness of The Coffee Shop.

My mum and I found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out--I'm so glad we did! From the charming building to the delicious coffee and fresh pastries, everything deserves five stars. A big shoutout to Colleen for her outstanding customer service.

I always make it a point to visit this coffee shop whenever I'm in Simsbury visiting my sister. Their scones are amazing--always fresh, with unique and delicious flavors that keep me coming back for more. They also make fantastic cookies, both regular and vegan. The oatmeal raisin is my personal favorite! And of course, their coffee is excellent. I usually get a cappuccino, which is always perfectly made. This place is a gem, and I highly recommend it!

"One more cup of coffee for the road One more cup of coffee before I go To the valley below" (Bob Dylan) Things that were Five Star Fabulous at the Coffee Spot: The Service was fantastic! A slew of friendly, smiling, super helpful crew members took our breakfast order, discussed bread options, answered our questions, brought out our food and were all fantastic to interact with. The interior of the café is gorgeous! What a collection of customer spaces to sit and gab, or eat and drink, or work away on your laptop like we saw one gent studiously doing today. Check out the back room with the beautifully painted mural of Simsbury attractions, like the Flower Bridge and Heublein Tower. The coffee was great. We went old school and just had their house blend but it was stellar. For me, the weak link was the food. I ordered an Avocado Toast with Egg, my wife ordered a Bacon and Egg on a bagel, and we went halfsies on the orders. I had issues with the eggs, more so on the bagel sandwich than the Avocado Toast. It seemed to be a big slightly over-microwaved slab that simply wasn't very good. I took a few bites of the egg and called it quits. Maybe next time we'll swap out our breakfast sandwiches for some of the yummy looking scones or muffins.

Everytime we would drive past there is always people hanging out on the Adirondack chairs drinking their coffees. Finally had the chance to stop by ourselves & wish we did it sooner! Not only is their Sweet Spot coffee & Arnold Palmer sip worthy but so is their food. The butter & cinnamon honey bagel along with their blueberry muffin cannot be missed! Plus plenty of seating inside & out.

It was sooo good , very light and filling , highly recommend ! My sister ordered the VEGAN kimichi bowl which was really good as well . And presentation was beautiful My husband ordered the Korean fried chicken and waffles ! The waffles came in rose shape which was beautiful 10/10 for the presentation and taste . They also have some baked goods like a cinnamon roll, alfagor shortbread cookies, and various cakes; they seemed to have a dry consistency which isn't my preference with pastries. The spinach and chicken empanadas ($6 each) were also a little dry and crust to filling ratio was more on the crust side. The two omelettes were ok but one was more well done than the other and you couldn't really customize it much; the home fries were good though. They also have a variety of drinks that were interesting, especially the Peruvian coffee and golden latte. You order at the counter and then your food is brought to you. Empanadas just needed to be heated. The atmosphere isn't bad. There are a few small tables and it was pretty quiet, with a few customers stopping in every once in awhile. In the warmer weather, outdoor seating is available. Parking shouldn't be an issue either.

How cool is that? You'll find it in the Antonio's Plaza on Hopmeadow Street in the space previously occupied by Lox Stock and Bagel, a Dunkin, and a Lion's Den coffee shop. The interior is very pretty with a white and pink color scheme, but what really grabs your attention are the tantalizing bakery treats in their showcase - cake slices, Dulche de Leche rolls, and wonderful Peruvian cookie/pastries known as Alfajores. Pam also serves up breakfast with avocado toasts, bagels wraps, egg sandwiches, and heartier fare like waffles, empanadas, steak and eggs, omelets, pancakes and waffles. Add in their deep line of coffees and teas, and you have the makings of a wonderful experience here, like we did. We had a very nice lunch here yesterday and ordered a spinach empanada and a beef empanada for me, and a Lucuma Chocolate Chip Waffle ($11.50). My empanadas ($6 each) were wonderful. They are homemade every single day by Pam herself and were flaky, tender, and really loaded with fillings. The beef empanada was my favorite; the delicately spiced ground beef was delicious. The full-sized circular waffle was a work of art, garnished with strawberries, Nutella, chocolate shavings and bordered by a pillow of golden whipped cream flavored by Lucuma, a sweet yellowish South American fruit. When Pam's daughter Danitza brought out our foods, she gave us a complimentary Nutella Alfajor - a yummy, filled shortbread cookie. Ours was so terrific, we ordered two of them to go -a Classic and a Pistachio. When we arrived home, we saw a third small Alfajor was tossed into the box as another freebie. We really fell in love with Baked by Pam! The delicious pastries, the breakfast and brunch menu, the pretty interior, and the wonderful service -everything was stellar.

I received my order rather quickly, in a little bit over 10 minutes. Considering the restaurant was super busy, I could tell the back of the restaurant had their act together, and the total process of this restaurant was really well organized. At eight dollars for this perfectly toasted everything bagel, with homemade sausage with a little kick, two eggs cooked perfectly over easy, along with this cheese that just melted in my mouth, I was sent into heavenly Bliss. The explosion of the different flavors was perfection. The homemade hot sauce was delicious , it was like Tabasco sauce on steroids. Drago's you need to bottle this and sell it! But Toasted Oat hits the high points of quality of cook on the food, even if the ingredients may not all be top notch. We enjoyed the regular breakfast sandwich with spinach and cheese (subbed the meat but wish the spinach had been cooked in - $7) and the breakfast scramble which included 2 eggs, 3 veggies, cheese, protein all mixed/cut up together, as well as hash brown (didn't exactly look homemade?) and toast ($11). Everything was served in to-go containers so the looks weren't the best but makes sense given the place and that most people probably don't dine in. And trust me, this spot is definitely worth hunting down to experience a standout breakfast or lunch. We walked in a little before 1:00 yesterday and found a table for two in the back left corner of the dining room, so we had a good view of the entire room. I have to tell ya, the place was packed! Breakaway closes at 3:00 every day except Sunday (2:00), and there were breakfast and lunch menus out, plus a few daily specials. My wife went with a "William's Ham Panini" ($17) with thin sliced ham, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and honey mustard on a grilled panini. We both were struck at how much ham was piled onto her sandwich. She had a few choices for a side dish and put her nickel down on potato salad. I went with The JT Salad ($16). The menu says it's been their "best-selling salad 25 years and counting". It was a big portion of mixed greens served with house balsamic dressing, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and grilled chunks of teriyaki glazed chicken breast. It was stellar, with plenty of that yummy cheese and chicken. The only sour note with our lunch was a rather steep $4.25 for a glass of iced tea that was half-filled with ice. The food was very good and a decent amount of leftovers came home with us for another day. I was unexpectedly impressed by how crowded Bistro was on a random Monday. I bet you'll be too.
