    Tasty Biscuit Burger

I am big on eating local. Went to visit family but we wanted stop for breakfast beforehand and noticed this little gem right off of interstate. I do read Yelp reviews and they were mixed. So we had to find out for ourselves. The parking lot looks small and I expected the inside to be as well but it's huge! The menu is as well. If you're indecisive this menu might be overwhelming but they have a little of everything. It was brunch time by the time we got there and they offer lunch and breakfast all day long, which was perfect since we wanted different meals. The portion sizes are decent and it's not overpriced for what you get. Our server was nice, although she was busy and something's felt rushed but she had a big table that sat down before us so a lot going on. The place started to pack up and it stayed busy after we left too. It's definitely a place we'd stop back at and try more items on the menu! There are a couple other locations so maybe we'd try those out as well.

    Grits is exceptional

Exceptional grits with shrimp! Let me start by saying this dish alone is worth the visit. The moment I spotted it on the menu, I knew I wasn't leaving without trying it. Jazmine, our waitress, smiled and told me, "Oh, they're really good." She wasn't exaggerating--not even a little. The grits came out creamy, smooth, and exactly the consistency you hope for when you order something that sounds comforting. No lumps, no shortcuts--just true, soulful cooking. And the shrimp? A very pleasant surprise. Not only were there plenty of them, but they were medium-sized, fresh, and seasoned just right. It's rare to find a place that doesn't skimp on seafood, so they get major points for that. Even though the restaurant was noticeably busy, we walked right in with no wait. That alone put a smile on my face. The space itself is versatile--roomy enough to handle larger groups without feeling cramped, but still intimate enough for a cozy meal for two. They really nailed that balance. The ambiance is honestly one of my favorite parts. It feels like home--warm, inviting, and designed to make you relax into your seat a little deeper. You get that sense of a place that takes pride not just in the food but in the experience they give their guests. Between the excellent service, the fresh and flavorful food, and the welcoming atmosphere, this spot has easily made its way onto my "must return" list. If you're in the area, treat yourself. Try the shrimp and grits. Trust me--you'll walk out planning your next visit.

I went here every morning after my workouts, and it became part of the routine quick. The biscuits are fresh, soft, and full of that real Southern comfort. Breakfast hits every time; simple, flavorful, and made with care. Good energy, good people, and the kind of spot that makes your morning feel right. Live, love and laugh - Sha

Omelette is on point 10/10. Salads are filling and fresh. Over all food is delicious and well presented. Service is great, fast and friendly. Waiting time is not long at all even if they have several people. I've been to different locations and they are all great. I recommend it.

We were in Bolingbrook for a hockey tournament and I'm so glad someone suggested we go here for brunch. It was packed when we got there and we thought it would be a long wait but we lucked out and got the last available table, that's how popular this place is. So much on the menu to choose from but it was a no-brainer for me, got the SPECIAL Eggs Benedict with crispy hash browns. Look at this masterpiece! It was so delicious that I have no idea what my three companions ordered because I was so focused on my plate. Highly recommend!

Whenever I get jambalaya cravings, I end up here. My sister and I come for brunch and she ends up getting the fried catfish and grits breakfast and I end up with the jambalaya. The portions are very generous and we always end up with leftovers. We also get the cream of chicken rice soup that their predecessor restaurant (Family Square) was known for. It's nice to be able to get my fix for those soup cravings here now

When I walked into the restaurant. Two ladies were in the front. I said hello to them and they did NOT say anything back. They were not busy and they definitely saw me. Eventually others staff greeted us and we were seated. The food was good and my waitress was on point. However, there is no way I'm dealing with poor service.

Such a good brunch find! Very clean and nice atmosphere. I had a chai with cookie butter syrup added and it was great! The hot chicken bennedict was fantastic! I loved the biscuits pairing with the fried chicken, poached eggs, and sauces. The pancakes are huge and tasty and the scrambled eggs are delicious. If you're in the area this is a great brunch spot!

This place looked like it maybe deceiving but upon arrival it's a good little breakfast place. They have a very strong cold brew and even offer Turkish coffee. I ordered strawberry pancakes and they were willing to give me fresh strawberries. Bacon was also good. Hospitality was spot on and service was great. Will be back, but out of towners.

Really good food, came with my whole family and all of them thought it was amazing. Our waiter we had was incredibly kind to us. I will say though, the prices are very high. It was $217 for us, it was around $27 per person after calculating it. Everything else was amazing and I highly recommend this if you're in the area.

    Bbq pulled pork meal

Service was immaculate, was greeted immediately and then sat in a clean, well lit area. Menu was vast, many different kinds of food and drinks. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich meal. The meal came with the sandwich, fries, and a side of soup. (Choice of soup/salad was provided) The pulled pork itself was great, had perfect texture but mild in the flavor. The bread was perfectly toasted and fresh. The bbq sauce for the pork was extraordinary. 10/10 sauce. The fries were very tasteful, perfectly crispy and seasoned. Great portion as well. As for the soup, I had chicken noodle. It was delicious as well, a good size portion of this was provided too. Overall, will highly recommend this place and be returning in the future.

Attempts to reach corporate through their listed executive emails bounced back as undeliverable. On June 21 around 2pm, I experienced highly unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from on-site managers, Meghan & Javier. Upon arrival, I was referred to the bar area where a member of staff took my to-go order which consisted of an appetizer and two desserts (slices of cake ) from your menu. Five minutes after placing my order, the young lady returned and said she was informed that the restaurant, despite having it on the menu presented to me, no longer offers cake slices to go, but if I dined in, I would be able to order the cake. I asked to speak with the manager. "Meghan" approached and said that, despite the false advertising on the menu, we could not order the normal size cake to go but a smaller version was available. When asked to see the menu reflecting said portion and pricing, it was not available. I then asked if there was someone else who could help. After waiting 10 minutes, manager "Javier" approached, not introducing himself, and spoke with an aura of disrespect, simply stating that it isn't necessary for the restaurant to advertise the smaller cake slice or price, and the only way we would be able to order is if we were to dine-in. When I offered for myself and my daughter to dine in at the bar with the order we originally placed to go (baked goat cheese with extra crostini, chocolate cake and carrot cake), we were told that was insufficient and that a "full tab" would be needed. In all of my dining experience, I have never been treated with such contempt, especially from management. Instead of working to resolve a standard issue or offering some sort of solution , the manager simply walked away without any resolve. This behavior is completely out of line with standard hospitality practices. I have submitted a formal report through WeEat website intake form on June 30 and am waiting for a prompt response from a regional director or HR representative to resolve this matter. I hope that in the future you will address these issues and improve the service at Goat and Vine as treating patrons on this level should not be taken lightly.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Upon sitting down, I noticed that there was salt and sticky stuff all over my side of the table. So, I asked the waiter to wipe the table, at which point he seemed fairly discombobulated and he asked if we wanted to move to another table. I said, no - I'd like to stay where I was and if you just get a rag and wipe the table. But, he wasn't sure how to do that without wiping crumbs into my lap. Well, buddy there's more than one way to wipe down a table without flinging crumbs in my lap, but I'll digress. He came back moments later with a small red bucket, ringing out the rag at our table side. I think at this point I was more worried about getting splashed with soapy, bleach water than I was with a crumb falling in my lap. After the waiter wiped my table I had to use my napkin to wipe up the tsunami of water that he left behind. WTH!! Ok, so we ordered our food. My friend ordered Corned Beef Benedict with hashbrown potatoes (not fruit), I ordered a Monte Cristo with fries, which came with a cup soup, so I ordered their Minestrone Soup, and I requested a side of Parmesan Cheese. A little while later, our waiter came back to inform me that they had ran out of the soup I ordered, and he asked if I wanted the other soup, which was Jalapeño something or another. Nah, I'll pass - thank you! Well, we waited a good 15 minutes for our food to come out and when it did, my friend did not receive her hashbrown potatoes, but rather a side of fruit that she did not order. She also received a small cup of Parmesan Cheese, which was supposed to come with my Minestrone soup that they "ran out of." Surprisingly enough, the waiter noticed that it was on her plate, so he casually grabbed it and set it over by me. Not that it would've done me any good considering, I didn't even get my soup, but, OK! Now let's talk about my Monte Cristo. At first, it looked great, but looks can be deceiving. The size of the bread was absolutely astronomical, but when you opened up the sandwich it reminded me of the commercial, "Where's the Beef?" Needless to say, I had to call a manager over to the table. When she arrived, I explained to her that the meat on the sandwich was being overtaken by the sheer amount of bread. Instead of offering solutions at this point, she was merely looking at me completely dumbfounded, so I had to literally ask her what we could do to remedy the situation? She asked if I would like my sandwich on thin bread. Sure, fine - that sounds great! When my second sandwich arrived, it was on thin "toasted" bread, not the French Toast style bread that it usually comes on. Well, once again, I had to call the manager to my table and send my sandwich back. I explained that my sandwich came out on toasted bread and that's not what I expected. She said, "well, the French Toast is the thick bread that was on your first sandwich. Well, look lady, it's not friggin' rocket science. Take the thin bread, dip it in egg and make French Toast, then add the meat and cheese. WTF!! At this point, I'm completely frustrated and flabbergasted at the sheer amount of incompetence with the most simplest tasks. My friend is literally done eating all of her food, I have eaten almost all of my French Fries and I'm still waiting for my damn sandwich. So, I received my third sandwich, which looked OK until I cut into it and realized that it was just thin bread, dipped in butter and grilled on the stove with one slice of cheap lunchmeat, turkey, and one slice of thin cheap lunchmeat ham. As for the cheese, I think a mouse ate the other half of it because it definitely was not on my sandwich. There was definitely more meat on my first sandwich even though it was being overtaken by an abundance of unnecessary bread. I called the manager over, yet again, and explained to her that the bread had literally been dipped in butter and grilled. I also explained to her that I am diabetic and I need to eat however, I am not paying for this food. During the 1990s and early 2000s I worked in the restaurant industry as a server and as a manager, and I can tell you this, I would've offered to comp the bill or a portion of the bill before ever waiting for a customer to tell me that they're not going to pay for it. With all that being said, I will never eat there again!! Once was more than enough! Don't even get me started on all the caked on dirt that was visible on the baseboards. Yikes!! At least the bartender was cool, and made a pretty damn good Mimosa, which I'm glad I ordered because after that shit show anyone in their right mind would need a good drink just to be able to cope.

Fried chicken was crispy on outside and juicy meat just like I remember. The fritters did not disappoint, sweet, sugary and savory. Mmmmmm nice and hot food. I've never eaten inside but seems like a ton of tables inside. I did take out and the cashier was friendly. Food came out fast. Next time we'll have to sit down and eat in!

Based on food, that 2-star above would be a "4". It's a family-run establishment, and therein lies the reason for the 2-star mark. They have rules. Oboy, do they have rules. When you order the chicken, they bring it out "family style", and only the folks who order the chicken can sup from the bowls. They put out relishes and yummy corn fritters, but don't think you're going to get to take them along in the doggie bag. You can rent a seat for $10.41, if you don't order a full dinner; and your kids can rent their seats for $5.20, if THEY don't order a dinner. There's a "Lettuce salad" for $8.63, but only at that price if you order WITHOUT croutons. Apparently the WFF folks didn't swing when the crouton futures were favorable. For the record, "croutons" are nowhere on the menu...at any price. There was a scowling manager who reminded me of Basil Fawlty (q.v.). It seemed she was annoyed by the customers. Their policy is NO SPLIT CHECKS. That's okay, we have calculators on our fones. We were a party of four, a regular dining quartet, and it is our custom that no one picks up the entire check. Sometimes one or more of us pays cash for their portion and others have a card. We'll say: "charge each card $40, and here's $50 in cash". Round numbers, easy peasy. (which actually results in a bonus for the server 'cos the tip turns out to be greater than normal) We've never encountered a problem at any resto (who accepts credit cards) when it came to giving them payment in this fashion. O, but there was a problem here. One of our 4 didnt have any cash and needed to pay with his card, but was told "No, you can't!" The fellow with the Card was so offended, he said he was going to skip dinner, and just have a Diet Coke. But that would trigger the $10.41 "I ain't eatin'" fee. Well. It stupefies me that ANY establishment would kick back at customers wanting to pay their bill. The waitress was adamant that we could not proffer varied payments for our bill. We asked for a manager, and Ms. Fawlty sidled up to our table. They kept insisting there was "NO SPLIT CHECK", but we weren't ASKING for a split check. The ask was on the SUM TOTAL (with generous tip added). We even made the ask in "round numbers" They didn't have to do any math. I thought I was going to have to pull up an Esperanto translator to get her to understand we weren't asking to SPLIT the check. After some sprightly conversation, the loose wire in the old bag's noggin hit the right contact and then she grokked what we were proposing. I thought I saw sparks coming from her right ear, but it might have been a trick of the light. Luckily, the guy with the card could now eat. The aggregate service was fine, with the above exception, and as I said above, the food IS top-notch. Even beyond Chicken-- the Steak here is very good. My carping here nonetheless, it's a fun place to go, and you are guaranteed a fine feed. But if you're in mixed company, work out who is going to grab the tab before you sit down...

This is much better than the place by me (Mojo's). The portion size is huge. They give you a ton of meat, the bun is soft, and meat is tender. They have a lot of deals. Check on Yelp and inside the restaurant for all those bargains.

The meat seemed a bit odd in texture from others I have had. Like it was double ground ? Didn't have the chew that I was used to. Tomatoes and onions were plentiful and the tzatziki sauce could have had a touch more cucumber flavor. The fries were great !! Husband got a gym shoe. *Be warned* this thing is HUGE !! Like served in a 9x13 pan with fries huge !!! This is a meal for at least two !! But it was very tasty !!! Kiddo got a double cheese burger that he inhaled. All meals came with yummy fries. No fountain drinks just bottles and cans. The only downside is all the condiments are in little packets. We are a family that loves ketchup on fries but didn't want to tear open a ton of little packets. Maybe a bottle or two of ketchup on the counter for eat in orders next time. And a a few extra napkins other than the one that comes in the plastic cutlery packet too. Your sammiches are juicy. We need more napkins !!
