On the last day of my workshop/conference in Chicago, on a Friday morning, Tasty Biscuit was catered in for breakfast! This was my first time ever having Tasty Biscuit since I'm located out in Vegas and I don't come to Chicago that often. For the breakfast catered order, it was the following -Crepes with Fruit -Biscuits -Bacon -Sausage I liked the concept of catered crepes, especially with all of the fresh fruit like strawberries, but it didn't hold up well. The crepes were soggy. I think it was because it was in the container for so long and with the moisture. The flavor was good though! I enjoyed the biscuits. They were super scrumptious. I think there was a side of honey butter and it really blended well with the biscuits. The bacon and sausage was good too. I typically like my bacon extra crispy, but these slices from Tasty Biscuit were pretty good! I think next time I'm in Chicago, I'll have to go inside the restaurant and have breakfast! I've been coming to this location over 3 times the food it's good the coffee it's warm not hot I believe they need to replace the coffee burners and maintain coffee hot / Service good & decoration very good except they still have Christmas ornaments we are at the end of January 2026 it's time for valentine's decoration start advertising valentines packages meals. The reason I'm gave them 3 stars it's because I ordered a Skirt steak and it was like 8 oz instead of 12 oz, as the manger claimed when asked him about the weight portion of the steaks! My order was 4 eggs skirt steak mw & coffee total over $41.00 plus tip $9.00 total $50.00 for breakfast it's insane. For that price I rather go for lunch at Logan steak house for 22 oz ribeye for $33.00 Honestly they need to adjust their prices to $18.00 for 12 oz steak and add 3 eggs instead of 2- Today January 27 2026 I find myself at the Honey Berry restaurant in Bolingbrook and the food was great ! Descent meal for $24.00 I had home made corn beef Benedict's and I requested extra egg everything was cooked perfect except the food was warm not hot ! The good The staff was great. Very attentive and stopped by refilling the average tasting coffee . The poached eggs were good overall.i am guessing that was the only item not precooked. The grits were the best part of the meal. The bad: Had the southern Benedict with grits. My order was out in less than 5 minute and it was luke warm. So not made from sratch. The homemade sausage patties were disappointing maybe they would have been better hot but as seven they were worse than hot prefab. Also they were surprisingly uniformed when you cut into them for homemade sausage patties. The biscuits which I assumed are made fresh daily could at least be warmed. I am big on eating local. Went to visit family but we wanted stop for breakfast beforehand and noticed this little gem right off of interstate. I do read Yelp reviews and they were mixed. So we had to find out for ourselves. The parking lot looks small and I expected the inside to be as well but it's huge! The menu is as well. If you're indecisive this menu might be overwhelming but they have a little of everything. It was brunch time by the time we got there and they offer lunch and breakfast all day long, which was perfect since we wanted different meals. The portion sizes are decent and it's not overpriced for what you get. Our server was nice, although she was busy and something's felt rushed but she had a big table that sat down before us so a lot going on. The place started to pack up and it stayed busy after we left too. It's definitely a place we'd stop back at and try more items on the menu! Exceptional grits with shrimp! Let me start by saying this dish alone is worth the visit. The moment I spotted it on the menu, I knew I wasn't leaving without trying it. Jazmine, our waitress, smiled and told me, "Oh, they're really good." She wasn't exaggerating--not even a little. The grits came out creamy, smooth, and exactly the consistency you hope for when you order something that sounds comforting. No lumps, no shortcuts--just true, soulful cooking. And the shrimp? A very pleasant surprise. Not only were there plenty of them, but they were medium-sized, fresh, and seasoned just right. It's rare to find a place that doesn't skimp on seafood, so they get major points for that. Even though the restaurant was noticeably busy, we walked right in with no wait. That alone put a smile on my face. The space itself is versatile--roomy enough to handle larger groups without feeling cramped, but still intimate enough for a cozy meal for two. They really nailed that balance. The ambiance is honestly one of my favorite parts. It feels like home--warm, inviting, and designed to make you relax into your seat a little deeper. You get that sense of a place that takes pride not just in the food but in the experience they give their guests. Between the excellent service, the fresh and flavorful food, and the welcoming atmosphere, this spot has easily made its way onto my "must return" list. If you're in the area, treat yourself. We were in Bolingbrook for a hockey tournament and I'm so glad someone suggested we go here for brunch. It was packed when we got there and we thought it would be a long wait but we lucked out and got the last available table, that's how popular this place is. So much on the menu to choose from but it was a no-brainer for me, got the SPECIAL Eggs Benedict with crispy hash browns. Look at this masterpiece! I've been to the Naperville location once and the Bolingbrook location definitely didn't let me down. The Naperville location looks (and is) newer and nicer than the Bolingbrook one. The food quality was equal at both places... absolutely delicious! The biscuits are freshly made, and all the food in general tastes very good. Service was immaculate, was greeted immediately and then sat in a clean, well lit area. Menu was vast, many different kinds of food and drinks. I ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich meal. The meal came with the sandwich, fries, and a side of soup. (Choice of soup/salad was provided) The pulled pork itself was great, had perfect texture but mild in the flavor. The bread was perfectly toasted and fresh. The bbq sauce for the pork was extraordinary. 10/10 sauce. The fries were very tasteful, perfectly crispy and seasoned. Great portion as well. I went to this establishment with a friend this morning walking in the ambience is great. It's clean it's quaint. It was welcoming. Our waitress was wonderful. The young lady at the front desk. Who later learned was the manager is phenomenal. Now let's talk about the food. I ordered the shrimp and grits with bacon. It also came with eggs and it had jalapeños in it. Look at the picture and determine whether this is something that you would order. I couldn't eat it. It wasn't appetizing to the eye, and the manager was gracious enough to remove it from my tab . Been here many times for breakfast, finally decided to try it for lunch. I'm going to skip all the messed up details and just say the food was wrong and when replaced it was wrong again, the fries were cold and never received our sides even after asking multiple times. The owner was extremely rude and offered a one dollar discount which to me was just a slap in the face. It was fun coming here but I'm definitely done. I can get treated way better other places. I had a big French toast 4 stars One kid had crepes... 2 stars. She said it wasn't good. Went here a couple weeks ago for some quick breakfast. My mom, sister, niece & nephew really enjoyed their food. I wasn't too hungry so I just ordered some French toast with caramel and whip cream. It was fine. I've had fluffier French toast but it was still good. Our waiter was nice and generous which is always a good thing. I sooo wanted this to be amazing and if we are in IL again, we will come back to try the biscuits. I will leave a detailed review of why it wasn't 5* and why they got 4* instead of less. First, the greeting we received, including being told our 2 small dogs could come in with us, was so welcoming!!! I'm assuming it was either the GM or owner who allowed this. Our dogs are well behaved so it was nice being able to bring them in since only 1 is a service animal and the other is still a puppy. She even brought them bacon treats!!! My hubby and I both ordered coffee, he got the Turkish and I got a seasonal iced latte. He enjoyed his until the bottom. Lol We are not a Turkish coffee drinkers, but does it normally have an inch of black goo on the bottom of the cup? Mine was good, but I honestly couldn't tell you what I got by the taste. It was just sweet iced latte. 1 thing that stuck out was that our food arrived before the beverages, which seems odd if you are cooking to order. The food: WAY TOO MUCH TO CHOOSE FROM!!! For your sake, reduce your menu items by like 75%. Gordon Ramsey would flip at the size of this thing. Lol The seasonal menu alone has enough items for a restaurant! Makes it hard to choose. Would be nice to have maple syrup instead of the maple flavored sugar water. Where to start. I think ??? the crepes themselves were good, light, not doughy. Pumpkin? I didn't taste any. The cinnamon apples were good, not too sweet and not cinna-bitter, but honestly too many, but I'm not complaining about that cause I ate them lol. Would have liked a little more caramel syrup, instead of just decoration, maybe like a dip?, as the whole dish was not very sweet, even with all these components. The cream cheese filling was awful. It was gritty, flavorless, just not good! Please fix this! I ate around the pockets of it in the middle. The pecans (way too many) need to be toasted, and a little sea salt would make them POP on top! It was beautiful and plentiful as you can see in the pics. Please fix that filling. $17 is high, especially when you can't eat over half. Just disappointing. Again, the food was out so fast it beat our coffees. Spent $50 for the 4 items I discussed. No eggs or potatoes come with these items for the high prices. The restaurant is adorable! Very clean and the staff was friendly, attentive, and informative. We don't live here but if/when we pass through again, we will try the biscuits! read more

4/25/25: The biscuits are big, very filling, and most of all; really homemade. The delicious gravy is a chunky sausage with a nice thick consistency. Scrambled eggs were nice and fluffy. The cold brew coffee was so good and nice and strong. Each of our visits had great customer service with friendly, upbeat servers. They were very informative about the menu as well. Parking and getting seated were easy. The server we had was friendly and was good with refills and being attentive. Food was delicious. Downfall was asking for extra pickles on the side with The Southern, it was an extra $2 surprise on the receipt. Enjoyed soup too. They have booths and table/chair option. Bathroom was clean overall but the toilet tissue was sitting on the assist rail in the stall & was icky. Fortunately we buddied to the bathroom and we got slipped some tissue under the stall. The restaurant was busy but not overcrowded for a Saturday lunchtime. They close at 3pm so no dinner options. I don't think it should reflect in the review but close to saying this was 3 out of 5. We stumbled upon The Tasty Biscuit while in town for a wedding and ended up coming back twice--it was that good. Despite a packed parking lot both mornings, we were seated right away thanks to their fast, efficient service. The coffee was excellent, the menu was full of creative and classic options, and the food itself? Quite possibly the best breakfast we've ever had. On our second visit, we even recognized some familiar faces from the day before--clearly, we weren't the only ones hooked! If you're anywhere near this place, don't miss the chance to stop in. We had a wonderful breakfast at Tasty Biscuit this morning! I got the barbacoa skillet with scrambled eggs and pancakes and my husband got the Tex Mex Pollo Loco. The food was so good. We particularly loved the biscuit and barbacoa from mine and the gravy in his. Another cool thing is their extensive coffee bar - we got a cappuccino and a hazelnut latte. But there are so many choices to pick from! The service was so great- our server Jess, was so attentive and personable! Disappointed Again -- Don't Waste Your Time We've given this restaurant multiple chances to improve, hoping the food and service would finally meet even basic expectations. Sadly, nothing has changed. To make this experience for them, we ordered two Carolina Benedict breakfasts, when the food arrived it looked like something more suited for livestock than paying customers -- a complete mess in both presentation and a brief taste. Immediately speaking with manager, who said he saw absolutely nothing wrong with the food. We Immediately left leaving full plates of food on table. I met a friend here for breakfast, and had a very positive experience all around. We were greated, and seated promptly. The waitress was there in a flash. Soon we were sippung coffee and chatting while pursuing the extensive menu. My friend ordered ham, scrambled eggs, and a couple biscuits, and coffee. I was surprised when his meal came out, the ham was a large thick slice of ham. He raved about the ham, and the bicuits. I ordered a Mountain Peak Skillet. It came with larger pieces of mushrooms, caramelized onions, spinach, and hickory smoked bacon plus chedder. Oh my, that bacon and the fact that the veggies weren't just finely chopped made this a meal to remember. Yhe biscuits are good, but the Mountain Peak was spectacular. Giving this place a 3 star rating to average out my husband and my own thoughts on it. They have a very large menu & I would like to try more items. I ordered a specialty coffee that was quite good. I also ordered an omelette and hashbrowns. I loved that the hashbrowns were crispy, but my husband complained that they were some of the most tasteless hashbrowns he'd ever had. The omelette was just ok. He ordered the chicken & waffle stack - liked the fried chicken but wasn't a fan of the waffle. 2 non-food related things: I noticed an employee left the restaurant crying - kind of had me concerned about how they treat their employees. Also I noticed who I presumed to be the owner going around to all the tables, but he never came to ours. This place surprised me! Hefty portions. Pancakes had great texture. Soft and fluffy. Food cooked to perfection per your specifications. Good quality of food. Hot chocolate is good and didn't taste like the fake packaged hot chocolate. Chopped steak seasoned to perfection. Steak skillet good with good quality steak. Service is amazing. I watched as they cleaned the tables quickly and even the seats. Would definitely return. Hope they stay great. Almost gave a 5 but I felt they needed to add some special out of the world dishes to their menu. Better than most breakfast spots I have been to as of late. read more
