Solid Sandwich. Normal sandwich, good bread. Nothing to make it excellent, but there is nothing below average.

Cafe Rosso is a nice little spot on the SFSU campus, where one could get a variety of snacks, sandwiches, and drinks. This time, I simply got the hot cocoa with oat milk and sat in their lovely outdoor area.

Sometimes I would come here in between my classes to grab a bite to eat. I ordered spaghetti pasta with garlic bread. It's great that they give big portions! Makes it worth the money for a college student like me haha! The pasta is okay but it's all good because it fills you up! The garlic bread is good depending on the day. Sometimes it's a little stale and sometimes it's toasty. The workers are also really nice. I would come back if I don't wanna walk to the ccsc and if I wanna get something to eat!

Ordered veggie bagel. Got salmon instead.

I'm not on campus often but when I am and need food, I usually come here. Average food but better than the other places on campus. Today I ordered my usual bagel special #8: pesto, sprouts, roasted red peppers, and tomatoes. Instead I got sprouts with cream cheese and smoked salmon. If I were a normal person, I would consider myself lucky that I got a more expensive bagel than what I paid. But I'm not and I hate seafood so instead I am disappointed and going hungry today.

The lines maybe long here but it's worth the wait if you want you B.L.T.A . you get to pick what bread you want and its' best for you to eat it when it's still warm. Their bagels on the other hand are kind of small. They used to give generous portions but maybe it was a different person making it back then. You just have to try their B.L.T.A because it's the best i've ever had!

I came here for a latte, and it was very tasty, and delivered quickly as well. The seating area next to the cafe is very enjoyable!

I've introduced so many friends to the hojicha einspanner and everyone loves it too! Even though Diamond has multiple locations, this is the only one that serves hojicha. I hope the other locations will add hojicha to their menus too. But what stands out the most to me is the einspanner. It's unbelievably yummy; it's thick, fluffy, and tastes like marshmallows! I could honestly eat a whole bucket of it! The hojicha itself is a little on the lighter side, but it still has a delicious nutty flavor that pairs perfectly with the einspanner. Once it's all mixed together, the balance of nuttiness and sweetness is perfect. The space is super cute and has a cozy camping theme. Most of the seating consists of camping chairs and tables that really tie into the aesthetic, so there are only a few tables that are ideal for studying or getting work done. It's definitely a fun spot to hang out and catch up with friends. I also love all the little tributes to the owners' dog, Diamond. You'll find little touches of Diamond everywhere--from the napkins and cup holders to the free stickers. I highly recommend stopping by and trying the hojicha eispanner. It's the reason I keep coming back! (My brother got the matcha einspanner but idk what he thought of it)

There is also some places are where you can just camp out and relax and enjoy a cup of matcha in the city. So I cross Ocean Avenue for the quest of getting matcha for Don Juan La Matcha at Diamond Coffee N' Pastry. On an Ocean stroll to Ocean Avenue in SF I landed at Diamond Coffee N' Pastry. Inside it looks like I was a camp site but it reminded me more of glamp site. So I tried the cheese and turkey pastry which is as not too cheesy but a bit flakey like some in SF. Don Juan de la matcha had to get the matcha latte. It was not too sweet and it was smooth and tasty. This is a good pit stop and hidden gem called Diamond Coffee N' Pastry on Ocean Avenue. Matcha is Don Juan De La matcha the new magic "potion "with the many different flavor "explosion "with many added flavors are in "motion "and there is place you can catch the matcha wave it's a Diamond on "Ocean" The atmosphere feels like you are in the woods in a "camp"more like you went to "glamp "the decor you see lots of plants along with a "lamp"and once you get a taste of the matcha you are feeling "amp"

You've got thick-cut turkey, crispy bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, all stacked between toasted bread. Good balance across the board. Nothing is overpowering, everything plays its role. The avocado adds some creaminess, bacon brings the salt and crunch, and the turkey is sliced thick enough to actually feel like something. Bread is nicely toasted. Holds everything together without getting in the way, which is key for a sandwich like this. It's not trying to reinvent anything, just a well-executed classic. This spot has a real neighborhood vibe, in a good way. Plenty of patio seating and dog friendly. Steps away from one of the city's best oceanside walks. Not bad, right? Would run this back for a quick lunch if I'm in the area, but really hard to compete w the other incredible sandwich options in SF, so wouldn't go out of my way to come back. With that said, you should definitely give the place a try if you've never been.

As fans of Java Beach Cafe, all of us had been aware of this sister location yet, somehow, none of us had actually stopped in before. So, even though we hadn't actually planned on it, we were all more than happy to finally stop in! Inside, the decor and vibe of this place looks so much like their original spot on Judah - wood-laden interior with some counter seats and dated posters and decorations that give it a warm and cozy vibe. Plus, it's awesome how they have a fair amount of seating inside and about a half dozen patio tables outside, which is perfect for those sunny and breezy days out here by the beach. Similarly, the menu here is nearly identical, with the same collection of espressos, coffees, teas, pastries, breakfast burritos, sandwiches, and beers, but with the addition of soft serve, shakes, and floats, which I don't recall seeing at their spot on Judah/La Playa. -- TSUNAMI HOT SUB with Ham, Salami, Mortadella, Choice of Cheese (Swiss), Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Mayo, Mustard, and Special Sauce on Choice of Roll (French Roll)...$18.75 Not quite as good as how I remember it, but still pretty solid. The mix of meats was still just as delicious and they didn't skimp on the portion nor their "special sauce" (Italian dressing?). That said, I didn't like this French roll as much, as it was a lot thicker and harder. -- ARNOLD PALMER...$7.25 (16oz) I liked this so much at their original location, I couldn't resist getting it here and, thankfully, it was just as good. Not only was there an even ratio of iced tea to lemonade, but the taste of this was so well balanced - not overly sweet nor tart or bitter. As far as service goes, just like at their sister location, all of the workers here are so nice and friendly. They warmly greeted everyone that came in and got our orders out relatively fast. What's more, the vibes here feel a bit more chill and relaxed by comparison. Maybe it's because you don't have the N-Judah line right outside, but it seemed a bit more peaceful with a nice mix of customers - from folks quietly working and reading to families stopping in for a bite on their way to/from the zoo. Overall, as much as I enjoyed my visit to this Java Beach, I feel like I'd be remiss not to acknowledge that the prices here do trend higher than what you might expect to find elsewhere. Nothing egregious or anything, but I can't say I expected my lunch was going to cost $26 (before tip) either. Given that, despite how much I genuinely like Java Beach, I'd probably be more inclined to come back when I'm looking to post up to do some work rather than strictly just to get a bite. Unless it's to check out their soft serve floats, shakes, or one of their specialty coffees, which all looked so interesting! All in all, THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.
