I stopped in for lunch and ordered a carnitas super burrito which was not at all expensive. I walked outside to make a quick telephone call, and the employees had everything bagged and readdy to go when I returned. I paid $16.35 after tax and tip and it came with a bag of chips and some salsa. The burrito was huge and one of the better ones I've had in a while. It was so big I cut it in two and save half for diner. I definitely would have lapsed into a food coma if I ate the whole thing. It was filled with rice, beans, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and some tasty carnitas. The chips were fresh, crisp, and nice light brown color to them. They gave me a red and a green salsa which were loaded with fresh ingredients and a little spicy. I wish I had more of that salsa, I enjoyged every bite. This is definitely one I want to revisit the next time I'm in town.

Ordered the pupusa taco with asada and their empanada de leche. The pupusa was flavorful, and the empanada was like a warm hug from the inside (which was still warm at the end of the meal even though I took about half an hour to finish my main). You can tell they put a lot of care into their food and their customers. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area.

Instead of being thin and yummy, they were basically the same size as a burrito but filled with only meat and cheese- not what you'd normally expect from a quesadilla. Service is always super fast. Usually I can place an order and it's ready for pickup in 10 minutes. Even on busy Taco Tuesdays, it's still pretty quick. My husband and I love Los Gallos so much, we eat here almost once per week!

No longer Rafa's - hasn't been for a year or so - but still a Mexican Restaurant - and for my money - offers much better fare now than when it was Rafa's. There are large screen TV's often with sports events blaring - so if this isn't your cup o' tequila, you might order to go - or just sit at one of the outside tables. The mole here is excellent - not overly sweet, with just the right amount of chocolate flavor & spice. The tamales are very good - they know how to prepare the masa dough so the texture & flavor is just right and the tamales are moist & soft. The fish tacos are quite good too.
