However, we of course had to review the coffee as they had very interesting options. Cafe Santo is a Mexican inspired cafe with Mexican food and coffee selection. We ordered their hot Oaxacan Mocha with oatmilk. This drink was enjoyable hot as they use cocoa to add the chocolatey flavor. This drink was very subtle in sweetness and had a more bitter chocolate taste along with the coffee flavor. But overall, this was a pretty decent drink! We also ordered an iced Arroz Tatemado Latte with oatmilk. This drink sounded like an horchata but had the name due to roasting the rice. In truth, the drink was not entirely wowing. It had a heavy taste of cinnamon and that was pretty much it. We didn't really taste anything else but milk and cinnamon with the espresso taste. So we were unfortunately not impressed with this coffee. However, their food is DELICIOUS! They have plenty of food and pastries to choose from. We ordered their chilaquiles, and they had so much flavor and were perfectly spicy that it left us wanting more! Their chilaquiles are a must!!! Overall, the location and setup was pretty and they received a lot of attention as their food has great flavor. They always had a line. But because coffee may not be the main focus, we were not entirely galvanized by the coffee drinks we had. But don't let our opinion debunk Cafe Santo! Let us know what you tried! read more

Yep yep yep - Delicious! I had the matcha with ginger beer and lemon. It was refreshing and left me wanting more! I also bought the espresso brownie and unfortunately I didn't eat it until I got back to Arizona AND it was too late to buy another! The brownie was moist and melt in your mouth good! I was hoping to like this spot but it was very mid; if I had order just lattes it would be good but to order there specialty lattes, then lack flavor was just a miss. My friend had gotten the ICED OAXACAN MOCHA, and it was ok, like do you when you put choco powder and if it doesn't mix well there's clumps of chocolate, it was kinda like that. I came to Cafe Santo for the first time on a Saturday while they were very busy. While wait times were slightly longer it was understandable because of the volume of orders coming in. The young lady taking orders, I believe her name was Kate was very sweet and knowledgeable about the coffee menu. She recommended the Semi Amargo with a shot of espresso. Coffee and food were absolutely delicious and overall vibe was incredible. I felt very accommodated with the staff constantly checking in and offering water while I wait. Super fast service, I did notice more outside seating which makes a great outing with friends/family. Plenty of street parking (free) and across the street there is a free lot as well. Really cute shop located in a small food hall area. Street parking only. I would park on a side street as people drove very fast on the Main Street. Cafe front is facing the street. They have lots of seating in the patio behind and some set up in front. Tried: Vanilla latte - too milky for me Triple espresso latte - perfect! Three shots has the best balance. $1.50 extra for one extra shot of espresso is fairly $$. (standard latte comes with two, but it really needs three). Drinks were around $6 each which is the usual rate. They had other speciality drinks but I'm not really a fan of mocha so I didn't try. I'd be back if I was in the area again. I also tried the chilaquiles which is something that I try in a lot of places. The actual tortilla chip itself might be one of the best I have ever had in chilaquiles. A quick google search led me here as I was waiting for my mom to get out of surgery and wanted to eat near the hospital. It was a four minute drive! Every time I try to give them a chance, the cashier is extremely rude. I have been here more than 10 times since they opened and this last time I didn't even end up ordering because I asked a simple question and got a weird attitude from the lady taking orders. The coffee here isn't great, and the food is nothing special either for them to act like they are the only place to buy from. I was very pleased to see that they wait to add your ice until you come to the pick up window unlike other establishments. The place is very cute and quaint, with a minimalist design- given its a window out of a shipping container. The only downside was when someone swiped my drinks from the window as I was purchasing a pastry, which seems to be quite common amongst another reviewer. they were quick to remake my order for me given that incident which was also nice. Came here at 9 am on a Tuesday morning and the place had a decent amount of customers already. There's seating in front of the shop, near the curb, and also behind. We got 2 drinks and 2 food items: Chai latte ($5.50) Matcha latte ($6.00) Veggie Burrito ($10.50) French toast ($13.50) We waited roughly 10-15 minutes for the food and drinks. The drinks came out first and first impression was that they weren't hot but lukewarm. The matcha latte tasted powdery and watered down. So the matcha powder itself wasn't properly mixed with the liquid and not enough was used to give it the proper matcha taste. The burrito itself was a bit disappointing in size considering it was $10.50 for the burrito and you're not able to add or substitute ingredients since they're premade. It came with salsa on the side that helped add flavor to the burrito. The French toast was a nice size and tasted good. There was a good amount of fruits provided with the toast. There was syrup on the side for the French toast and it was topped with some melted butter. This item was probably the only thing out of everything purchased that was worth the price. Personally I would not be coming back here again. Their menu is pretty limited as well with a couple of things marked off their menu. read more

We stopped by after hearing about this place on TikTok. I was happy to hear the owner was oaxaqueño so we had to support. I got the iced arroz tatemado (I think that was the name) and my bf got the hot Oaxacan mocha. My drink was amazing! The Oaxacan mocha was as authentic as it gets! Such a chill morning coffee spot with a very distinct aesthetic! Made a special stop on the way home, since it's not everyday you hear about a Oaxacan coffee shop in LA. Of course, I had to get their Oaxacan Mocha (iced) - which is blended with almonds and cinnamon according to their menu. Very good and reasonably priced at $6. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, as it was not too sweet and the coffee taste was still present! Wouldn't modify the sweetness level at all. I will say a quick warning to anyone expecting it to be like a usual mocha, since it's Oaxacan chocolate, anticipate for it to be a bit grainy. The barista/cashier was friendly and told him to let him know if I have any questions which I always appreciate.
