I have been a wednesday regular for a few months. Overall, i had good experience. The restaurant clears out an area for Salsa/Bachata dancing. The staffs are accommodating. So far, i dont have a bad thing to say about the establishment

I stopped at Cafe Sevilla in Costa Mesa to make time and avoid traffic. I have been at Cafe Sevilla in San Diego multiple times, but this was my first time in this location. The Sangria Royal with liquor 43 is fantastic! The grilled octopus Romesco was excellent. The croquettes and the patatas bravas were okay. I love Spanish food! Service was friendly and on point. Mia made me feel welcomed. It is nice that there is a big parking structure. This location also has the flamenco show every other Saturday. That is always si much fun. I will definitely return with family to enjoy a full dinner sometime.

We came here with some friends who were visiting from out of town. I really liked the vibe, and I thought the restaurant itself was really pretty. However, I don't think I would come here again. They sat us at the smallest table known to mankind. The table would have barely comfortably have fit 2 - let alone 4. We are big foodies so we like to order a little of everything, and we were not able to do so. The table only fit 3 appetizers. We could not even order our food until we were done because we would have had nowhere to put it. We ordered another appetizer and asked the server if we could be moved to a bigger table in the main room. Luckily they were able to accommodate us, and we felt like we could actually breathe and enjoy our food. The food was really good - do NOT skip the kalamata fresh load. It was some of the best bread I have ever had. The paella was mid. The braised short rib was also just okay. They had live music playing which was nice. The prices are high but you're paying for an experience. Don't expect to come here for a quiet date night, come if you want to sing and dance and be in the middle of a party!

I use to love coming here. Even have celebrated birthdays here but I just came on Thursday for the half off tapas all night and was confused when I got the bill and it was all full price. Then I showed the bartender the website that states half off tapas all night Wednesday and Thursday so they should honor what they post. He then went to talk to someone and when I got the bill again only some tapas were discounted. I didn't want to continue arguing with him so I just paid and still tipped 20% but definitely not coming back anymore.

3/4 stars depending on what you're coming here for. Service was good albeit a little slow. Hosts didn't seem that welcoming but it could've been because it was a slow Sunday lunch. The bad first. Papas - first time I've had soggy / plain pattatas a la brava. You're supposed to get a good crunch and some zing with this dish. Dates - too much cheese and it's too sweet. Should be complimentary but both of the flavors were overwhelming. Boquerones- not enough vinegar flavor. Wish it was more fish less bread / other elements going on. The good! Great deal on paella and it was awesome being able to make it spicy AND black. Olive loaf is also solid. Everything else was okay. Awesome decor and setting.

Food was amazing. Happy hour deals are really good too. Got a watermelon marg and the queso thing. Shrimp was also great! We sat outside while the sun was setting and got to watch all the fires being lit for nighttime and it was such a great date spot. Super comfy seating. Our server Tee was a delight. She was so fun and helped with ordering. Checked in on us the perfect amount. Thanks Tee!

Amazing date night spot! They have a great happy hour menu/deal even on the weekends. We got 4 tapas and 2 chicken tacos that were delicious and the perfect amount of food and brought out so fast (which was great because we showed up starving). The live music and photographer were the cherries on top of an amazing dinnerCan't wait to go back and try more dishes, literally every single thing we got was amazing especially the queso fundido!

I was invited for a bday party and for a table of 14 I think it was and we were sat outside at the table with a built in fireplace. Our servers were Isaac and Mia. They did great in managing our table requests. I got a variety of tapas to share as well as a dinner for two to share amongst the people in my area. The pulpo, the beef empanadas, the gambas al ajillo, the paella valenciana, the salchichas, croquetas, and the ceviche were all really good. Paired the food with a smoked old fashioned and a Latin old fashioned. Both really strong but tasty. Finished the night off with some dancing inside. I didn't want my flash to keep going off so pics aren't the greatest

Enjoyed dinner with a friend here recently for my birthday (several weeks after). Neither of us had ever been before so we weren't familiar with the items or flavors on the tapas menu. Our waiter was very friendly and explained the half off tapas special--loved that it was available on a Sat evening. I ordered 3 tapas plates and a margarita. And, I left with 2 leftover containers. My friend ordered several tapas plates and yes, she had leftovers also. We kept saying how great the flavors were. I really loved the food. My friend loved it so much she was back with another friend a few weeks after that. Highly recommend!

TLDR; top tier service, decent 1/2 price tapas, note the 4% surcharge on credit cards First I want to say when we first came we sat outside. Right when food started coming out it started drizzling, and our waiter moved our entire setup inside. It promptly started pouring. Amazing service!! The food is decent, though on the salty side. The brussel sprouts were my favorite, followed by the chorizo. Lamb sliders were great too -- the octopus was waaay too overcooked though so it got really chewy; that made me a bit sad since that is usually my favorite dish. I sat both inside and outside and I loved both seating areas. Would come again to try the paella!

Our food also came out fairly quickly, which I appreciated. I started with the Vaca Tonic which was delicious. For food, the standout was the La Bola -- a crispy potato ball with flavorful ground meat inside. I'd come back just for that. The scallops, however, were just okay. They were very small for "sea" or "diver" scallops, and the menu didn't specify what kind they were. The sauce was fine but nothing memorable. I was most excited for the wagyu oyster cut steak and ordered it medium, but it arrived more rare than expected and was surprisingly chewy rather than tender. Overall, the experience didn't quite live up to the hype for me. I love tapas, but this spot fell short.

When booking, I had the option of dining , chef's table, or patio seating. I specifically chose the dining since my daughter loves creating content, and the indoor ambiance is absolutely beautiful for photos. The hostess seated us on the patio, and I mentioned that I had selected dining. I was told that seating is based on first availability, which was a little disappointing, especially since the restaurant is right on the water and by 7:30 PM it was getting pretty chilly. While they do have heaters outside, sitting in gusty winds with the smell of gas (especially after a fresh trip to the hairdresser!) just wasn't ideal. My daughter went back to the car to grab a blanket. Thankfully, the hostess noticed my discomfort and came back shortly after saying, "Donna, we have another table further down that's out of the wind and under a heat lamp." That small gesture made a big difference, and honestly, that's when the experience started to turn around. From there, things only got better. When our entrées arrived, our waiter Nick realized we had never received our appetizers. Without hesitation, he assured us he would make it right, and he absolutely did. He brought out a selection of cheeses for us to sample, which led to us ordering a caviar bump paired with champagne (highly recommend!). To top it all off, he surprised my daughter with olive cake and fresh berries to celebrate her birthday. Such a thoughtful touch. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Not just because the food was amazing, but because of the attention to detail and how seriously they take the overall dining experience. Parking is available in a nearby garage, and they validate the first 90 minutes, which is a nice bonus.

Yesterday, I came here for my birthday lunch with my mom after she made a reservation, and honestly, I wish we had just gone somewhere else. We sat down right at our 1:00 reservation and then waited 35 minutes just to get a drink menu. Not food. Not to order. Just the menu for drinks. After we finally ordered, the champagne showed up about 20 minutes later. It was served in wine glasses, which feels like basic wine bar knowledge, but apparently not here. When we asked to switch them to champagne glasses, the waiter brought out smaller wine glasses. Not exactly good etiquette for a place that leans so heavily on its bar concept. The whipped ricotta appetizer came out even later, around the 65 minute mark. As an appetizer. It was fine, probably the best thing we had, but "fine" after that kind of wait is not a positive. From there, everything just dragged. It took almost an hour for my mom's meatballs to come out, and when they did, they were raw. Not slightly underdone. Fully pink in the middle. She sent them back and was so turned off she didn't even want to eat anything else. I ordered a salad and specifically asked for light dressing. What I got was the opposite. It was drenched in a thick, heavy dressing that made the whole thing borderline inedible and the lettuce soggy. After our food, I tried to order drip coffee, which they didn't have, so I settled for an Americano. I asked for warm cream, which I've had done at plenty of places, and somehow it came out clotted. If you know anything about coffee, that shouldn't happen. At this point, we had been there for over two and a half hours. For a salad, an appetizer, and four raw meatballs. The server was very nice and doing his best with being busy. BUT, the overall operation felt completely disorganized and untrained. We weren't the only ones either. The couple next to us was also complaining after waiting 40 minutes just to order breakfast items. To make it even better, parking is only comped for 90 minutes. So because of their slow service, we ended up paying for parking on top of overpriced, underwhelming food. What should have been a 45 minute lunch turned into a 2.5 hour ordeal. The bathroom also wasn't clean either time I went, which pretty much sums up the lack of attention to detail across the board. The only slightly redeeming part was the crème brûlée, which was... fine. Not amazing. Just fine. It's a pretty space. I'll give them that. But that's about where the positives end. The food is not good, the timing is unacceptable, and the whole experience feels like Instagram style over quality and substance. Definitely not worth the money, and not somewhere I'd ever go back to.

The batter for the fish and chips is so good, but the fish was a bit dry. I would def come back for the lobster roll. Lobster was fresh and the brioche bun was buttery! The lobster roll was def the high light! The ambiance was nice! Def a cute date spot for couple to go on a night out. Service was a bit slow for how empty the restaurant was.

Definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots - made it into my top 5 (in terms of food and…read morelocation, at least)! Love the casual vibe of this place. It's waterfront and can be accessed via the boardwalk (it's behind the street-side shops). Parking can be tough and very expensive - you'll likely have to park in the structure and walk over. Make sure to take your ticket with you for validation. Seating is available inside and outside on their covered patio. Plenty of space for parties of all sizes. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to make a same-day reservation for a Sunday afternoon. They had plenty of open seating even when we got there. Tables were very dirty. They have a lot of work to do - it seems like months if not years of food, dust, and salty moist air mixed together and collected in the creases in the tables, on the walls, etc.. It's like a sticky gross residue that never gets completely clean. Many people like to dress nice in the area but honestly I would hate to wear something nice here out of fear it would get dirty. We also required new plates as ours had old food stuck to them. Service was not great. Our waiter was somewhat attentive but not nice - the poor guy seemed miserable like he hated his job and did not want to be there. Despite the restaurant being full, he wouldn't come by often when we actually needed something - he even disappeared towards the end and a new waiter had to help us. Food is delicious. Besides the location, their saving grace. We tried the sandwiches and yummy! Fries were also delicious with the spicy mayo. Love the different options they have, overall. They also had some great looking food on the brunch and drinks section of the menu. You can scan the QR code at the table to see pictures of each menu item. Overall was good and we'll be back every once in a while because we love Lido. Will try sitting inside in hopes the tables are decent. Really hope management makes some improvements though!

However, today's service was so bad to the point that I been waving my hands and making eye contact to order for 15-20 minutes. And they were actually ignore us. Maybe we didn't dress decent enough for them to serve us since we were in our regular jean and tshirt. So I have to actually speak up and call them to order. So when we get to order, it was 10:20pm already. After the foods are brought out, we had a decent dinner together and they are about to close. So one of the server brought out the check for us to pay and we decided to pay with exact amount with cash and leave tip in cash also. One of the server genuinely SMIRKED at us while counting the money. Like he looked at us and SMIRKED. He probably has a bad day or a busy day but still, it's a Tuesday. So instead of a nice dinner and a good nap, we had a really bad close of the day because of service at Zinque. So if you want food at night, you can come to Zinque but don't expect too much for the services recently, since it was SO MUCH BETTER back then until today.

We stopped by here on my birthday for a nice evening dinner. Got there a little before sunset. There's just something magical about eating outside during a sunset, especially at the Orange Plaza. The restaurant has such a cool look and vibe! We started off with the Hamachi crudo, salmon ceviche, and a bowl of clam "chowdah". The crudo was absolutely delicious, highly recommend. The salmon ceviche was really good but a bit heavy on the sauce for me. The clam chowder had whole clams in the shell throughout. That was fun to pick them out! For entrees we got the lean and mean plate with sea bass. It comes with salad and rice, we substituted the rice for black beans. We also got the skirt steak "bulgogi" which was served on top of mushrooms and bok choy with a sweet soy sauce. They accidentally brought out salmon instead of sea bass, but were very apologetic. They brought out a sea bass on the side and comped the entree to make up for it. Great service right there! The salmon and seabass were both delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was tender and juicy, full of flavor. As a birthday gift they brought out a thai milk tea blondie sundae which was soooo good! Get it if you like sweets. I wish the owners all the best in their future endeavors, they created a great restaurant that many will miss. Thanks to all the servers, hostesses, cooks, and bussers as well for making my birthday dinner so special!
