What a great spot tucked away in the UTC mall, really transports you to Spain. We sat in the patio section; tables were nice light wood, and we were surrounded by vegetation, giving off a very farm to table vibe. The mocktails were refreshing and balanced!!I was so glad they weren't to sweet. We indulged in the Sierra Sunset, which came on a light up coaster showing off the sunset colors. And also the Lychee's & Cream, which was my favorite. I think it was the use of the kaffir yogurt that really balanced the mocktail and set it apart. The tapas we had were the Salmon Tartar, Patatas Bravas (add crispy Jamon), and Wagyu Empanadas. The citru notes in the salmon tartar really made this dish sing to me; bouncing off the creaminess of the avocado mouse and the richness of the salmon, then finishing with the crunch of the tostada. The Patatas Bravas were nice and crispy, and toped with a creamy aoil then a spicy Bravas sauce with added a nice spice and depth to the dish. However, adding the crispy Jamon is definitely the way to go if you order this dish!! Those Wagyu Empanadas were just the right ratio of meat to dough. Then those Manchego cheese cracker not only are a nice crunch, but also bring a nuttiness that balances the richness of the meat and that succulent mole sauce. Next was the burrata bowl, another favorite of mine. This must have been a whole burrata ball spread out and topped with cherry tomatoes an herbal basil sauce and crunchy kale chips. They even have us some tostada chips to dip in this delicious burrata bowl. They have a whole pallela section under the main dishes, so of course we had to try this out. We went with the Paella Negra; squid ink, gulf shrimp, clams, scallops and broccolini, and of course we added the Iberian ham. This was so decadent and delicious. Definitely recommend topping it off with a squeeze of the lemon they provide you with, it complements the dish. The corrners of the rice were nice and crispy, while the center remind fluffy. Shrimp were cooked to perfection, the dolops of aoli complemented the side ink rice. The addition of the Iberian ham really brought a smokey and salty addition to this dish. To end the night we decided to indulge in the desert trio, this included churros, an orange Mochi, torrija and ice cream. The orange Mochi was light and delicious and definitely and Instagram-able dish. But the one that stole the show for me, was the torrija. Something I had never had before, nice rich brioche style pastry filled with a passion fruit cream. read more

It's been awhile since we had this visit. But I remember really enjoying it. I had been to the one in Los Angeles. Which was good. But this experience surpassed that for sure. My fiancé and I came on Valentine's Day, on a whim, on our way to a show. Not knowing how crazy and packed the place would actually be. We went up to the hostess and explained the situation, and at first it was an "impossible." But the hostess or manager (I think her name was Mariate or something similar), somehow made it work. There was a table next door to the entrance, that I'm assuming they didn't really use because of placement. But she was able to seat us there at the perfect time. Super grateful for that! Our waiter, I think Alvaro, was really nice. He explained the menu and had different recommendations. We got a few speciality cocktails. And tried the Sangria flight (my personal fave, must try them all!) I got the spicy tuna tacos and garlic shrimp plate. My fiancé is vegan, so I'm not sure what he got but I remember he really liked it! The decor inside is beautiful. The location is great. All the staff was kind. And I love that you can see the kitchen and everything being cooked from inside the dining room! It's pricier for tapas, but authentic and perfect for a nice night out. My experience was not great, and rhe food was okay. Management and our server were not attentive with us, our service seemed very rushed. Our server seemed agitated when we asked his a food suggestion. We had to repeatedly ask for various items like straws, napkins, small plates for shareable food. Our food didn't have any of the garnishment like the ones pictured on this app. We didn't realize it until the table next to us ordered the same item that looked really good, turns out we had the same dish just sans the additional flavor garnishment. They were rushing us to the point, we received the check without them checking to see if we wanted dessert. Turns out we didn't so she took the check back and added an additional drink and dessert. What a gorgeous idea to spend a late lunch at Teleferic. We were just thinking of getting Chai latte nearby on this day but I needed more, like a snack, so here we are. Husband and I chose the following tapas: Crab croquetas - served piping hot with a delicately sliced tuna sashimi. Spicy aioli. Love the tender crunch of the croqueta and the rawness of tuna in one bite, those two complemented well. (2 count) Jamón Ibérico de Bellota - 38 month cured. Acorn fed. Lovely presentation and garnished with a simple sprig of rosemary. Mild in taste, perfect with cheese and pan. Pan con Tomate - toasted and dressed with tomato and chives. (4 count) this completed our entire meal. Salmon Tartare - marinated with citrus, on tostada, avocado mayo, radish. 2 count. Manchego plate - not on the menu. Cheese, pistachios, blueberries. (8 slices) great with jamon. His drink - Catalan g+t - Bombay Premiere Cru gin, rosemary, juniper, tonic. Dry, bittersweet Her drink- Ibiza g+t - butterfly pea tea-infused gin, kaffir, orange peel, tonic. aromatic and botanicals. Love. This snack was packed with protein. Came here for my birthday and had an amazing experience! We specifically came here for the Parrón, paella, and the La Flaca bubble drink, and everything was delicious. The food was fantastic, and the service was just as good. One thing that stood out was chatting with the hostess, who had actually moved here from Spain for the job. It added an authentic touch to the experience. The harbor views are beautiful, I was also pleasantly surprised to find out they're dog friendly! My only complaint was the short rib empanadas were $18.00 for 3 very tiny empanadas. They were delicious but very small portion. The other empanadas like the chicken were delicious as well and a little more substantial. The real winner here was the paella . We had the shrimp and pork belly it was the best I have had in Orange County much better the VACA. The ambience was very pleasant and lovely decor. Catalan spot with another LA outpost in Brentwood. Came here with my fiancé and some friends and we had made a reservation in advance. My fiancé is Catalan and can vouch for the authenticity. Paid parking in the garage and it's not validated. Indoor and outdoor dining available. It can be vegetarian-friendly. Definitely share a large paella if you're coming in a group of 4. To start, this place is beautiful and in a great, easy to find location. Our hostess was friendly and very welcoming, along with each of the staff. Overall, the food was good but a bit underwhelming. We ordered the wagyu empanadas which were good but would have loved them to be crispy rather than soft. Additionally we had the Brussel sprouts which were perfect and a must try, the cheese and sauce made it extra delish. For our entree we shared the Paella Negra which had squid ink rice, shrimp, baby clams, baby scallops and broccolini. This dish was tasty but also we just expected more from it. We were asked if we wanted rice that was crunchy and you can scrape off the pan and we said yes but the rice was soft and not at all crunchy. There was 6 large shrimp, 6 small clams and the baby scallops were so tiny we thought they were pieces of garlic. Aside from the big shrimp, you are left with mostly more rice than anything else since the clams and scallops were so tiny. Even with the empanadas and brussel sprouts it was not a lot but I see the potential on each dish. This was also the first night of their new menu so of course there may be an opportunity to adjust some of the food. read more

Teleferic Barcelona is a Spanish restaurant with locations in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Barcelona. Their tapas and sangrias are delicious, and it's a great way to enjoy good food and drink with good company. Service is slower and deliberate, so plan for a longer meal; however, I think it's because tapas and drinks are meant to be enjoyed and savored amongst good company. Prices are quite high; however, a great time to check out the menu is during Dine LA week, which is going on through Friday, February 6. They have $35 and $55 menus that give you a strong sampling of the menu. For what they offer in Dine LA, you'd easily be paying double on any other week. I highly recommend getting a sangria here as it's very flavorful and delicious. If you're coming in a group, definitely get their sangria flight. My wife prefers the spicy sangria and I like the sweeter Sangria Barcelonetta; however, their telerferic sangria is more red wine forward. If you get a paella, then you should ask for a crispy "socarrat" so that you don't get rice with mushy textures. Their seafood was a little underdone for my preferences; therefore, I prefer their pork paellas to their lobster paellas. I think their paella mixta has a nice balance between the textures of pork and seafood. For dessert, I'm not really a fan of their torrija; however, their churros are enjoyable as they're filled with chocolate and caramel. read more

Had a great experience at Telefèric Barcelona Long Beach. The place is beautiful, chic, and has such a nice vibe. The food was amazing, full of flavor, and the presentation made it even more fun. The Ibiza Gin & Tonic and La Flaca with the bubble on top were such cool touches, and the Iberian oyster presentation with the smoke was super entertaining. I really wanted to love this place because I enjoy Spanish cuisine, but unfortunately my first visit had quite a few issues. Ambiance: The ambiance was actually really nice. The space is spacious and the interior is well done, making it a good spot to go with a small group of friends. This was honestly the main reason I didn't rate this place one star. Service: The service, however, was pretty subpar. I had a reservation and arrived a few minutes early. The restaurant was very crowded, which I understand, but we still ended up waiting past our reservation time before being seated. Once we were seated, our server took our order. My husband and I ordered the pork strip steak, wagyu empanada, and pollo empanada. My cousin and her husband ordered the wagyu empanada and the iberico paella. For drinks, my husband ordered a glass of wine, and my cousin and I ordered the sangria flight. We knew the paella would take longer since the menu mentions about a 35-minute cook time, but we ended up waiting almost an hour for our food. When the appetizers came out, they only brought the wagyu empanada and completely forgot the pollo empanada. We asked both the food runner and our server multiple times, and each time we were told, "We'll go check on it" or "We'll look into it." What made it even more frustrating was that the food runner almost brought us someone else's order at one point, which made us think our empanada may have been given to another table. After asking about it 3-4 times and still not receiving it, we eventually asked for it to be removed from the bill. I understand dinner rushes can be hectic, but this shouldn't keep happening. Staff and food runners definitely need better coordination. They also automatically charge an 18% gratuity, which felt a bit much considering the overall experience. And just a heads up -- they do not validate parking, so don't bother asking. Now for the most important part -- the food: Before coming here, we looked this place up and thought the food looked really good, which is why we decided to try it. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. Starting with the empanadas -- the presentation felt unnecessary, and the portion size was extremely small compared to other empanadas I've had. When I think of empanadas, I expect something bigger and more filling, not something the size of a dumpling. It was way too small and not what we were expecting. When our main dishes finally came out, my husband's and my pork strip steak was cold. Not warm -- cold. On top of that, it was very salty. The seasoning was completely overpowering. The paella was also very disappointing. We expected a fluffy bed of rice with the ingredients on top, but instead the rice tasted burnt and overly crispy around the edges, almost like rice chips. The saltiness completely took over the dish. It honestly felt like the rice was left to crisp up before being served. Not the best first experience with paella at all. The only thing we actually enjoyed were the churros. Other than that, the food was very disappointing. I've had my fair share of Spanish food, and this just wasn't it. The seafood/lobster paella was the table fave and the shrimps were also great! Stopped by during LA Dine week and overall it was a decent experience. The restaurant is in a nice location, there is plenty of parking around, and the food was good. The only reason it doesn't get five stars will be explained below. The service started off good considering it was very busy and our waiter did his best to keep us updated on our order. The waiter mentioned they were training new kitchen staff so it was causing a delay which is understandable but we were there for over two hours. He was great but it was slow. The Pan Con Tomate was too tomato forward & bland for me and the bread was borderline burnt which was overpowering at times. The Patatas Bravas were excellent, the tuna tacos were excellent, and both the Lobster & Iberico paella were excellent. The drinks were also excellently crafted, especially the Iberico Sour and the Bryans Legacy. The dessert was also good, in particular the churros. Overall, I wasn't too happy about the service but the waiter explained ahead of time which eased our tension at the table. I will definitely return to give the another go. read more

Not within the same galaxy as Teleferic in Barcelona where we had a good and memorable dinner. But let's dissect this further: Croquetas de Jamon: nothing special Crab Croquetas: these were ok Pulpo: mis-executed, tough very chewy Tuna Tacos: close to Barcelona's Patatas Bravas: ok, too much sauce. The Paellas: Mixta lacked flavor. Rice was undercooked and I don't mean socarrat. It was very dry. Uninteresting. Negra: same as the mixta. Bland. Most of the Paellas went uneaten. Ended up in a to go box. 6 people, waters and 1 sangria. $350+. It was near zero on flavor and any remote sense of value. A soul-less experience. This performance would not fly in Spain long-term. Off the bat what ruined my night was having the check handed over with an 18% "service fee" (aka tip) included automatically for a party of 3. I always tip well (and did this time too) but was very annoyed at having that included when it's not a norm. Now, let's talk food: The $35/pp cost came with 3 appetizers for each: crab croqueta, patatas bravas, and gambaa al ajillo. My favorite was the croqueta and patatas bravas which were both extremely tasty. Next up, we opted for the Paella Mixta. We ended up getting 1 between the three of us. It was decent portion however, didn't like that it had very little pork belly (literally 4 tiny pieces). I was honored to be a guest to my friend's yelp invite. We received complementary sangrias of choice, ham croquettes, and patatas bravas. We decided to add spanish albondigas as well. For sangrias, we chose the mocktail version of the barceloneta and it was perfection! Beautiful to look at and just the right level of sweetness. The ham croquettes were appetizing, stuffed and cheesy making them the perfect small bite. The patatas were a little salty but I still enjoyed them. It was a spanish twist to chili cheese fries. The albondigas were the best! I'm so glad we added this to our order. From the sauce that the meatballs laid on and the cheese they hand grated on top, I was very pleased by the combination of flavors. Definitely my favorite of the appetizers. Update on my previous 5 star review. Stopped in with a friend for lunch on a Saturday. It was quite empty and quiet. We sat in the enclosed patio and ordered from their lunch specials. I had the pulpo and the tomato salad. Both were great! What was not great was the service. I recognized some of the staff from my previous visit and, for an empty afternoon, they were not very attentive. But what really struck me was when our bill came- it was twice as much as it should have been. It took awhile for the hostess/server to get to us despite my multiple attempts raising my hand at her. When she came, she literally approached the table saying "did I overcharge you?" When I affirmed she said it was for the other table of four. No apology. Then when she came back with the corrected bill, she said that if there was a problem with the charge, just "come back with the receipt and we will fix it." You must be outside of your mind if you think I am going to take my time to drive back to your establishment because you couldn't figure out how to fix your mistake. This place in the 2nd Street and PCH strip mall in Long Beach is really good. You can use the parking structure and the validate your ticket to up to 2 hrs. Also you can park across the street for free if not a busy day. We felt welcomed and love the hostess's Spanish accent. We ordered a Red Velvet cocktail it was tasty and looked great but the ice ball is too big so seems like there's no much to drink. Appetizers as shown in pics are super delicious but tiny. The was the second teleferic barcelona I've visited and it did not disappoint. The PCH location was spacious and beautifully decorated with indoor and covered seatings. Parking is easy, as it's situated in the 2nd and PCH shopping center/ structure. During the week, the restaurant is pretty empty but they are busy on the weekends. Very chill vibe. Food wise, it's Spanish tapas so family style is highly recommended. My favorite tapas are tuna tacos and patatas bravas. Entree wise the paella is a must (I love the lobster paella but I'm sure other ones are as tasty)- great flavor and not too over powering. It does take time to cook so recommend placing your order early. This is one of my favorites restaurants! This is the closest thing to authentic food from Barcelona. The cocktails and sangria are a must try. They even have a little shop inside where you can buy ingredients to make paella at home. Service was excellent, and the whole staff was friendly. Definitely would go back again to try other food items out. read more
