My hairdresser told me about this place years back and l am so sad I didn't listen to her sooner. There are two locations, both are kind of in the same area of Rhode Island which made it hard to decide on which one to go to. I ended up going twice in the same week to the one in Smithfield, but l am curious to see if quality changes from one location to the other. Anyways, they have a good selection of flavors including: sesame, the works, jalapeno cheddar, three cheese, pepperoni and cheddar, plain, cinnamon sugar, and from what I have seen online, they do offer seasonal flavors which I am very excited for. Each one cost $1.50, or you could get half a dozen for $7.00 and a baker's dozen (13) for $14.00 which is one of the best deals around. The first time I went, I bought a dozen since / was taking them to a brunch and the second time I ordered half a dozen. One thing that immediately sets them apart from other bagel shops I've been to is their attention to detail which I am huge on. When I purchased the dozen, I requested one cinnamon sugar and they wrapped it in parchment paper so the sweetness wouldn't get on any of the other bagels. So far, I have only tasted the jalapeno cheddar and the everything bagel. I love that they're loaded with flavor, the bread is soft, not airy but also doesn't feel too dense, it is not dry, and the dough is slightly elastic-y which I love. I think a good way to measure how good a bagel is is to eat it without toasting it. This one passed with flying colors. The first time I came, l was a little confused as to where this place was because the GPS led me to the back of the building but did find my way after driving around the building. The second time I came here, 1 realized they have a drive-thru window which is very convenient. There were about 4 cars ahead of me, but within 5 minutes I was on my way home. Efficient and delicious! This is my first time inside the shop and I wasn't sure what to get. There were plenty of people to help out and as people came in behind me other staff quickly assisted them so they didn't have to just wait in line for me to figure out what I wanted. That's a huge plus in my book. So many people were served in the 90 seconds it took me to figure out what I wanted. I've been looking for higher protein options and they suggested the low carb everything bagel (only 100 cal) with bacon, egg, and cheese (that was more calories). It's delicious. Cafe Such A Bagel was a staple when I worked in Smithfield and I recently went back to see if it is still as good. It is! I really enjoy their bagels and cream cheese. I have even tried their low-carb bagels and I think they are great! My favorite bagel is the Spinach and Garlic with the garlic parmesan cream cheese. My I always rotate my iced coffee flavor so I can't pick a favorite, but the Maui Madness is really good and so are the Blueberry Coffeecake and Chocolate Covered Strawberry flavors! read more

Had a great customer service experience today! I walked into the café for a bagel and was greeted by Rachel. There were only two bagels left--neither the kind I wanted--so I thanked her and said I'd probably go elsewhere. People have way too much time on their hands to be going home to weigh their bagels and complaining that their bagels was toasted for a sandwich.... guess what that's on YOU for not asking for them to not toast it lol YOU are the odd ball for not wanting it toasted. The bagels are mostly made by 1 machine and it's not a factory pumping them out in back, just look when you're in there. Its a bagel place, not a major office... what do people expect as far as staffing goes? People expect so much and can never put themselves in the shoes of those girls. I've seen customers be SO rude to them in front of everyone at the store. If a bagel shop makes you that upset... just leave and go to DD or SB. SAB will survive without your business and ridiculous complaints. My only complaint is that the coffee is WEAK! PLEASE grind it up smaller. This place succeeds despite its shortcomings and because it's cheaper than Dunkin, Panera and Starbucks, to name a few. Staffed by what seems to be mostly high school girls, the staff is largely clueless about the business or customer service - they're just order takers. The coffee is atrocious. Tasteless brown water from a cheap roast. But some people think it's "amazing and delicious" and even "better than Dunkin, Panera or Starbucks". Seriously? They don't know what good coffee is! The bagels, particularly the low-carb that I like, are pretty good most of the time. The thing that irks me when I buy them, is that they are never consistent in size. Some are so tiny that I have refused to accept them. I complained to the owner. He was dismissive with me. His response? "they are smaller but they weigh the same". BS overdose. How about you get your baker to make them right and consistently or get someone else who can. "Smaller but weigh the same" explained below. Bought half a dozen low-carb bagels for $10.00. At home, measured and weighed them. The tiny bagels measured 3.5" in diameter compared to 4.5" for the regular sized bagels and weighed 2.9 oz. and 3.3 oz., respectively. That's a 12.1% difference in weight. Let's see how much extra profit this "they are smaller but they weigh the same" scheme generates. Six bagels should weigh 19.8 oz. in total. But they weigh only 17.4 oz. The shortfall of 2.4 oz. per 6 bagels is equivalent to paying $11.38 for the bagels (or more, if you buy one dozen). ($10/17.4 oz. = $.575; 19.8 oz. - 17.4 oz. = 2.4 oz.; $.575 x 2.4 oz. = $1.38 Conclusion Join me and let the owner know to take a wholesale look at his business and make it better. This place is a gold mine. They have a drive thru and you can walk in. I love the creativity in their menu and variety, I just wish it was more actively visible through social media with information such as their hours and monthly specials...because they are SO good. I tried one of the August specials and got it every time. This location is NOT closed, and there is another one in Greenville as well which is just as amazing. They have a wide variety of options, and I love the low carb bagels with different kinds of cream cheese and breakfast sandwiches. They are fresh and delicious. I've recommended this place to several people and they all love it. They are consistent and the coffee is delicious. I would come here over Dunkin/Panera any day! read more

I just went through the drive thru with my daughter (who has a under lying condition) and her aunt... kindly asked if I could have 2 chais and they said "you have to send some one and I can make it for you inside" mean while there's no one behind us so it wasn't like anyone had to wait the extra 30 seconds it take to make it...and after I said I had my daughter with me who has an underlying condition they said ok but then I get to the window and the owner mike goes "you could've sent someone in" before even saying hi or asking me how I am....or even giving me my total...in my opinion that is no way to run a business during a global pandemic. read more

Yum. Yum. Yum. A cute little quick-stop that you wouldn't know was in a gas station until you step outside. It even has a drive through. They offer low-carb bagels, which I am not sure is an actual modification to a recipe or just a bagel with more air in it. But, I am watching my figure (f-off peanut gallery), so this is usually my go-to. They also have about 12 different varieties of bagels, which can run out in the late morning. I hear they have pretty good iced coffee, which is reasonably priced. This is only their small stand, and I think they probably get their bagels from their mother store at Smithfield Crossing. Went to the location on GW HWY and ordered a dozen bagels. I was told that I could not order a dozen because "this is all we have for the rest of the day" . I was shocked that a place that predominantly sells bagels could not sell me a dozen at 9:30am on a Saturday morning. I could understand if I asked for 3 dozen. This place is a little hidden gem out in the middle of no where. They offer a ton of different kinds of bagels with both regular or low carb options and a bunch of different flavors of cream cheese. There is not many places that offer low carb bagels never mind the fact that the low carb bagels are better than the regular bagels. During Sunday's Weight Watchers meeting, my friend and I learned that Such-A-Bagel offers a 2 point bagel. Not sure about you, but in the grand scheme of points, THIS IS HUGE!! After the meeting, we immediately drove to the location in Lincoln - very easy to find and convenient to the highway. They have a great assortment of these low-carb bagels and I look forward to trying all their flavors. This morning I tried the first one and it tasted great! I hesitate with low-carb because sometimes you lose the flavor to decrease calories. This was not the case at all! Not only did it taste great, but it made me feel good knowing that I was eating something that wasn't loaded with calories! Was a little skeptical at first glance but this place turned out to be a great find! They offered both regular and low carb bagels with a variety of flavored cream cheese. I got the low carb cinnamon raisin bagel with maple walnut cream cheese - delicious! Staff was very nice and friendly. If anything, I just wish the bagel was toasted a little bit more and that there was more of a variety in bagels. After working across the street for almost 4 years and hearing many great recommendations from coworkers, I made my way over to Such-A-Bagel this morning. I decided to go inside so I could get a better view of the menu and what they offered. Upon entering, it was a bit smaller than I imagined but had a large table full of people, who I could only assume were the morning "regulars." I also noticed that their drive-thru is basically just a radio, they hear what people order and then remember it and make it for them. Their coffee is brewed with their own flavoring, no artificial syrups! They also offer low-carb bagels that are actually quite good. I ordered the low-carb spinach bagel and a large French vanilla iced coffee. I was certainly not disappointed but did find the coffee to be a bit weaker than something like Starbucks. I enjoy supporting local business and they also offer a frequent guests card, after 10 coffee's you get one free. A local secret for flavored iced coffee, New York style bagels and delicious pastries. My favorites here are definitely their blueberry muffins, plain bagels and most of all their coffee. I'm so glad I found this place! Thanks to a friend, I found great coffee that's close by that doesn't charge for credit cards AND has a drive thru! Win-win! The frozen hot chocolate is delicious, and all of the coffee flavors are REAL flavors, not syrups. The smoothies are made with yoghurt (even the frozen hot chocolate) but They do run out of things very early in the day so if you're looking for a specific low-carb bagel and they're out, don't fret, just try another one! She's shorter and younger, and she has an attitude every. single. time. I order. She has rolled her eyes at me ordering something listed on the menu behind her because it's apparently inconvenient for her to have to do her job. The bagels are good, the coffee is fine. I hate to do this because the bagels here are actually wicked good... I went in there this morning and asked for 2 egg whites, turkey sausage, and cheddar on an everything bagel. Pretty simple, right? I even repeated the order multiple times to ensure that it was understood. I took a bite out of the bagel and immediately noticed that this thing tasted funny. I open up the bagel and what I saw next was extremely disturbing. I was given sliced turkey and pork sausage... And, to add insult to injury, only one egg white. I'm sorry but how do you work at a breakfast place and not understand the concept of turkey sausage? I would suggest that you send all of your employees to a month-long boot camp where they will learn about the difference between "turkey sausage" and "turkey, and sausage." I tried this place out on a whim with some coworkers and SOOOO glad we did. I find that the coffee blows dunkin donuts out of the water and the costs are actually cheaper. The sandwiches are packed with yumminess and I love the "question of the day". The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They come up with the best recommendations and have patience when you order as everything is tastey and it takes a second to decide what version of heaven you're having that day. You can tell everythings home made and their pistachio muffin is mouth watering lol. It's hands down my favorite. I would highly recommend trying it out if you haven't already. read more

The coffee and bagels are good however there is some shady stuff going on here. Every time I go I order the same thing and yet I get charged a different amount by a difference of up to 60 cents. I also found out that my boyfriend was in front of me in the drive thru lane and paid for my order. When I pulled up they never mentioned it and still charged me.
