For my birthday, I received a coupon in my email for a free bagel with cream cheese, given I buy a drink. I took.it as a sign to go since I was really craving a bagel with cream cheese for weeks. I came to this location because it's a lot brighter and spacious on the inside, with the tall ceilings, decent sized parking lot, and windows all around. I showed the person at the register the coupon and after a couple attempts, it went through. My friend ordered the fiesta sandwich which is a bagel of your choice with an egg, cheddar cheese, avocado, jalapeño cream cheese, and salsa. I was close to ordering it without salsa since I thought it would be too messy and weird, but it works. I wasn't the greatest fan of the egg, but overall, I think the sandwich was good. The free bagel I choose was asiago with chive cream cheese. I was expecting for it to be stuffed with cream cheese and I would have to take some out, but it actually came with just enough which I was very happy about - I hate seeing extra stuff go to waste. Not sure if they're under new management, but the service has gone way downhill. I had to drive the whole conversation with the counter person and even correct their math on the order. They had no idea about the menu. I usually give grace with this, but they also seemed annoyed with me. Like, if you don't know what you're doing, at least be gracious. The bagels are good but somehow smaller or thinner, not sure. The place seems overall empty with less items available and the cooler shut down. The dining room kinda sad. Like it's just been neglected. Really loud Indian (or any) music at 7:30am is also not the vibe. read more

Compared to the excellent Providence location, the North Providence location is much worse. Customer service was lacking. The cashier seemed annoyed and reluctant to answer simple questions. Then they got the order wrong. I was the only customer, and four staff were working, and yet they gave the wrong bagel. The place is very dirty, particularly the bathroom, which desperately needed to be cleaned. Bagels here are advertised as NY Style and they are ok - A decent size, but not as big as or as chewy as or anywhere near as delicious as a NY Bagel. They do have a good variety of flavors, and gluten free bagels are also available. This location of Providence Bagel has a parking lot, a good amount of indoor seating, and a couple of tables outdoors in the summer. The indoor seating area feels pretty stark - it is fine, but doesn't have the special local flavor that I really like in a cafe. Staff is friendly and helpful, prices are good, and the coffee is good as well. Today I got a creme brule iced coffee, sweet and light, and it was very good. Iced coffee is not available in decaf. I also got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagel was a little dry and could have used more cream cheese, but still ok for the price. In the past, I've gotten bagel sandwiches here - they have a great sandwich menu and that's where Providence Bagel stands out. They do have a drive thru which would be very convenient if you are picking up on the way to work or with kids in the car, and they also have an app to help make ordering easier. read more

I went to PVD bagel for breakfast. I ordered on everything bagel with sausage. My food tasted really good. To me it was just an egg sandwich, but it had that classic breakfast sandwich taste I can't really describe, but there's just something comforting about it. The service was super good. The guy at the counter was friendly. The inside of the storm was clean, and the bagels were clearly displayed. I just wish I could get back to Providence more often. read more

I've been to the North Main Street in Providence, RI location once before and this location is on Mineral Spring Ave in North Providence, RI. The cashier informed us that the RI Food Fights includes a choice of one of the deli sandwiches. I chose The Patriot on a poppy seed bagel and my husband chose The Ham sandwich on a wrap. After waiting about 10 minutes, a staff member came out and called my name with our order. The poppy seed bagel was fresh and The Patriot had Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese, Avocado, & Tomato. Bagels are always solid here. They were out of veggie cream cheese at 9am on a Friday-bummer. But my bagel was toasted well and was delicious-Whole Wheat Everything with plain cream cheese. Okay, a few things. The website needs some work. There's no place (that I saw) to ask them to put the cream cheese on the side. I also ordered online and sent my son to go get it. When he got there, they told him they didn't have the cream cheese I ordered. So he is at the drive-through texting me. My son had wanted chive cream cheese, but they only have vegan choice cream cheese in the website (for and additional $4.29 (almost double the cost of the bagel itself), but it turns out that they DO have chive cream cheese, but it's not in the website. Okay, fine. On the website, I chose "dark toasted," well, I got burnt. Pic attached. It was also the least amount of cream cheese I've ever gotten on a bagel at a bagel place. Some places get a little out of hand with the cream cheese, but there really wasn't enough on this one. I don't know if I got a first day employee making my bagel, but it was pretty rough. And it was also only partially cut, so when I tried to break it in half, I ended up squeezing out a good portion of the small amount of cream cheese that was in it. We placed an order online for pickup.... and still waited 70 minutes to receive it. When we arrived, we were told they were waiting because they were out of cream cheese and wanted to know what it should be substituted for (this was for a sausage egg and cheese, that in fact, does not have cream cheese even on it.) Tried this place for lunch today after going to Savon Shoes which is pretty much next door. The service was friendly although on the slow side. I used to love going here when it first opened. The bagels are still really good it's just the service that is bad. Today we attempted to go there twice and each time took way more than necessary. There were 4 cars in the drive thru and we sat there for 20 minutes with no line movement so we left and came back about an hour later this time attempting inside since there was 1car in the parking lot. Went in to order two bagels as is and a side of cream cheese--easy order. They instead took two other customers after us took care of their orders which required more than ours. Throughout the experience they were all just taking their time laughing and joking which isn't bad, I wouldn't want someone to be miserable at work but they were extremely rude to us handed the bagels to us all rudely. There was another girl there who was coming out of the back from eating something still chewy and not having a care in the world. I could be absolutely fine with waiting especially since they could be short with staffing but to be rude and condescending is just unacceptable. read more

This place has really gone downhill! When they first opened, they had great bagels and Customer Service. That could not be further from the truth at this point. I was excited to get the birthday bagel today and it was stale and there were no sprinkles like advertised. The woman at the counter seemed like she could have cared less about any customers or making sure that she provided good customer service. While I was waiting for my bagel, two people came in from the drive-through who both had messed up orders so seems like things are just really notwhat they once were. I will find another bagel place. I came here for a quick sandwich while killing some time in the area waiting for an appointment. The place was very clean and bright . My sandwich was good. The young man that took care of me was so kind and so patient with me I had no idea what I wanted while I was ordering, but he did not have any frustrations about it. He had a very good energy. I had a french toast bagel. Who knew bagels came in a french toast flavor? I really enjoyed the bagel flavor. I went with a pecan cream cheese. It was not as good as another establishment that I have had but love that this flavor is offered here. Also, it might have been a little much with the french toast but that is my error for being over excited at the options! I walked in and having the indoors closed for Covid issues the staff greeted me and quickly asked if I needed help. It was only open to Yelpers for the event. She offered some advice and my meal was made very quickly then I was on my way. Overall I would give PB a try as a paying patron in the future if I find my way in NP in the am. read more

Update: switching to five stars - thank youuu so much for fixing the alphabet system!! The bags each go on tables instead of shelves and love this!! First time since COVID. Ordering online was easy unlike some places I've encountered. First plus! You can order through drive through as well which is nice. They are strictly curbside. Operating much like if you've been to Panera where they have alphabetical shelves for your orders. Love that they have vegan options and they don't cost you more! Sadly knocking off a star because if you are going to have alphabetical shelves... use them... my initials are M and H.... so why was my meal in the A-G shelf... sorry but def didn't think to look at the wrong shelf while trying to be quick and efficient and wasted half an hour with my meal getting cold.. quite frustrating.
