( I would have paid for the extra sides but then again I wasn't given that option) = UNACCEPTABLE. So I can't sit at a table that has been empty and remained empty the entire time I was there . We had heared a lot about Cafe Talya. and we wanted to go there but we were told wrong about adress. The correct address is "Avenida Padre Antonio Jose dos Anjos, 297 - Brooklin - Sao Paulo - RS - Brazil - 04563-000", just two blocks from Avenida Santo Amaro. There used to be a bakery and patisserie on the same address. We went there last 29th of april and it was a monday, so it was very quiet, some 3 tables inside and another outside, just beside us. Price is fair, everything (temakis) I choose were all but tasty and extremely fresh. Like when one goes to a sushi & sashimi restaurant, one can see them preparing / assembling the pieces at the counter. I drank made in Brazil sake, and then a soft drink. Not expensive, there are some 4 or 5 parking positions just in front of the restaurant. Quiet environment, cozy atmosphere. Staff is not wonderful, but proficient and polite. We ordered two breakfast platters, and both were excellent. The Turkish breakfast platter was a huge portion and absolutely worth it. I especially loved the sausage - it wasn't too salty and had an amazing flavor. The orange juice tasted fresh and wasn't too oversalty. This place is right around the corner from where I live. I've taken several out of town guest here and they all have loved their experience. Suzy and the rest of the staff make you feel like family when you dine here. The prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes will fill you up. My girlfriend and I dropped in here to check in out based on the high reviews, and it's spot on - The staff is super friendly, the food is delicious, and it's soooo inexpensive. My girlfriend got an omelette and iced coffee (with coffee ice cubes!), and I got an iced tea and turkey club and the whole thing was $21 with tip. Definitely will be back. The omelette looked literally like a meal for a 5 year old child that would be served in a preschool. They also pulled a fast one by giving us 3 slice of toast for two omelettes to go. Of course I did not know this until I got home. I mean how petty can one person actually be? In addition the so called rye bread toast was also the worst quality bread I have ever had. It tasted like you were eating styro foam and in the garbage it went as it was simply inedible. My experience here was just miserable and a total waste of money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this ridiculous dump.

Apparently they also have pastries but none were available when we went. For my entree I had the cheese omelet, which came with potatoes. I loved the seasoning of the potatoes! They were cooked really well. The omelet was simple but filling. Unfortunately they were out of matcha so I just had a regular tea instead. They do offer some alternative milks for drinks which is nice. With some extra help this place would be great on a busy weekend day, but otherwise expect to be waiting a bit...
