I came here over the weekend for a private party. There is a small parking lot, but there is plenty of street parking if you walk a block or 2. They also have valet which I would assume parks your car on the street as well. The place itself is cute, but it's small. The party I attended was in the interior of the location (there was another party happening outside). What I didn't like about the interior was that if anyone was dining in there for lunch/dinner, they had to walk through our party room in order to get to their seats. The staff also had to go through our room to get food/drinks to the other diners. There is also only one restroom for women, which there was always a line for. In regard to the food, the appetizers brought out were the crab and strawberry salad, the Asian ribs, and the octopus salad. This was all very good. For the entree I chose the rib eye. It was really good as well, I just wish there had been a little more seasoning, and also I requested medium but it came out more on the well side. For dessert we had the brownies with ice cream, and the Nutella wontons. This was delicious! Overall, I'd recommended this place for a small party or private dinner. Unfortunately this time around our dining experience wasn't that great. The lamb chop appetizers were overcooked as you can see in the photo despite us requesting medium rare. We also ordered the surf and turf burger, but was informed only AFTER they served it that they ran out of Avocado Salsa, which made the burger extremely plain. We then switched it to the bacon cheeseburger, where although the patty was cooked perfectly juicy, the bacon was neither soft nor crispy, just unfortunately hard which detracted from the experience. We also ordered the shrimp scampi and penne vodka casserole, both of which was just okay with the shrimp scampi being on the sour side. It's my third visit here & I was happy with the food & the service. I came with a friend unplanned & wanted to try something different. He got a salad with shrimp & I got the salmon which comes with a salad. I liked the salmon but the salad was quite sweet . I had to add hot sauce to make it less sweet. It's hilarious how I wished to add some chopped chilies into my salad. Christmas decor is quit beautiful & you all know me. Gotta take some pictures. I came here for my girlfriends birthday, with some friends, for a Saturday brunch. This place was very nice. You get some great views of the water. Once we were seated, we ordered a few appetizers to split. We tried the Buffalo chicken wings and the Thai calamari. Both of these items were very delicious. The wings were nice and crispy, and had awesome Buffalo flavor. The ranch dipping sauce made it that much better. The Thai calamari was a nice switch up from the traditional style ones. We enjoyed both of these apps. For my meal, I went with the Steakhouse sandwich. This was sliced grilled steak, with toppings, on a sandwich with curly fries. This was a pretty solid sandwich. It tasted great and hit the spot. I was very satisfied with my meal choice. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Looking for a quick casual business lunch I stumbled upon Blue en route to the Staten Island Ferry. I was not disappointed based on quick/attentive service, spectacular views and robust menu. Starting with the calamari, which maintained the right level of heat and flavor, followed by the salmon. The salmon was tasteful and ample yet not as fresh as I preferred and only reason for 4 stars. The service is outstanding followed by the seafood tower appetizer, to the main courses which included branzino for me and lobster tail with cheese risotto for the wife. The food here is always on point. I arrived and had a drink at the bar. The staff was super friendly and the drink was perfectly made. The bar area was clean and as soon as clients got up from the bar, the bartender Nelson was right there cleaning up. The manager and hostess checked me in before my reservation time. They escorted me to the side room which was a first for me. The windows give you a nice scenic view of passing ships and the railroad track was cool. There is no train service that comes through. The food was amazing. I had the Thai calamari to start. Perfectly fried and seasoned and most importantly fresh. I followed with the chicken sorentino. Two nice sized chicken breasts, fresh eggplant, Italian ham, and cheese cooked in a perfect lemon butter sauce. They brought over homemade mashed potatoes perfectly plated. The waiter was very professional and it overall it was an amazing experience. I finished the night with another drink at the bar. There is plenty of parking, the restaurant is clean, the bathrooms are maintained and clean. It's always a great experience here. read more

Came here on a Saturday night and was sat directly next to a wedding party (at least 20 people/table) and under the blaring heat vent. Only reason they're getting 2 stars is because they kindly moved our table across the room. Then the food comes... every single thing was just BAD. For the money that we spent, it was so not worth it. The filet mignon was not cooked well, the lobster tail was wayyy too salty, the risotto was grainy, the pasta purses were flavorless and the brown sauce that it was in was more like a steak sauce. Recently returned here after a long time, and the place has undergone some impressive updates! The exterior has beautiful new landscaping and awnings, and the back outdoor space is now a sunroom. The staff remains super friendly. Our dinner was a bit delayed, but it was a busy Friday night. We had two appetizers: Thai Calamari and Grilled Octopus, followed by the Tomahawk for two, which was more than enough for us to finish. Everything was fairly good, but the quality didn't quite match our previous experiences on quieter nights. Despite the busy atmosphere affecting the service and food quality, we still believe this place adds great value to the island and our community, so we're maintaining our positive rating. Regarding Yelp, I recently had my Elite status removed after 8 years because I'm a business owner. Despite not being related or affiliated with any food businesses--only a local real estate office in NY--Yelp managers believe a business owner shouldn't be an Elite reviewer. In my opinion, being a business owner shouldn't disqualify someone from providing honest and fair reviews of unrelated businesses. From the minute, we ended the restaurant to the time we left. Everyone was very attentive. The atmosphere was absolutely delightful. The staff was so attentive and charming. The food was delicious and the service was perfect, they checked constantly to make sure everything was well. The appetizer main course dessert all came out. With no reservations on a Saturday evening, the staff were accommodating which I was grateful for. Located at the waterfront, we were seated in the second room facing the water. Beautiful view and room, one can be easily entertained with the boat traffic that passes. Our waiter greeted and served us our beverages quickly along with warm pita bread with olives and grapes in olive oil. Greg, the waiter, gave his insights about the menu along with recommendations in a warm friendly matter. Started off with oysters and ordered two entrees, the bolognese and tuna steak. Our waitress I think her name was Kaitlyn was awesome very engaging and attentive. I had the crab stuffed lobster with risotto. I enjoyed the lobster not the risotto so much. It was my first time having it and I wouldn't order it again. However the waitress was very accommodating asking if I wanted a different side not her fault so I opted out. The crab cake was ok more fried I would have preferred a broiled option and for dessert I had the key lime pie which was delicious. WOW, just WOW!!! I came here for my anniversary dinner. My experience was way better than I ever expected. The pre fixe menu is such a great deal. It is $55 a person and it includes a slice of focaccia bread each, an appetizer each, an entree each, & each a dessert. This is a 4 course meal for $55 per person. You can't beat the value!!! My partner and I each got the rib eye steak. On the regular menu, it is $45 for the same exact size rib eye. On the pre fixe you paid $55 per person. So- for $10 more we got appetizers and desserts. For appetizers we got the fried calamari and the burrata salad. Both of these were absolutely delicious. The rib eyes we had were absolutely phenomenal. The spinach and potatoes in garlic and oil was an amazing side dish. I was disappointed they didn't have mashed potatoes but I ended up liking what I had. The desserts were phenomenal we had tartufo and chocolate mousse. I will definitely be returning to blue for the pre fixe menu. I also had a glass of Riesling which was delicious and not overpriced. $12 for a glass. The owner was very nice and let us take photos outside of the restaurant in the back area. read more

It's like 2.4 stars. First, I will say it's nice that it's on the water and in true Staten Island fashion, there is a view of the water with container ships & tugboats, some fuel storage tanks and what looks like dry bulk storage also and behind that you can see Manhattan. However, they need to install blinds for periods when the sun comes in strong in people's eyes, and possibly fans to regulate temperature better. The music was good. However, the restaurant doesn't smell fresh, and their cleanliness is ehhh - lipstick on wine glasses, silverwear and dishes not particularly clean. Serivce was okay - nice but very slow. If you're with good company maybe that doesn't matter. As for the food, I wasn't really a fan. It wasn't terrible, but it was just okay. The Foccacia bread wasn't very good, but the pita bread and olive tampanade is good. The penne w/vodka was pretty good, although the sauce was rather watery. Carbonara was okay. Crab cake was excellent. NY Strip was fine - overcooked and a bit tough - but it did have a nice flavor to it. Fries were okay, but wish they weren't quite so soft. Nobody in our party really enjoyed the food. Look, I think this a great place for women to go to and drink and have a good time with each other, but it's not really my jam. read more

I think that blue is an excellent restaurant. It has a pretty interior/exterior, and a great view of the water and ships. The food is very high quality and delicious. The have a good selection of seafood and Italian dishes. There is an old train track right outside the outdoor eating section with pretty benches and rocks around the water. Came here with a group of 10 for our December birthdays last Sunday. We had a 2:30 reservation and it wasnt too busy but as time progressed it did pick up. We were unaware that until 3:30 it's usually just Sunday brunch menu but asked about the regular prefix and the lovely waitress took care of it for us. They have a $45 and $55 menu. I took the $45 menu and had some of the best penne vodka i've eaten. For main course had the strip steak and fries. They also bring you family style margarita pizza bread and i could have just eaten that. It also includes a dessert and coffee. You can add on $18 all You can drink sangria for 90 mins. You are right on the water and definitely nicer in the summer when you can sit outside which is covered. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we will come back. Easy parking in the street. I had the seafood pot that includes clams, muscles, shrimps, mushrooms over noodles and a broth. A really good sish, that's surprisingly filling. If I had one complaint, the shrimp was just a bit overcooked. The lobster tail, was ordered by a friend, who said it was really good. Looking at it I confess I was a little jealous. I was here pre covid when it was Mediterranean and I wasn't thrilled. Since then they have morphed into a fantastic beautifully designed amazing food venue. Lunch menu is mostly sandwiches or burgers. We both went off the reg menu which is so diverse you don't know what to order!! Buffalo wings were shared. They were incredibly crunchy and just perfect Crab cake my friend said was good My Thai style calamari was lightly fried but no batter. A great dish is share. Big portion. Thai style is sweet. Decided to come here last minute with friends on Valentine's Day weekend, manager was accommodating and got us a table within 10 mins. Each plate had a napkin folded into a rose. Music was romantic. I am surprised this was my first time here as a I previously lived in Staten Island my whole life. The food was very good here. We had five apps to split definately get the bb ribs and goat cheese wontons. My entree was the lobster tail stuffed with crab meat.
