We are local to this place. Came in with my family for shaved ice and bubble tea. The bubble tea and shaved ice were good. The have a lot of bubble tea options and ways to mix and customize them. Service was good that night we came in, and the server/cashier helped to explain some of the choices to us. For the shaved ice, the ice was fine and soft and pure ice. There was no milk or sugar/sweetener added to the liquid that made the ice. So, for those who like places like "Snowdays" this isn't going to be like that. This is more purist shaved ice. The portion size was generous, with lots of toppings. For those of you that want other things, there is coffee and tea products too. We will be coming back to try other shaved ice and bubble teas. In terms of price, I would say that it's comparable to Fort Lee prices. No bargain basement bubble tea here. They are aiming for a quality product and are charging a respectable price for it. There is nothing else like this in the area. They should continue to maintain quality and good service, and I will continue to try to bring my family (ie kids) there. I wish they had some kind of loyalty program. Honestly, this I believe is at least the 3rd iteration of a bubble tea shop at this location. Was across the street and saw this place had bubble tea. The menu had a lot of variety I order taro frozen. It was so good especially with the passion fruit bobs. I'm happy to live within walking distance from Cafe Teasia. I'm a bit of a tea nut, and Teasia has a truly wide selection of teas, sold either steeped or loose. Now and then I buy four ounces of their China Yunnan, which is my idea of a delicious black tea. The bubble tea is very good. The jelly has a great texture, and the pearls are perfect - just chewy enough, and uniformly textured. The cup is sealed with a plastic lid, making it authentic bubble tea. Try the Thai Tea bubble tea with Lichee Jelly. Delicious! They make a good cup of coffee as well. Cafe Teasia also has a selection of more unusual beverages and foods. The seven grain latte is bizarre but delicious, a meal in a cup, halfway between a cereal and a beverage. I look forward to trying the waffles and shaved ice. I have come to this establishments a couple of times and it has been a good experience. I decided to come today as I wanted a bubble waffle. Their Google said they were closing at 9 pm and since I was coming from far away I figured I would try to place the order ahead of time through Grubhub. My GPS was set to arrive at 8:30pm ( 30 mins before their closing time ) Grubhub said it wasn't accepting anymore orders at 8:15 pm. I figured I would call , my call was sent to voicemail. I decided to show up and ask as I figured maybe they just weren't taking orders over the phone or Grubhub. I was there at 8:30. The guy that was helping said that they had just turned the waffle machine off and couldn't make the waffle for us. I am writing this review because I figure any place has a right to do business how they want but if you are really close after 8:30 then that should be the time listed . Nobody should have to go through the sour experience of coming all the way there just to hear that their machine is off. Maybe Yelp should update their open time to 8:30 if that is the time they pretend to stop servicing customers. read more

Long Story Short: Cute cafe with a variety of drink and dessert options with a nice ambiance for just hanging out or even doing some work. Definitely try the Bingsu (shaved ice)-- it's delicious and (bonus) shareable between two people. Long Story: We came to CafeTeasia after having some sushi down the street, and although my friend had been here before, I was pleasantly surprised by the diverse offerings here. Because it's in downtown Cranford, I'm sure parking might be a bit of an issue, but for us, it wasn't a problem since we just walked from the parking lot down the street. The cafe is decorated well, so it's a cute place to hang out and quiet enough to do some work if you wanted. We ordered a bingsu to share between the two of us, and since the mango is currently out of season, we ordered the traditional flavor. It was my first time having bingsu, and while I've had other versions of shaved ice, this was totally (and pleasantly) different from any other I've had. I would describe the texture as pillowy, creamy, and soft that immediately melts in your mouth whereas other shaved ice dishes I've had are more like a finely crushed ice. I stopped by on the first day that this new cafe opened in downtown Cranford. The interior is great - very smart looking and contains a good amount of seating. They serve tea, coffee, shaved ice, bubble tea, and frappes. I went with an Iced Americano and it was delicious. It had great coffee flavor, not bitter at all, and just needed a splash of milk. My new favorite coffee place. I never leave reviews but this place deserved one!! It's quiet and good environment for studying. When I go to a coffee spot to enjoy my favorite drink for the day or to study I like a relaxing more quiet environment. Track five used to be my go to but lately it has an over abundance of kids running around and your typical loud get togethers instead of a relaxing coffee shop. Which is great for their busy but it's not what I look for in a coffee place. The bubble tea and tea flavors options here are amazing and all tase so great!! The strawberry shaved ice was really good. The way the strawberry mixes in with the shaved ice was really yummy and delicious. The shaved ice alone is really light and fluffy which makes it really easy to not be full as fast. Also, it is included with two Pocky sticks which makes it more interesting. The price of the shaved ice is good too. $10 is actually reasonable for the amount of food you get. It is sharable for at least two people (I thought I wouldn't finish it). The place is pretty quiet and it is very cozy and small. Next time I come back, I will try their bubble tea because I heard it's good too. I will recommend it to everyone. read more

SHOUTOUT to Cafeteasia! I'm so happy this place opened. I passed by it when I had an appt. a few buildings down. I got the black milk bubble tea -- it was delicious. My favorite part about it is that you can customize the sweetness (from none to super duper) however you like as opposed to a pre-made mix, which pretty much everyone has. Note that they do have the already-sweetened mixes but those are for specific beverages. The chocolate croissant was tasty too. They also have loose leaf teas and coffee, which I'll have to try one day. I'm glad I can get my bubble tea fix in less than a 10 mins. drive. This is a great place if you want to grab a cup of coffee/Tea and get some work done or catch up with a friend. They have a whole bunch of pastries you can buy, so if you have a sweet tooth, you could check them out. Me and my friend came here for a cup of tea, and let me tell you that they had a huge selection! The guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and helpful in helping us choose a tea. My friend also bought a croissant, and it was so delicious! He warmed it up for us and gave us a lil bit of dipping butter on side. I would definitely go back, especially to get work done. My only recommendation would be for them to add some more food items on the menu eventually? Not only will I be able to spend more money at the establishment, but I will stay there loner!
