Finally gave this spot a try and loved it! The service was attentive, the interior design takes you to the beautiful Turkey, and the food was great. I got the beyti kebab with beef and enjoyed every bite! There's a variety of proteins to choose from too. The salad was great to break up the dish with some freshness as well. We definitely lucked out deciding to eat here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We walked over around 6:30pm and were seated right away with the restaurant already 60% full - couples, families, and groups. With a decent appetite for two, we ordered the Beyti Chicken plate, Manti, a Turkish coffee for my husband and a rose mocktail for myself. Everything came out in a timely manner and it was all absolutely delicious. Both dishes were savory and paired perfectly with the yogurt sauce. It was plenty of food for us both to try and feel satisfied afterward. We also bought a box of Turkish delight to enjoy at home - but would probably skip on it next time. Service: We had a bigger party so we had to wait about 40 minutes before we got seated, but immediately when a table opened up the server was gracious enough to clean everything up and have us seated. They even left their kitchen open for us, so we could eat after the wait. The mezze options are so delicious. My favorites were the dolmas, hummus, muhammara, and fresh pita. I highly recommend getting a drink here too since the rose mojito did not disappoint. The falafel my way had okay falafel, it was a little on the drier side but it's probably the only negative. The rice was amazing, the hummus was amazing and so were the roasted veggies that came with Ali Nazik. The Pida we ordered was very cheesy but still tasted Mediterranean because of the olives. Full halal menu, which is great for those with dietary restrictions. Got this recommendation from a friend, and he did not disappoint! The Beyti Kabob was delicious!! If you're trying to pick which one to get, get the lamb. The lamb is their signature item and it's cooked very well and so tender! I tasted the Chicken Beyti Kabob and it was also delicious. I so wanted to like this place . However,the disamal service takes away from the overall satisfaction experience. I have been here four times. I ordered Ali Nazik Mania, which was wonderful. Next, Süleyman the Second. Delicious. Grandfather Beyti with Abdullah Sauteé. I love eggplant, so this was a dish I really wanted to try.so good. However, it seems you have to challenge the staff to serve you. I was in i Istanbul. and they seemed pleased that you were there, unfortunately, at Cafe Turko, your presence is an inconvenience. After food was delivered, no other contact from staff. Had to go to the register to pay my bill, where a disgruntled staff was annoyed to have me show up Actually had to hunt the down to pay bill and experience unhappiness at my presence. Wanted to order more items. Experienced this every four time I was there, so there is a definite pattern coming here. Once you order, unfortunately the limited staff are reluctant to offer assistance beyond dropping off your menu items. For the price of the menu items, service is very limited here. read more

I can see why this place is popular. There probably aren't a lot of restaurants that offer this kind of cuisine. The food was very good! We really liked our server, once he finally realized we were his table? We were pointed to the table we should walk to (also had a reservation for 5 on a Saturday night), with no menus. They have a barcode on the table, for the menu, but it's not ideal. Eventually we asked for physical menus. Much easier! I think the main problem with eating here is the lack of staff. You can tell that just take everyone and sit you where they have available without considering the staff is only 3 people waiting table for an entire restaurant. Problematic on a busy night, this place was hopping the whole time we were there! There was a sign in the window, saying that they were hiring for all positions. So that's good! The food was good! Loved the pide (pizza), and the falafel wrap, and the anistazi. So good. The main hummus is the best...wouldn't recommend the rainbow hummus plate unless you are really wanting something different. read more

Double yum!! We ate here on a Friday night around 5. There were 1-2 tables dining inside when we arrived. The front of the restaurant has a half wall that is open air, which gave an outdoor dining feel. I love the atmosphere, I felt transported to a different place. We started out with a rainbow hummus plate - spinach, yam, beet and traditional hummus. All very flavorful!! Hubs ordered the Adana Kebab. It was tender and juicy (I had a bite). Served with rice and salad. I ordered the Cappadocia kebab. Very flavorful and filling. A dipping sauce was served with both, not sure what it was but it was delicious. This place have been on my list for a really long time so when we were invited to come eat dinner here, we were super stoked!!! The big thing that I want the highlight about this restaurant is the service. We had a group of 18 people, and they were able to make our experience nothing less than amazing. We originally had our reservation at 6:30pm but we finished our activities a little early but they were able to accommodate that as well. The restaurant was fully packed and they were short staffed yet, our food came out in a timely manner, they replaced our jugs of water when it was out, etc. Food wise: appetizer - we got the rainbow hummus plate, the snowball in the dessert (aka fried cauliflower), Greek fries, muhammara, and fasulye piyaz. They were all good. I think my least favorite was the fasulye piyaz as it's on the sour side for my taste but everything else was good. Out of the 4 hummus from the platter, my favorite was definitely the beet and yam as the flavor was more pronounced. Entrees: we got the beyti kebab with lamb and the Gypsy's Yahni. The kebab was good, I like the crunch from the wrap and then cheesy lamb inside. My critique for this dish is that the end pieces of the wrap was all cheese so it was a little inconsistent and the salad was bland. The Gypsy's Yahni was good. It's definitely the more flavorful of the 2. The chicken stew like dish is fitting for a winter season and it goes so well with the aromatic rice. The salad here had some kind of dressing on it that was also really tasty. Dessert: we got baklava and for me it was way too sweet but my husband really enjoyed it so it's a taste preference. We ate here on a Saturday night with no reservations. It was really busy and we had to wait in a line for about 15 minutes, but after we made it to the hostess we were seated almost immediately. After being seated we had to wait quite some time to be served though. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the rainbow hummus platter as a starter. The meats were well seasoned and fresh. We ended with baklava which was crisp, sweet and delicious. While the food was good, there were a couple items we tried to order but they were out of, which was surprising given it was still early in the evening. I walk around Fremont a lot and always saw this place but had never tried. I saw a social media account post that this is one of their favorite places, so I gave it a try! I was so shocked to see how amazing the reviews are but I hadn't gone in yet. The inside is surprisingly very big with tons of tables. I went during lunch when it was beautiful and sunny so we decided to sit outside. You can only order "to go" if you want to sit outside, but they bring your food to you with utensils. The lamb kofte kebab was absolutely incredible. The seasoning with so intense and decadent, the meat was juicy and tender, yet held shape well. I was in heaven! The rice was also delicious and very flavorful. Could not recommend more!!! The grilled chicken durum was also lights out amazing. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy and the whole pita wrap was awesome. Definitely will leave your hands a mess after, but SO worth it. YUM! The aegan greens salad was good! It was a nice healthy side and the dressing was sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Super easy online ordering through yelp, uber eats, or door dash. I placed an order through yelp before they opened for a 11:30 AM pick up (the earliest I could pick up). It's street parking here. I could see it being a little busy, but on a Sunday morning, it wasn't too bad. The front area was kind of roped off with tables on the side for online orders. The guy at the front was packing up my order when I got in. He was efficient with getting my order to me, handling phone calls, and then asking me if I needed silverware. I was in and out within 2 minutes. My husband and I ordered the Adana kebab, the beyti kebab (beef doner), a Turkish coffee, and a Kefir cheese&Za'atar dip. We got home and was in awe when we opened the boxes up. The beyti kebab looked amazing with a great little side salad. The dressing for the salad was great and refreshing. It was super flavorful. The beyti kebab was super tasty, I love the lavish bread with the beef. I've never had it before but now I can't wait to go back and eat it again. The adana kebab was perfect. The rice is perfect and super unique to other Mediterranean places. It wasn't as heavy, instead super light and fluffy. But still just as flavorful. I couldn't get enough of it. The dip was also fantastic. It was creamy and very addicting. It came with some fluffy pita bread. I couldn't stop eating it. My husband love the Turkish coffee. There wasn't a single thing I disliked. I would absolutely order everything I got today. Which in hindsight, might be bad because we really want to try everything on the menu. My coworker friend who went to college in Turkey recommended Cafe Turko to me, and he's picky when it comes to restaurants. And now I'll be recommending Cafe Turko to everyone as well! read more

A nice place to hang around but very difficult to find a parking here , almost searched for 15-20 mins :( Now let's come to food. Pretty good collection of appetizers and with great taste. We tried rainbow hummus and Mamumra both were really great. Main course I tried their vegetarian dish Gypsy Yahni. It's mainly a mix veg in red sauce but the dish name and the description was so difficult to understand. Dish was not great taste , had less on salt and spice :( Desserts were really amazing , we tried their Birds Nest , Halwa , Revani and Baklawa. I would say Revani was a hit , it's a mount melting cake with coconut and pistachio sprinkle. Definitely try if you are planning to be here. Favorite restaurant in Seattle! Cafe Turko has a great ambiance and even greater food. We've been more than a dozen times and will continue to return. I'd try to go on a weekday evening as there is less of a wait and the staff are more responsive. The last time we went was on a Wednesday night. The hummus was healthy, colorful, and fresh. Sooooooooo amazing!! The restaurant itself inside is absolutely gorgeous and the wait staff is incredible and so accommodating. They have plenty of options for different allergies and diets such as vegan, vegetarian, nut free, egg free and gluten free. Fantastic! It's true, Cafe Turko took my Turkish food virginity last week. Fremont is a terrible place for me to try to squeeze into on a Friday night, but I made it here for this restaurant. No regrets. For appetizer, I recommend getting the rainbow hummus. They were all equally good. I am an unexperienced Turkish foodie, so the homies ordered all the entrees for us to share, not sure what the dishes were called. I do recall a bomb ass drink with a nutty taste to it though. Finding parking in Fremont is difficult, this is right down the hill from the Troll, maybe you can park near him and afterwards be forced to walk uphill to walk off the heavy food. It had been a while since we visited Cafe Turko and I was really craving some Turkish food so we decided to stop by. My boyfriend ordered the Süleyman the Second, the chicken was juicy, tender and full of flavor. I ordered the Adana kebab and while the meat had enough flavor, the main reason I ordered this dish was for the grilled veggies that were supposed to come with the dish and when I got my plate it only included the meat skewer and the complimentary salad and rice. When I addressed this with the waitress, she was told that the roast veggies were not a part of the dish and that she didn't know why it was listed on the menu. I felt this was misleading and not right for the price that was paid. Overall, the ambiance is pretty, colorful and cozy but the portions are on the smaller side for what you pay for. read more

It was busy but with no wait which given how hungry I was, was everything I could have dreamed of. We were going to get the beyti kebab with beef and ali nazik the fire as they would both be new dishes for me. They got the order wrong though and instead served us the ali nazik mania. We were SO hungry though that we told them to just leave it and we'd keep the order even though I'd been excited about the eggplant and this dish was like $10 more expensive. Cafe Turko is right at the edge of the main drag in Fremont, and is such a cute little restaurant! There is lots of indoor seating at full capacity and has such cool decorations inside. There's lots of street parking available in Fremont if you're willing to take a few min to look! Service at the restaurant was a little slow at times unfortunately. The menu is pretty big and everything sounded so good. It took a while but I eventually decided on the Beyti Kebab with Beef doner ($15) - lots of grilled beef strips, grilled veggies, cheese, wrapped in bread. It was so so delicious and very filling!! So for food: Gypsy's Yahni - overall pretty good. Mixed veggies well seasoned alongside some rice and salad. Good flavor although, I'd probably try something a bit more adventurous next time. Such a great authentic Turkish place! The decor of this place really took my breath away and made me feel as if I was in the Middle East. We were seated for a party of three almost immediately. The place was popping an everyone who came after us had to wait a bit. They do have a time limit on how long you can stay. The menus are all online so you have to scan the QR code on each table and figure out what you'd like to order. The waiters do take their time in coming and think the service could have been better. For the amount of people and tables they have, I think they need more wait staff. The 3 or 4 waiters they had for a busy Sunday night were hustling and running around. We ordered the ali nazik with chicken and lamb and the beyti eggplant. We later also got the beyti lamb. Let me tell you, this lamb ain't nothing like you've tasted before. It was perfectly tender and seasoned just right. It's a bit heavy and I honestly wished we got more of the eggplant since that was absolutely delicious as well. The food was top notch, the decor really gives the place a unique vibe. Parking is a bit hard to find since it's Fremont but we parked one street behind and took a shortcut through a small amphitheater and paid parking lot. Other options are paid lots, paid street parking. Sundays are free for streets. Overall, 4.5/5, only reason I took half a star off is because the service could be better but I suppose with such a busy place this is to be expected. read more
