My biggest gripe was that the live music was too loud. I am used to loud music in the background, but this felt louder than normal--all of my friends were complaining about it. This obviously made it difficult to talk with others. It might not be as loud when there is not live music. The food and drinks were okay. It is bar food with a Bavarian twist. Our servers were nice and periodically checked in to refill our drinks. I'm not sure if I would go here again if I was in town, but this would be a fun spot for some.

They have a HUGE outdoor deck, right on the waterway, which is just about the perfect spot to spend a warm summer afternoon. I also got to visit recently, on a cold, bitter, grey January day, and the beer was just as good enjoyed indoors in their colorful tap room. Can't wait for more great days at Beach Cat as the weather starts to warm up and the sun (rumor has it) decides to come out even more.

There are both outdoor and indoor seating areas. The seats by the fire pits outside were all taken, so we stayed inside. They have a variety of board games, and we took advantage of that. While I enjoyed the atmosphere, I cannot say the same for one member of the staff. I tried ordering food, but I had an unpleasant encounter with the person taking my order. They seemed completely uninterested in their job and made it seem like I was burdening them by ordering food. I ended up not ordering anything. The person at the bar was nice, and I did not have any issues with them. Perhaps it was an off night for the one staff member, but it rubbed me the wrong way. Despite my encounter, I liked the bar. I would probably recommend going to the bar with the caveat about potentially having poor service.
