Not the weirdest breakfast I've ever had, but definitely up there. Tasty Chicken lives up to its name -- the chicken is similar in flavour to the ubiquitous "Peruvian chicken," but the spice blend is a little different and way more flavourful. The chicken was juicy, hot, and well seasoned. We also had sweet plantain -- and rather than little tiny chunks or slices, they give you a whole big whopping plantain. The fried yuca, similarly, is big pieces, and they offer it covered in garlic (which is awesome, I don't think I can eat it without ever again). Worth the visit!

The onions were so dry they literally cracked apart. The only saving grace was our server. She was kind, attentive, and even apologized for the food. But despite everything, I paid $22 for an inedible mofongo and $4.00 for a sour juice (yes I know passionfruit is not sweet, I make my own fresh passion fruit juice, so I know what I'm telling you) meal, no manager came to check in, and nothing was offered to make it right. Unfortunately what we found was a nice place with decent food that was expensive, but frankly NO WHERE NEAR the high ratings that it was given. If you're going to serve expensive food then you need to have the according ambiance, service, and most importantly food.
