The mimosa was embarrassingly large, but I gave it my best effort. And the coffee was exactly what breakfast coffee should be: good and strong. They don't take reservations, so it's first come, first served, but it's very kid-friendly with fun, quirky decorations. Service was great, friendly and attentive. Both times we had good service and lots of fun! My favorite cocktail is the watermelon sugar high. It tastes just like a sour patch watermelon! I also tried their buffalo wings for the first time and they were great. Super crispy and great flavor! The only negative is that 6 wings were $18, which I think is overpriced, even for midtown. They serve breakfast all day and have so many different menu options. I ended up ordering the Woodland Omelette, which was light, flavorful, and nicely balanced with the Gouda cheese within and the Bechamel sauce on top. I wasn't a fan of the breakfast potatoes, but the salad was a delicious substitute. The Short Rib Cobb Salad was highly recommended, and the short ribs were tender and the sauce was great! Some other items that were ordered were the siege sausage, which reminded me of kielbasa sausages in look and flavor. They also offered Texas Toast, and Sour Dough but the Multi-Grain Toast was a nice addition, as it was thin and light. Our server Emily was courteous and pleasant to interact with. I ordered the chicken sandwich. Sadly it was not good. They breaded chicken seemed liked it was pre cooked and sat under heat lamp for a while. Has not that hot and seriously DRY! We tried Mom's Kitchen & Bar twice, and both times we were placed on a waitlist of at least 25 minutes. The first visit, we ended up eating elsewhere and were called back about 45 minutes later. The second time, we were seated after about 10 minutes, which was much better. I ordered the pancake burrito, and my boyfriend ordered the egg, cheese, and ham burger with pepper sauce. He found the sauce a bit overwhelming, and I felt my dish was massive--almost too much. I was honestly unsure how to eat it... syrup or ketchup? While it was creative, I couldn't finish it and definitely think it's a dish meant to be shared between two people. The restaurant had a great vibe and was clearly very popular and packed, so I understand the wait. That said, for the long waits and the price, the food just wasn't for us.
