Five stars all around. This was my first time here with family. We went back in May to celebrate my dad's birthday. Funny enough we have passed by this place so so many times but never decided to venture in. We finally took the plunge and I am so glad we did. The vibe on the outside matches the vibe inside. It feels very classy, quaint, and refined but not over the top and grandiose..like understated elegance:) It's like your typical Italian restaurant with the red table linen and walls adorned with photos of the owner with past patrons, news articles, and accolades which gives it that charming old school Italian restaurant feel. As you enter, there is a small waiting area where the host stand resides and as you make your way through there is a main dining room and a second dining room to the right which was closed off at the time we went (which was lunchtime). What made the atmosphere feel so nice and quaint was the fact that the noise level was low and the music was quiet and relaxing, like soft acoustic guitar. You can tell that the patrons there were regulars as most were in business attire and everyone acted professionally and weren't being loud or boisterous. The atmosphere of a restaurant can make or break it just as much as the service can so I always take it into account. Immediately upon seating, we were greeted by a server assistant who offered us sparkling water or flat water. He was very mannerly and polite. We were also provided with fresh, warm, bread rolls. I am such a sucker for table bread and the timeliness of its arrival was superb lol They don't provide you with olive oil or balsamic vinegar which was fine, but they did provide pre packaged butter packets in a ramekin. The bread portion was generous for anyone that wants to know and is a bread lover like me;) The wine selection was also worth commenting on. There were Old World wines and New World but the prices were pretty steep. I was planning on splurging since this was my dad's birthday lunch/early dinner but for anyone that prefers house wines at an affordable cost they really didn't have any wines in the $25/$30 price range. We settled on having the Seghesio Zinfandel from Sonoma which I've had before after eyeing it at Whole Foods but it was so worth it. It had been while since I last had it but it was soooo good. It was fruity and oaky at the same time with a hint of cedar and burst of cherry and/or currant. Smooth and supple but mildly tannic. I'm not much of an earthy wine drinker nor am I big on dry wines unless it's a Malbec, but this was the perfect pairing for what we ate. It was like off dry. It was lite enough to be a good drinking wine for an afternoon lunch and bold enough to pair well with what we ate. The dishes we chose were the Porcini Mushroom risotto, the black inked lobster ravioli, and Seafood Linguine. Holy Moly! It's like I died and went to heaven. This was the first time we had been to a restaurant since covid starting and the lockdown happened so a bit over a year so it did feel kind of strange to be sitting indoors without a mask on and around other people. Not going to lie, but all the tables were six feet apart and were separated by plexiglass glass partitions which actually made our dining space feel more private. As for the food, I have no complaints whatsoever. The portions were generous and they were extremely flavorful and balanced. Nothing was too salty or oily. It had just the right touch of cream for the dish I had and everything tasted fresh and came out hot. The service was excellent...exactly what I expected from a place like this. Our waiter was warm, polite, consistent, and professional. He checked up on us now and then but wasn't obtrusive and made sure the table was properly bussed, manicured, and reset at the time right time. I wish I could recall his name because I love to give shout outs and give credit where credit is due. The hospitality industry is a tough one especially given the circumstances we are currently in with covid and I consider servers as essential workers as they are exposing themselves every day to hoards of people, even if they wear a mask but this gentleman wore a smile on his face the whole time, appeared to genuinely care about our dining experience, and make a valiant effort to make it a pleasurable one. I will definitely be going back one of these days, though with covid cases and variants going up, not so sure, but for the time being I still want to commend businesses such as Cafe Abbracci for offering an outstanding product and service and doing their best to make customers feel safe and valued. More than ever we must support businesses and show our love to them. I'm grateful I was able to dine at Abbracci when I did. The delicious food and stellar service made my father's birthday a memorable one. read more

Total hidden gem in Coral Gables that has been around for a long time. Service was excellent, ambiance was great and food outstanding. It's a very cozy and old-school Italian place with some of the best pasta. Their Pappardelle Boscaiola and Linguini with Clams were so flavorful with their wine sauce. read more

My daughter brought me here for my birthday dinner, and I have to say it was absolutely outstanding. They have been around for a very long time. It is a very small, quaint place in Coral Gables as I remember. My grandparents used to dine there very frequently. The food was absolutely spectacular. The wine list superb and the attention to detail was absolutely wonderful. Although on the pricey side, it is somewhere I will definitely be back to go to and try other dishes on their menu. Make sure you make reservations, so that way you have ability to sit inside the restaurant. If not, there's a couple tables on the outside on the street but are available is first come first serve. read more

my all time favorite! i love everything about this place, it's super clean, service is always wonderful, and the food is delicious! Lobster ravioli and calamari are always fresh. If you do plan to stop by for dinner i do recommend to do reservations because they're always packed and dress decent, no booty shorts or crop top type of vibes. Caffe abbracci has been one of my go to restaurants for years.... It never disappoints. Aside from it's old style decor... this restaurant has all you want from an Italian place, Great service and awesome food... don't let me forget about the wine list. It has wines from all regions and it has good wines at reasonable prices. Eventhough you will not see many people with kids here, it is a very kid friendly place and most pastas can be order as half portions. I strongly recommend the Lamb chops, Sea Bass in a red wine reduction sauce and one of my friends swears for the pere noci tortellini. But... if you don't see anything that you like in the menu... ask... they can probably make something just for you upon request. read more

It has really good food and serving sizes are so huge you can eat meals from it for two days it's definitely a popular spot for University of Miami students taking their parents to dinner while they're in town. What can I say, we have been coming here on and off for the past twenty years. When a restaurant in Miami has been around for thirty years, that alone says a lot. I have never had a bad meal at Caffe Abracci, the food is traditional and everything is good. I love the pasta dishes, fish, meat, desserts, etc., etc. The owner Nino Is usually around and manages to remember everyone. This place is outstanding! If you have never Been to Caffe Abracci you are seriously missing out, you have to give them a try. The prices are high, but it's worth it for the quality, service and ambiance. Parking garages are available nearby, valet parking is also available and there is a lot next to the restaurant as well. I can't wait to go back for our Christmas dinner. 7pm reservation 3/10/22. On time. Sat on the sidewalk table for 2. The only cars that arrived to valet were Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes, and the like. The service is just as if you were dining in a local Italian home. Very personal and caring with undeniable attention to detail. They've been doing this a long time. Our meal was delicious. When we were at the end of our meal, our waiter reminded us that many people do not have food or water. Kind of odd, but at the same time, I appreciate the reminder that we are free here in America and enjoy those freedoms. Well we had a family gathering a 90th birthday celebration a party of over 30. The service was excellent the attention was excellent. NOW. Am a foodie and I enjoy a truly taste meal I don't care if I have to get up and serve it myself. To me is all about the taste and the experience while I eat. I ordered the Veal no taste whatsoever as if it was just breaded and send to my table I added ketchup, lemon mixed with fries I even used my wife's pasta sauce and still had no flavor to me that's the worst you can do an expensive meal with no flavor. I was there on a Monday evening and there were a lot of people. For apetizers we had the Vitelllo Tonnato and calamari which are also My favorite. Very typical Italian, in both decor and food. The service was very good, with the waiters being attentive but not obnoxious. The food was good...like I said, typically Italian. Our table had the Black Lobster Ravioli, Veal Milanese, and the Rigatoni Amatriciana. The Black Lobster was very good with just enough sauce to not overkill the dish. The Veal Milanese was huge, and pounded paper thin as it should be. But it was served with a side of French Fries: a very odd choice for this dish, which would have been better served by a side of roasted asparagus or Brussels Sprouts. I had the Rigatoni Amatriciana. The pasta was Al Dente, just as I like it, the sauce was good...a deep red sauce that needed just a bit more "oomph"!? Something to pick up the edges a bit. YET I highly recommend the place. I really liked this place. We went in and were immediately seated. We went for n a week night and was pretty busy for a Tuesday. My husband got the clams and I got the chicken. Both were delicious! The bread was nice and warm! Service was excellent.... really better than excellent! We left a nice tip for going out to really make the experience enjoyable. At the end they even brought us some extra nice chocolate for our daughter and a little piece for mom too! My husband grew up in Frankfort Germany and the owner was or manager(not really sure who he was) began talking to my husband in German. He recognized the accent right away even though I don't think my husband has an accent at all, so that was kind of cool. Anyway, great place and I highly recommend it! read more

Absolutely the worst meal and service we have ever had! it took 35 minutes for the waiter to take our first drink order. He did not check back for another 30 minutes to see if we wanted to order an appetizer. Our appetizer and dinner came out at the same time. Almost inedible lamb. Had not been to Abbraci is a decade? 5 years? Anyway, wife said she wanted to go there. This place has gone downhill fast. The décor tries to be grand in the "old style" but it is worn out, badly kept, and it sort of gives you the impression of an old home which had money but no longer has it, so it is not "antique" or "heritage" but just old and dusty and falling apart. The interior is hugely disappointing, tables are kind of meshed together and it reminds me of Wolfey's in Miami Beach. The service is good. A bit obsequious but good overall. My wife has this fixation on lobster raviolis. These were awful. They are thin, a bit chewy, but really thin, almost nothing. They are submerged, literally, in some sauce. The result is really unpleasant, visually and taste-wise. I had fish, it was OK. Nothing great, nothing to remember, just good. I've had worse. But, wow, I've had way way better! And for $30 one would expect really good. But no. If you're really after quality, I would suggest Graziano's Market, 2 streets away, as being way better. read more

This was such a weird experience. We came here on a whim as much of Miracle Mile had long waits as it was a Friday night. We had walked past this on many occasions, the outdoor dining is on the sidewalk but it is always packed with older folks. We walked in and were asked if we had a reservation immediately. The host looked over a little book (we thought we were going to wait) and ushered us in. We were sat in the back room. It was crowded and everyone was sitting pretty close. I'm not sure the history of this restaurant, just know it's been here for ages. I'm not sure if this is suppose to be considered high end or that's what they're trying to portray. The place looked like a luxurious Denny's. Weird lighting, service was alright nothing spectacular. The couple next to us was dressed to the nine (whole tuxedo and black dress) while the table across from us were dressed as if they just got out of the gym (sweats, tank top, leggings, etc) very interesting mix of attire... The food was nothing out of this world. We opted for a Calamari and Zucchini and then the Angel Hair as our entree. I had to flag down our waiter on multiple occasions, tried making conversation with him and asked for suggestions but he was clearly focused on serving other tables. This restaurant is clearly targeting the older crowd (perhaps even the snobby AND older crowd..) We were perhaps the youngest people in the room, maybe he thought we weren't going to tip him.. or who knows what. It was a weird experienced, honestly felt like I was in a fever dream. I absolutely love this place! I love their veal Milanese and their pasta (pretty much every pasta on their menu!). I've been here a handful of times and each time I get the same sweet waiter (I forgot his name but he's an older gentleman with glasses). And each time I go I am fully satisfied! I always order the calamari to start, alongside the beef carpaccio and prosciutto and burrata. So many delicious dishes on the menu it's always hard to choose and I love to pick at things so I find I order a lot of different things here! The wine selection is also great. Delicious!!!!!!!!!! My fiancé's aunt loves this place but this was my first time! we came for his grandmas birthday dinner. It was Sooooo good! Such a cute little place and it has an authentic vibe to it. We had the amarone chianti and it paired really well with our dinner. My fiancé had the veal parmigiana and wow that plate was huge!!!! He def shared some with everyone. Although, it had such great taste to it. I had the tortellini Tatiana, it was so delicious and you can taste the pear which made it so mouth watering! After many ill-fated attempts to find decent Italian food around Coral Gables, I was delighted to find a restaurant with genuine Italian cooking. The moment I saw four different veal dishes on the menu, I knew that this was my kind of place. We had sausage-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and split a gargantuan Veal Milanese for our dinner. I have been coming to this restaurant for years. Last night Jan. 13,2023 I was so disappointed in the service we received. The server Juan was extremely rude, dismissive, and inattentive. We arrive le and sat down immediately. He came over and asked to take our order we had not even gotten settled. We asked hem for a few minutes and he walked by and there 3 packs of bread sticks on the table. He didn't come to our table once during the entire visit. We had to ask the other staff to for what we needed. We then told another staff member to please send him over because we wanted to bill he came over left it on the table with a huge attitude. I will not be visiting again for a while. I hope the get their act together otherwise they lost a customer. The food was excellent however it was ruined by the servers poor service. read more

The food is wonderful here, you can't go wrong with anything you order. Love the attention to detail their staff provides. Prices are reasonable given their portion sizes and the quality of the food itself. Very classic Italian restaurant. I've also had the Tortellini Tatiana, the Black Lobster Ravioli, the Black Risotto, their Long Island Duckling and their Grilled Langostino and have never had any complaints.
