Out of regular croissants, only had ham & cheese. So, I opted for a danish. Both coffee orders were wrong, I stood at the pick up counter for 10 minutes waiting for wrong coffee....? I went to Caffe Acri with a group and we all tried a little bit of several things here. Unfortunately, all of it was bad. The gelato was disgusting. This corner in Tiburon is a mecca for cyclists and a very touristy spot. It's within shouting distance of the ferry. I expect big prices in this town and my croissant with ham and cheese, latte coffee, and soda water came to $15. The croissant was Pannini grilled really flat but quite delicious. The coffee was excellent. These guys were working hard and despite the pace, the service was very friendly . Expensive town but a good corner spot to refresh yourself and watch people. read more

The long haired cashier girl is just flat out rude. I haven't seen such bad attitude coming from a cafe cashier ever. Any wrong order is apparently the customer's fault because she doesn't want to clarify. I would definitely recommend people to go elsewhere when in the area. This seems to be the only place in downtown Tiburon I can afford to come to back often for lunch and coffee. Everywhere else around here is expensive and the problem is I don't have a car to go elsewhere. Despite the higher prices for pastries and coffee compared to places like Starbucks, I do enjoy sitting outside on the patio when it's a nice day and sip on a cup of coffee. Good coffee, great location in Tiburon on the water. Lots of cyclists stopping here especially on sunny days makes it a favored location for those refueling mid-ride. Pastries are good too but not exceptional. Little fruit cups great for kids, and lots of sweets served. Not a lunch or breakfast place, but just for a drink and a pastry this is a great stop. Indoor and outdoor seating available, right on water and by the square in Tiburon. Beautiful location, nice clean and pretty decor. read more

Caffe Acri is a decent cafe at a very convenient location close to the San Francisco-Tiburon/Angel Island ferry lines. They have both indoor and outdoor seating where you can enjoy a good sandwich and soup to give you energy for whatever you have planned for the day (biking, hiking, ferrying, shopping, etc). Perfect for meeting friends to catch up and then hop back on the ferry to be on your merry way (which was what I did, nice! Thank you, Tiburon!)! read more

There's really nothing wrong with it, but it is relying on their reputation, longevity, and location instead of providing real quality. Their pastries are "okay"; their sandwiches are anemic, but acceptable if you're hungry. The coffee and drinks are mediocre, and they used to have a great clam chowder they don't do anymore. Go here if you're biking by and want to grab something quick and sit out on the grass, but don't expect anything that special. read more

This place is a *great* stopping point for cyclists doing the Tiburon loop. There are bike racks outside, lots of outdoor seating, and the food is not bad. We were on a weekend bike ride and we were about 20 miles in when the weather started turning south on us. We decided to take a quick break here to get a little sustenance to continue riding... and because it was actually bitterly cold. The cafe was super packed when we went. There was a small line, but the person working the register was quick. The panini's are pre-made, but they don't press them until you actually order it. The inside is kept nice and toasty (thank goodness because we were only in spandex and a couple layers. We shared a vegetable panini, which was actually quite good for what it was (I'm a carnivore, what can I say), and shared a cup of soup. I also had a mocha... which was heaven on a cold and rainy day. It's definitely an expensive place for what you get, but for a small bit of sanctuary... maybe I was a little delirious, but I just really liked the atmosphere here. Since I am a huge fan of the TIburon loop (why did I not discover this sooner??), I'll probably be back some day, but I'll probably skip the food and just get some drinks/fill up on water. They are pretty accommodating though, so I'll have to give them that! Also a great place to wait for the shuttle back to San Francisco, in case you're stuck out there/exhausted enough and forced to turn back. read more

This coffee house serves good espresso and is located in an upscale neighborhood on one of the most prime pieces of real estate in Tiburon, but it smells like raw sewage. People in the Bay Area seem to overlook the pungent odor as if it doesn't exist. The waterfront surroundings are nice, but even if the espresso was the best around, your experience would still be ruined by the fowl smell. They also serve really old desserts that taste terrible. There's no excuse for any of this. But like I said, people here don't seem to mind, because the place was busy. read more

I live in Tiburon and Caffe Acri is a sanctuary. If I need to I can open up the laptop and hop on their wi-fi while sipping great Italian coffee and a healthy omelette at breakfast, or a great panini at lunchtime. I haven't indulged in the world class pastries by Chef Samer Salman, but boy I sure want to! I finally get my wish at the upcoming Dessert Wine & Pastry tasting on wednesday Feb 28. I was a regular for their weekly wednesday wine tastings, but they have scaled them back to the last wednesday every month. Believe me the local Tiburon Wine Lovers are lined up outside the door on that wednesday! Maria the manager has been nothing but a great hostess any time I have visited. Drop by on wine tasting night and Kathryn or Angelo Servino will sometimes be there to really deliver that family business atmosphere. It's a Tiburon classic! I can't speak much for the cycling crowd, but I do know there is a variety of bottled spring and sparkling water available. I prefer wine myself! read more

This is a cute cafe, with average pastries. Came here on our first morning in Tiburon, I got a currant scone that was good, moist and had a nice sugar coating on top. I wanted to get the smoked salmon bagel for my husband, but they come pre-made, I toasted, and just sitting in the display case. I opted for just a sesame bagel, and it came with a small container of Philadelphia cream cheese - personally I like when an establishment toasts the bagel, and spreads the cream cheese on for you. One of my kids got an almond croissant and he said it was OK, but he's had better. We came back for a quick bite the following day and they were out of almost everything, and they had a really long line selling tickets for the ferry. I think that they should have a separate line for ferry customers. We ended up going somewhere else the second day and preferred it much better. read more

I cane here after spending a day at Angel island. When we arrived with our group of four there was two ladies in front of us. After seeing us a man opened up a second register and took me and my wife's order. Our friends were standing right behind us and as we sat down we thought they were ordering their drinks but after 10 minutes found out that the man who took our order told them to get into line which was now 14 people long. They were very upset and with good reason. There was no reason he couldn't take their order and left half of our group without refreshments. I know this is not the end of the world but that kind of customer service is just dismal. read more

We stopped by today for an ice cream - yummy flavors - but were shocked to see that the two servers who were preparing food were wearing their face masks around their chins and then touching them with the same gloves they used to serve the food. With a constant stream of people on a beautiful day, if either was a carrier 100+ people could have been exposed. Safety training needed. read more
