I've been waiting a long time to try this place, and I finally found some time to visit with my mom and sister for brunch. The dining room is very cozy and cute - some might even call "pretti", and felt pleasantly upscale for San Anselmo's usually chill vibe. I started off with an americano but then ran into a dilemma between the chicken and waffle and the pork chop. Fortunately our waitress was able to break the tie, suggesting that the pork chop was the more substantial of two great options - so I can't complain when a big hunk of meat is going to be my lunch. The pork chop was huge, and perfectly cooked and seasoned, and sat on a bed of mashed potatoes and broccolini which added some freshness to the savoriness. My mom and sister went with the wagyu burger and the garden omelet, which the both reported as delicious as well. Service was super friendly and attentive despite the busy dining room during the Saturday brunch rush. The parking lot was packed, making finding a space a little tricky. Went to Pretti Platter for the first time with the fam and my thoughts are a bit mixed. Service wise, I thought everyone was wonderful! We got seated very quickly and a waiter came to take our drink order soon after. Another waiter came to take our food order as soon as we were ready. Food came out just as quickly and waiters were checking in regularly. Loved the staff and ambiance of the restaurant. We got Pretti Crispy Potatoes as a starter and those were delicious, we finished them within minutes. What had me mixed was my food specifically. For my entree, I split the Steak Frites and Morning French Toast with my sis. We got the steak medium rare, and the steak was cold in the center and after cutting/eating two pieces we were not sure that it was full cooked. I caught a waiter and let them know so they took it back, when they brought it back out the steak was cooked but they had thrown out a few pieces... not sure why. The Pretti French toast was okay, but nothing special. Just jam, hard fruit and whipped cream. My sis and I both got Lattes (Strawberry and blue) which was wayyy too sweet but my mom said she liked them. So if you are not big on the sweet drinks I'd recommend asking for it half sweetened. Other dishes at the table were the Garden Market Omelet and the Pretti Benedict. Others liked their food but we all agreed the Pretti Potatoes were the star of the show. We kept hearing how good this restaurant is, so we knew we had to try it. The ambiance is really pretty, updated from the old pizza parlor of my youth, and the last Thai place. We had excellent friendly service. My friend got branzino, ($38) which she never had before. She loves salmon and trout, so thought she'd give it a try. She thought it was delicious, but said it needed a side of rice. I ordered the fried chicken and waffles. ($20) I thought they were both tasty, probably give it a "B". From the street, Pretti Platters is in what appears to be a refurbished fast food restaurant from the 60s or 70s painted a cheerful shade of blue. Inside, it's been transformed with neon signs, hardwood floors, and cozy booths that feel straight outta Instagram. The brunch menu is solid. My Japanese eggs on sourdough came with a satisfyingly thick slab of pork belly bacon and a fresh arugula and kumquat salad. My husband's Golden Market Omelette with hen of the woods mushrooms and spring peas was paired with breakfast potatoes and an arugula and strawberry salad. The staff were friendly and service oriented. Pricing is fair for the area, although espresso drink add ons can add up (an extra $1.50 more, for flavored syrup and $1.50 additional for any alternative milk.) Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. everyday, which is a lot of days! It's worth a visit for brunch. read more

They didn't have a booth available at our time of arrival. We waited 20 min and went for a regular table. 15 min later we got our drinks. The staff was polite, but the service needs some work. Our third time here in less than a week and it just keeps getting better. Haven't had a bite or sip that left me wanting for more. I'm usually the type to stick with something I know I like and that would have been Japanese scramble after first visit but this place has unlocked my eager curiosity to try everything on menu so today...the "hot" fried chicken and waffles. Yep, awesome! I'll be back soon and am looking forward to trying the Pretti Benedict. Wife is a vegetarian and had veg omelette shown. Son got Japanese scramble and loved. Buckle up! I have a lot of amazing things to say about this place! The hubs and I were in San Anselmo for a stroll on a Sunday. It was still a little early and most shops and restaurants were still closed. I was getting hungry and wanted more than what the coffee shops were offering. We got in the car to explore what else was in the area. And there, at the north part of town, we discovered an amazing little place, Pretti Platters. The menu is a wonderful blend of creative breakfast dishes and more hearty fare. Everything looked so good but I ended up with the Little Gems by Pretti with the Bodega Bay smoked salmon and the hubs got the Bacon Japanese Scramble. WOW. JUST WOW! The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was plated beautifully. The flavor combinations hit just right. I'm super picky about smoked salmon and this is one of the best I've ever had. The homemade dressing complimented the flavors of the salad toppings perfectly. For the Japanese Scramble, the eggs were fluffy and the slab of bacon was thick and flavorful. The table behind us shared the Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle and I overheard them gushing over it. Three of the four founders were there and we ended up chatting with them. We found out they had only been open 6 days! They are all super friendly and very enthusiastic and dedicated to their restaurant. You can tell they really care about the quality. Even though it is a 45 minute drive to get there from our house, we will definitely be going back! The portion sizes are generous. The menu is creative. The food is delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly. 10 out of 10. We'll be going back. Oh, and try the pink grapefruit mimosa. It beats the orange version hands down! read more

One of the best brunch spots I've been to! I loved the Mimosa Flight, and the Pretty Berry, Pretty Lemon Drop, and Pretty Mary were all so good. The Smoked Salmon Benedict on the croissant was amazing, the Wagyu Smash Burger was juicy and flavorful, and the Bacon Japanese Scramble was so comforting. Food was good - not great. Service was ok - our meals were served at different times 10 minutes apart! My wife's eggs Benedict eggs were undercooked. After waiting for her meal an extra 10 minutes she wasn't about to have them redo it. My wife did tell the manager and they discounted the bill 10%. It was very noisy and they had a large group next to us with an out of control child screaming which was not pleasant. We would probably try it again but not on a weekend. read more

We had high expectations given all of the five star reviews. Our experience was far from it. After being seated we had to wait and wait and wait for a server. I finally got up and found someone. She took our drink and good order and we never saw her again. After waiting between 15-20 minutes with no service, we left. We never did get served. Terrible, terrible experience. We're just leaving this brand new breakfast place which was a total surprise and delight. The breakfast/lunch options were very inventive and creative using locally sourced ingredients. Nothing about this place is another "Benedict" joint! (Aren't you just so tired of that 1970's menu fare!!) What you get here are new twists on things as basic as scrambled eggs (Japanese style), Dutch Pancakes that are a must-try, Chicken & Waffles with crisp yet juicy Mary's Chicken dark meat thighs (so much better than a dried-out breast!), and a totally surprising Stracchino (soft Italian cheese) served with a greens, in-season stone fruits and a light and delicate dressing. Oh... yes, this is a breakfast/brunch/lunch place that SHOULD serve an outstanding brewed coffee. They actually do! Service is so critical in a competitive food service market like Marin/SF, right? We found the entire wait-staff so friendly; the head chef was super engaging and you can tell this entire venture is more a labor of love than table-turn overs and profits. (Honestly, the fact that the staff are Thai tells me they understand hospitality and high levels of service). Can this get any better? We don't yet know since this was our first visit during their first week of service (opened on May 19, 2026) but they opened up with a dedicated staff supporting an inspired chef with a creative menu. While visiting up in Northern California I stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant!! Not only did the pictures look mouthwatering the taste of the food matched the description. It was absolutely delicious!!! You know how you find a great place to eat but the bathrooms are disgusting. Well that is not the case here. The bathrooms are clean!! The food is of course the most important however the service is also above par. The servers are friendly and continually check on you to ensure you have everything you need.
