If I could give 6 stats I would. Go and eat at this cute delicious restaurant. We were passing by and wanted brunch on a Monday. The fried chicken egg Benedict and Dutch pancakes were both not too sweet , freshly made and just 10000% yummy Service is quick and not pushy. Very pleasant owner or manager as well.

From the street, Pretti Platters is in what appears to be a refurbished fast food restaurant from the 60s or 70s painted a cheerful shade of blue. Inside, it's been transformed with neon signs, hardwood floors, and cozy booths that feel straight outta Instagram. The brunch menu is solid. My Japanese eggs on sourdough came with a satisfyingly thick slab of pork belly bacon and a fresh arugula and kumquat salad. My husband's Golden Market Omelette with hen of the woods mushrooms and spring peas was paired with breakfast potatoes and an arugula and strawberry salad. The staff were friendly and service oriented. Pricing is fair for the area, although espresso drink add ons can add up (an extra $1.50 more, for flavored syrup and $1.50 additional for any alternative milk.) Open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. everyday, which is a lot of days! It's worth a visit for brunch.

Buckle up! I have a lot of amazing things to say about this place! The hubs and I were in San Anselmo for a stroll on a Sunday. It was still a little early and most shops and restaurants were still closed. I was getting hungry and wanted more than what the coffee shops were offering. We got in the car to explore what else was in the area. And there, at the north part of town, we discovered an amazing little place, Pretti Platters. The menu is a wonderful blend of creative breakfast dishes and more hearty fare. Everything looked so good but I ended up with the Little Gems by Pretti with the Bodega Bay smoked salmon and the hubs got the Bacon Japanese Scramble. WOW. JUST WOW! The pictures don't do it justice. Everything was plated beautifully. The flavor combinations hit just right. I'm super picky about smoked salmon and this is one of the best I've ever had. The homemade dressing complimented the flavors of the salad toppings perfectly. For the Japanese Scramble, the eggs were fluffy and the slab of bacon was thick and flavorful. The table behind us shared the Hot Honey Chicken and Waffle and I overheard them gushing over it. Three of the four founders were there and we ended up chatting with them. We found out they had only been open 6 days! They are all super friendly and very enthusiastic and dedicated to their restaurant. You can tell they really care about the quality. Even though it is a 45 minute drive to get there from our house, we will definitely be going back! The portion sizes are generous. The menu is creative. The food is delicious. The staff is attentive and friendly. 10 out of 10. We'll be going back. Oh, and try the pink grapefruit mimosa. It beats the orange version hands down!

Pretti Platters Breakfast and Brunch has a nice environment to meet with friends (visited today with a group of 11 for a birthday celebration) service was friendly and the food very tasty! I recommend it for a visit!

I heard there is a new breakfast place open nearby so I decided to check it out with my family today. All staff members were so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant itself is very pretty and their playlists were just right for breakfast place which gives the great vibe inside. The food came out at a decent time and they were all good. I highly recommended.

Had a wonderful Saturday Brunch at this new San Anselmo restaurant. Delicious food, with generous portions. Awesome selection of Western, French and Asian influenced dishes. Our group enjoyed the shrimp cocktail, crispy potatoes (with a tasty garlic aioli & salsa verde dipping sauce), bacon Japanese scramble (super-thick bacon!), Wagyu smash burger, and heritage pork chop (tender & juicy!), with a spicy bloody mary and mimosa trio (orange, grapefruit & hibiscus lychee) to start and a great chocolate lave cake to conclude. Super-friendly staff and great service! Can't wait for a return visit!

The best pork chop I ever have. The meat is tender and juicy mouth watering. Service is great and plenty of parkings. After hiking the park behind the restaurant. This is the nice place to have breakfast. Will coming back again for sure.

Service was kind and welcoming. The menu was very diverse for a brunch. They had things I have never seen on a brunch menu like stracciatella made with fresh barrata and farm fresh fruits and vegetables and was excellent. Presentation was beautiful. Would also recommend the berry milkbread French toast

Spinach, mushroom, cheddar frittata with sourdough bread and a strawberry matcha latte.

While visiting up in Northern California I stumbled upon this fabulous restaurant!! Not only did the pictures look mouthwatering the taste of the food matched the description. It was absolutely delicious!!! You know how you find a great place to eat but the bathrooms are disgusting. Well that is not the case here. The bathrooms are clean!! The food is of course the most important however the service is also above par. The servers are friendly and continually check on you to ensure you have everything you need. I would 100% return to this restaurant when I'm in the area again.

Perfectly moist and delectable bite after bite. The portions are so huge that even a healthy eater like myself will manage to bring home a few pieces to eat later. And eat them with gusto, cold! The service is excellent, even when they are packed and the service is not speedy, you hardly notice because its always so friendly, and well, love takes time! Everything I ever ate there was sublime. Chicken and waffles, gumbo, red beans and rice, po' boys... and don't get me started on those scrumptious beignets! Oh my word! Perfectly crispy on the outside, light and fuffy inside, showered in a snowy confectioners magic and served piping hot. Never too sweet, and not even a hint of oil. If you think fresh warm doughnuts are crave-worthy, these will take you to Nivana and back with just one bite. The atmosphere is lively and cozy and above all, friendly. Sitting alone at the counter my very first time, I immediately had the feeling I was among friends. Michelle is such a genuine and beautiful person, it is beyond obvious that she loves with everything she's got. That love is evident everywhere you look, from her original photography adorning the walls, to the cups and saucers she serves espresso drinks in. Everything about this place is... WAS perfect. Sadly- devastatingly, Michelle served me my last meal there on January 9th at approximately 9:00am. Six hours later she closed the doors on the final day of business. It will be missed by many. The town itself will miss the energy Michelle and her crew brought to the boulevard. Good luck on your next adventure, and keep in touch! Having visited New Orleans earlier this year, I was so excited to try this place! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was transported back to NOLA! There were beads hanging and Mardi Gras decorations throughout the restaurant. Since it was a weekday, there was no wait and we had our choice of sitting inside or out. We opted for inside. Our server was warm and friendly, bringing us water promptly. We started off with an order of beignets. It arrived with three big pieces. They were freshly fried and doused in powdered sugar. So good! My daughter ordered the chicken and waffles, while I decided to try the everything gumbo. The chicken and waffles was huge! It came with several pieces of fried chicken that was topped with freshly minced garlic and came with a homemade spicy sauce. My daughter loved it! I tried a bite and thought it was tasty as well. She ended up taking half of it home. The everything gumbo was also delicious! It was a little thin in my opinion, but the flavor was amazing! It was truly authentic and I could taste all the seafood that was in it. I finished my entire bowl! Unlike the chicken and waffle, it was appropriately sized. When I went to pay the bill, there was a sign that said "free beignets if you pay cash." So of course, I paid our bill in cash! Luckily, I had enough cash on me. Can't pass up a deal like that! All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal! If I'm ever in the area, I'd definitely go back to The Hummingbird!

My "Soft Scramble" was a pile of astonishment. It was so unrefined that it was an insult the the ingredients. There was nothing soft about the eggs, they were overcooked. The only thing soft on the plate was the watery run-off from the vegetables they heaped into the eggs: Too many chewy mushrooms and HUGE. Too many cherry tomatoes. I had to dig to find the eggs. The leeks were strips of inedible ribbon. The toast? I think it had been toasted yesterday and left on the top of their oven overnight and then reused today. I had to get up from the table and ask for butter to make it edible and still I worried whether I was going to break a crown. The pickled vegetables? Again, HUGE, hard and barely pickled. I will refrain from criticizing the service because they are all unaware of the nightmare in which they are working. Bless their hearts. I was so sad and annoyed. People think they can buy a restaurant with recipes and wholesale accounts and staff and just run it, "business as usual" but they are wrong. I went in and asked if they had sold the restaurant and was told, "yes." I imagine some tech-bro's wife or some hedgefund community doodler wanted a pet project with zero idea about food or food quality or how to treat and retain employees because what happened to MHBB is astonishing. It's rude and insulting to anyone who opened this restaurant and put in their best to keep the name and claim to be catering to the same people. But then again, this is par for the course or, from my vantage point, everything wrong with what's happened in Marin in a nutshell. Faux authenticity. Zero care. This is now all about the money. I will never bother with it again.

Whatever we lacked in Korean or Ethiopian fare we made up for with an abundance of restaurants specializing in food from France and Italy. Amelie Cafe and Wine Bar continues the tradition and I'm not mad about it. With outposts in both San Francisco and New York City, Amelie sports a nice pedigree. The Fairfax location is dialed down a bit - perfect for the neighborhood it serves - and makes for a comfortable place to enjoy any meal however you might happen to appear that day. It's a simple cafe and, though not inexpensive, certainly less so than a trip to Paris. Two of us recently dined here, late afternoon on a weekend, sharing a burger ($23; comes with fries and a salad), a lager ($8; they have no IPA), and boquerones, the latter of which I fully regretted having to share. Whenever I see boquerones ($12) on a menu I cannot look away and in Marin, finding such an offering is a unicorn. Delicious; I might sneak back over solo just to enjoy them again. The burger and fries were also good, with a profile a bit different than what one would get at a non-French-centric spot. Amelie is a good place to drop in before or after a movie or a show in Fairfax and equally wonderful to pop into for a morning coffee drink or an afternoon glass of wine. It's a casual and a perfect fit for Fairfax.
