The food was moderately tasteful, the lady running it was in shambles. I really came here to have the breakfast sandwich, I don't eat egg so I asked for it on the side so my boyfriend can eat it and everything ended up on the side, which was confusing. The biscuit was very salty and lack luster in flavor. The ambiance of the cafe was nice, feeling very homie. I just wish the food was a bit better, I love the idea of a bacon chive biscuit. The smoothie was also very mild in flavor, tasting only orange juice. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a quick bite, since there is a good amount of parking and they were quick.

Food was great. The restaurant was super cute and well decorated. We had breakfast burritos and split a mixed berry pie. We had to step out while waiting on our food because our eyes were burning. Possibly because they were chopping onions( a sign of freshness). Also during our meal our eyes burned again. After getting our food however, the shorter chef kept staring at us from the kitchen door. We noticed him every minute of the meal making our dining experience unsatisfactory.

This is a cute and cozy little cafe. We went on a rainy Sunday and really enjoyed listening to the live guitar being played. The cafe was busy but the service was still very fast. I really enjoyed how chocolatey the mocha was. The flavors of the chilaquiles was good but the chips were a bit too mushy.

Amazing baked goods and perfect espresso drinks

The people at Café Destino are so sweet! They really make you feel welcome. A shout out to Zoe, who is very personable and helpful. The baked goods are deliciously dangerous. They're so good. Especially love the berry muffins, but we have so many more things we want to try.

I absolutely love this place! My mom has been taking me here ever since I was in preschool. The staff is so friendly and the service is quick. I ordered the coffee cake last time I was there and it was delicious. Last time I went, I ordered the coffee cake muffin and it was super sweet and buttery.

Hands down the BEST cafe I went to here during my visit to Oregon, and this is coming from an introverted person who enjoys the quiet. It felt the most welcoming and cozy in here. Went around 9 on a Wednesday morning. The girl the front was super nice, and the chef made some amazing breakfast tacos!! Many thanks :)

Their biscuit sandwich just didn't do it for me.

Standouts are excellent service and overall vibe. I was attracted to the mushroom coffee sign. I'm not versed enough in all the health claims, but it tasted good. You do pay a premium. The slight let down was the Millie's Choice breakfast sandwich, I paid extra for the biscuit option. - Most notably, the bacon was very thin, it had a low quality to it. - It's semi-non functional, i.e., it was too tall. - Everyday dark yellow cheddar is bland and boring, so premium sandwich shops are opting for sharp white cheddar. - Some sort of interesting sauce would take it to the next level. - I'm not a fan of the you can add this for $2 and that for $2.50 pricing model. Just make a kick ass sandwich and don't try to please everyone. I look forward to trying other menu items.

Cute corner cafe. Food seemed to be appreciated. We had the pastrami sandwich with avocado (more like a guacamole) but I thought it was tasty. The food seemed to be priced a little higher than I would have thought. I did love that they had live music but made it difficult to chat due to the noise. Also there aren't a lot of tables so not good for a decent crowd.

Breakfast sandwich $9. Choice of bacon, ham or mushrooms.

This is my second time visiting this cute little Cafe. The staff are friendly and service is quick. Last visit I had a delicious lemon bar, today I tried the breakfast sandwich and it was great. I've visited on Sundays and they have had live music, acoustic guitar gently playing beautifully. This just might have to be my new Sunday routine.

Walking in less than an hour before closing, we were surprised to see most of the items still in stock! We ended up picking four things to try: Vanilla Bean Kouign Amann ($7) - This pasty has a sweet yet salty exterior that's complementary in flavor rather than clashing. It's accentuated with a crunchy glazed and caramelized sugar layer that's on the sweeter side. The interior is interesting. There's a cavernous gap right in the center that's filled with a sickly sweet melted sugar syrup. It's unpleasantly sweet and very cloying. The puffed and filled area is large enough that it compresses the other layers so the kouign amann is dense. I've never had a kouign amann quite this sweet before. (3/5) Meyer Lemon Olive Oil Cake with Thyme ($5.50) - This cake is so moist and rich, thick and dense, fatty and rich, that it feels like I"m eating a slab of butter. I'm sure it has just as many calories too! It's quite sweet, although not nearly to the level of the kouign amann. Overall, it's just a really rich and decadent cake. (4/5) Blueberry + Vanilla Cream Brioche Donut w/ Earl Grey ($6) - The top of the pastry is dressed with a cream that has an unmistakably strong bergomot earl grey taste. I wish there was way more cream - there's essentially only a dab on top! The rest of the donut is filled with a custardy light blueberry and vanilla jam. It's not too sweet and has an excellent high quality blueberry fragrance, creating an exceptionally strong blueberry taste. The jam is not too thick and is somewhat syrupy from sugar. The donut itself is really soft and extremely airy. It's the fluffiest donut I've eaten in a long time. (5/5) Raspberry Rose Cruffin ($8.50) - This pastry has some fun dehydrated raspberries sprinkled right on top of a light and fluffy cream that's not too sweet. The cruffin base is buttery in taste and great lamination even when filled with the custard and rose/raspberry cream. This is a heavy cruffin that's very filling. (5/5) Twisted Croissant certainly does some some really delectable treats. It's one of my favorite bakeries in Portland!

Crispy, airy, buttery and oh, so delicate, my raspberry cruffin was the dessert dreams are made of! If you've never had a cruffin... what are you waiting for?! It's croissant dough baked into a muffin shape. And the particular version I ordered today was filled with sweet and creamy vanilla custard and raspberry jelly. My mouth is watering describing this now, a true sign I'll be returning to experience this delicacy time and time again. There are three locations of Twisted Croissant in Portland, and this is the only one I've visited. The interior has a classic Parisian bakery vibe, clad in white subway tile from floor to ceiling. The bakery case in front of the store is beautifully stocked with fresh pastries, perfect for enjoying with a cup of coffee or tea. However, be advised, there are only two tables in the back of their public space, so it's not particularly inviting space to sit and enjoy your breakfast. Given the location, I assume there is outdoor seating in the summer months, but don't quote me on that. Regardless, run here if you haven't been. These baked goods are worth the visit!
