I went with a girlfriend after having this restaurant on our list for a while, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We initially ordered a half bottle of wine. We were told it was not in stock, but our waiter assured us there was another option that was "even better" and at the same price. He opened the bottle before we realized it was actually a full bottle--not the half bottle we had specifically requested. We tasted it and unfortunately did not enjoy it, so we sent it back. The waiter then found the half bottle we had originally wanted and served it, but the red wine was nearly frozen. It took about 20 minutes before we could even take a second sip and actually enjoy it. I'm still not sure why an Italian restaurant would serve red wine that cold. The specials list was actually longer than the regular menu, and I noticed the waiter was specifically pointing out mushrooms when they were included in other dishes. Unfortunately, he did not mention that the appetizer we selected contained mushrooms. Once it arrived, we had to send it back. At that point, we decided to cancel our meal and simply ask for the check. When we explained that we were returning the appetizer because we were unaware it contained mushrooms, the waiter offered to pack it up for us to take home. If we didn't want to eat it at the restaurant, we certainly didn't want to take it home. What was most disappointing was the lack of effort to recover the experience. When we cancelled our meal and requested the check, the waiter did not call a manager, ask what had gone wrong, or make any attempt to understand or resolve the situation. We left genuinely disappointed. We had specifically made a point to visit this restaurant, and unfortunately, based on this experience, we will not be returning. read more

We went to Caffè di Notte last night to celebrate a friend's birthday and had an amazing experience. The restaurant felt really homey and welcoming, and our waiter was amazing--friendly, attentive, and made the night even better. The service was spot-on from start to finish, and the food was flawless. Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. There wasn't a single miss at the table. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere was great for a birthday dinner--lively but still relaxed enough to enjoy the night. Everything came together for a really memorable evening. Had lunch with friends and we ordered the prix fixed executive lunch, a great deal for 25 dollars. The lunch included a soup or salad, main course and dessert. The food was excellent! I started with the cream of pumpkin soup, main course was the fish of the day with risotto and I finished it off with a limoncello cake. The server was friendly and answered all our questions. Definitely go if you want a great lunch at a great price. read more

We have been wanting to try this place for sometime, we made reservations earlier in the week, knowing that it gets quite busy. It is also not a large restaurant, it is actually quite small inside. The entire wait staff works together to make sure that things are taken care of. Our primary waiter (apologies I do not remember his name) who is pictured with his back turned to us in the picture of the restaurant was very good. Everything that we had to eat this evening was good. Unfortunately I did order the lamb and it was overcooked. I was asked if I wanted to return it which I did not. On our way down south to a nursery, we were hungry but being on protein diet this week, we had to pick carefully where we were going to stop. I hopped on Yelp and this restaurant was just ahead. It was pleasantly busy but not packed. The service reminded me of Italy, very personal and attentive to details. The menu was very varied fish, meat and pastas/risotti. We settled on a very well priced Executive lunch selection (three course). We chose bacon wrapped pork loin and the chicken francese. Both delicious. The potato mash was not made from scratch but the desert, strawberries and cream (I know these are not proteins but ...). seemed cream whipped in house. Recommend by a friend for dinner! We ordered 2 glasses of Pinot Nior which was a heavy pour. Started with the sliced octopus which was very refreshing and light. For the entrées, we ordered the specials of spinach fettuccine with meatballs and mushrooms, as well as the risotto with Seabass. Both dishes were huge portions and excellent flavor. We even splurged on dessert by ordering the guava and cream cheese pastry with vanilla ice cream. The overall ambience and service was good. It does have a little bit of a musty air conditioning smell that is my only issue. read more

My boyfriend took me here on a date and I want to say this is my new favorite spot. The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the workers. They were all so nice and polite. The best part was the food. Everything we tried was phenomenal. Every single dish was a 10/10. Our waiter Mateo was the best. Caffe di Notte might be the best restaurant in the kendall area. At least 20 years ago, the chef from Cafe Vialetto started it, and brought all those delicious fish and risotto dishes here. I have been dining here since then. Today, my brothers kids love it too. Chicken Picatta with penne in pink sauce is kid approved as well. The important thing to note is to always order the specials. There are sometimes as many as ten to choose from. Last time, I had the snapper with champagne risotto and finished with the heath bar tiramisu. The whole meal was delicious and its good bang for your book with parking you don't have to pay for. Trust me and try this sunset drive gem! read more

Came here for a romantic Valentine's Day dinner and it hit the mark. We were greeted by friendly staff. Our waiter was attentive and described each meal to perfection with incredible recommendations. Caffe di Note is one of those places that have been a part of Kendall for a long time and I'm glad to say that ... it still makes great food. The place has been updated a little and it feels more open and inviting. As you walk in the ambiance you feel is mellow and almost a little romantic. Medium lit lighting and soft music. The waiters are friendly and attentive... but the most important part is that the food is really good and comes fast out from the kitchen. We had a pumpkin soup that was light and creamy, very flavourful. The house salad was a little over dressed but good. Lamb chops with a mint sauce (on the side) over a risotto cooked medium well (I asked for medium) but was really good. I would order that again. The linguini with clam sauce was really good as was the corvina fish special. Overall I think they are doing great in the kitchen and with service. One of my best kept secrets. I like to take the wife and friends every so often. The food has been exceptional for the last 20 or so years. This is a cute and small little place right on sunset drive. Very intimate setting, and small menu. Food was good, and came out pretty fast. However service took a little while. The person who took down our order asked if we had been helped, and when we said no, he offered to take our order if we were ready. Then, for the rest of the night, different people were bringing us the food, and getting us refills. I was a little confused on how our server actually was. Been coming here for years and I've had really good meals here. Food has always been above average. But the last couple times I've been disappointed don't know if it has changed ownership or not. Service is always good! We had goat cheese, croquettes, and fried calamari. For appetizers. Croquettes were pretty good although very small cut in half for $15 And the calamari was below average sysco food style ( no tentacles ) for $17 Way overpriced. Entrée I had Corvina with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Not so good and at $40 not what I expected. Cafe Catulas same dish is double the portion and blows it away in taste!! We had a tiramisu for dessert, which was good. For a 3" x 3" piece was $18 which was ridiculous. Joe Stone Crab famous slice of Keylime pie is $12 come on guys. read more

Best risotto in town! Friendly service. Delicious, piping hot bread upon arrival. Amazing flavors! The pumpkin ravioli had a strong amaretto flavor to it that threw me off.
