This is such a delightful place. The food is superb. For starters we have carpacho arugula salad, stuffed braised beef mushroom, pear raviolis, ( because we needed to try as much as we could) lol. The service resembled a white glove affair. The salmon was smothered in a dark sugar sauce. The sangria was sooooo refreshing. Our waiter Gussepi was so eager to please that how can we not write a review, and order almost everything from the specials for this night, (because it just sounded so delicious). I recommend this place with closed eyes. Your experience will be a memorable one, and your pallet will be filled with delightful taste resembling a food Ecstasy. The crowd was a reasonably middle to upper class crowd. They open at 6pm for dinner on weekdays and a reservation is advised, but they do not look as if they turn anyone away. The entire staff is so happy and pleasant as well as equally eager to please. Enrique is so attentive to details. The entire staff serves everyone. You are not isolated to one server, they all pitch in to make the customers experience a uniquely enjoyable one. The restrooms are immaculate. I have gotten many recommendations about Caffe Di Notta for years, located a couple of blocks away from my childhood home. This past Friday my wife and I decided to have dinner to see for ourselves. We were seated within minutes of our arrival, the restaurant was packed and very lively. The exterior was spacious and homey while the staff were very friendly. We decided to go with appetizers of day Salmon tartare, for the main entree we ordered lobster stuffed ravioli and crab stuffed chicken breast. The salmon tartare was the highlight of the meal, very fresh with a touch of a sweet vinaigrette, however very small and pricey. The lobster ravioli were good but we felt it was too lite on the lobster bisque sauce while the shrimps were on the small side. The chicken dish came next but I felt that the crab filling was very underwhelming and a little bland, came with a good side of mashed potatoes and fresh steamed veggies. For dessert my wife decided to ordered the fruit crepe and I ordered guava and cream cheese tart. Both desserts came with a scope of vanilla ice cream, and were delicious and a good finale of our meal. We went back in September for my birthday and I am so glad this place is still here and as good as I remembered. The food was outstanding! I saw several reviews that recommended ordering from the daily specials menu and they were right. Everyone at my table ordered from the specials and no one was disappointed. The service was excellent as well. For a Sunday night the place was packed, which I was happy to see. It's still an intimate classy restaurant with great art on the walls. I cannot believe I have yet to write a review for this restaurant. My family and I have been loyal to this restaurant for years and it does NOT disappoint EVER. For starters, every single soup is delicious. Even if you are feeling "eh" about a particular soup, just order it. They are all delicious. From their lamb, fish and chicken, to their pastas and risottos... seriously it's all delicious. Finger licking delicious. My son always orders the bolognes (not on the menu). We asked why it was sooo tasty and the waiter told us they make it with filet mignon. And of course you can't skip dessert. The flan de coco is my personal favorite but my son is a huge fan of the tiramisu and my daughter loves their crepe. Their lunch prices are hard to beat. Dinner can get a little pricey but considering the quality and quantity, it's a steal. Great for date night or a family outing. If I could give more stars, I would. read more

What a great little gem. Came here by accident one night because our first choice was full, and they were happy to accommodate us. Tried a scallop appetizer with cheese and onions, and it was fantastic. Our main dishes were very good as well, and although we don't usually get dessert, everything else was so good, we decided to try their Tiramisu. I have been coming here for years now and they still surprise me. They always have specials and they never seize to let me down. Recently, I had the blueberry scallops. God take the wheel on the person we created that beauty. I've never had blueberry sauce on a scallop so I was a bit skeptical about it first. But it was soo good, I'm craving it almost everyday. Normally when I go I have the chicken stuffed with crab in lobster sauce.. and let me tell you UHHHH-MAZING!! However recently, I changed it up to the oxtail risotto and gosh did it make my mouth water. It was the perfect cook between grill and stew meat. DELICIOUS and super authentic pasta, i was blown away with how flavorful my Bolognese pasta plate was. Had the lunch special which is so worth the money- comes with a salad or soup andddd dessert- my fav! I had the cesar salad which was very fresh and just the right amount of creamy and for my dessert i chose the flan-- took me about 3 sec to finish it, that's how good it was. This is my wife and I's favorite restaurant. Every time we go they have some delicious and super fresh specials that are not on the menu. However I always order the clam linguini which is my favorite and always on the menu, and my wife orders one of the specials. Out of all the top rated and hyped Italian restaurants that I've been to I believe this is the best hands down. Food always tastes fresh and the service is the best and make you feel like family. I have been coming here for about 12 years and I have NEVER once had a bad or even mediocre meal. I have had my sons Baptism lunch here and my daughters first communion and they were phenomenal! Everyone raved about it. Their menu has been the same for a long time but they have daily specials which the waiters go over with a lot of detail. I am a big fan of their set menu though. You can find the classics like linguine a la vongole (excellent) lamb and filet mignon. I like to think of this food as Italian with a hint of Latin flavor. They pair many of the dishes with guava, chocolate and Demi glacé sauces. The Latin flair can be seen in the use of plantain chips. They have a great wine selection as well. Service is always top notch! The waiters have been there for ever which is a good sign. They are not over worked and seem to enjoy their job as they out so much pride into pleasing the clients. Glad to find this place from Yelp. We have driven by that plaza countless time and never suspect such a hidden jewel tucked in the corner. The service is friendly enough, though slightly on the slow side, from waiting to be seated (despite reservation and on time arrival), to ordering, all the way to getting a check. Not intolerable, as long as you are prepared for it. Paintings cover almost every inch of the wall, giving it a very colorful, European and romantic feel. I won't however, recommend this place for a romantic dinner. The noise level is just too high. What makes this restuarant a four instead of a five is not the noise or the slow service, but the little something missing from the food. The dishes are delicious, but the seafood pasta can definitely use a better grade of ingredients (plentiful of seafood, but quality is sub par). We ordered the mini osso buco and were disappointed that there is none of the juicy marrows we expected. Don't get me wrong, this place is comparable to what you expect from the Gables, but it's just a tad below Michy's and others I would consider a 5. read more
