Love that they allow you to sample before buying and the staff who helped us was really cheerful! All of the flavors were so yummy and each person in my party got different ones at the end. The creamy texture held itself together and didn't melt which is a good sign. I sat outside in front of the shop and just enjoyed my treat. At first, it's like walking into a convenient shop with other snack items, etc. But there's a large case of different gelatos. Their most popular flavor is the pistachio, but their chocolate blends stick out to me. For $5, single scoop, it's small but packs a heavy punch. I was quite disappointed with their service today. I came in today (6/21 Sunday a few min before 9pm) with my family, and I asked for one sample. The employee gave me a strange look, and said "that's ok I'll let you have it today". ??? It says no samples after 10pm on weekends. Is Sunday not a weekend? I pointed it out to him and he kept trying to brush it off, saying he'll let it go this one time. Looked at my phone and after the back & forth it was 9:01pm. They use super high-quality ingredients and you can taste it at every bite. We even got some gelato to go, and it was delicious! Tried this new ice cream place in the middle of downtown Redwood City. They have a ton of flavors. We tried the straciatella and the chocolate hazelnut. Flavors were great, creamy and rich. I appreciate that they have all the classics as that's what we mostly go for, there are other ice cream stores close by with more exotic flavors that rarely appeal to me.
