OMG this ice cream spot was AMAZING! Such a cute location, especially being so close to the amusement park--perfect stop for a treat. I loved that we were able to try a bunch of different flavors, and it was awesome that everything was clearly labeled gluten-free and dairy-free friendly. We ended up getting a full sundae with four different flavors, whipped cream, and a cherry on top--so fun! The flavors were all so good, but the watermelon sorbet was definitely my favorite. We also tried rainbow sorbet, cotton candy, and strawberry cheesecake--everything was delicious. Plus, they had the cutest mural inside which made the whole experience even better. Perfect dessert for the beach--seriously SO good. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

I've been looking for a spot where I could buy latin craving foods. This is the spot. I asked for an esquite with hot cheetos on top, they delivered with a good amount of serving. I also asked for a mangonada and that was very good. The creamy ice cream blend they had was so good and it lasted a good while before it started to melt. It was so smooth. The right amount of sweet and sour. They didn't just cover the top of the esquite with hot cheetos, they also put it in the middle and bottom with mayo. Overall great place to come and they were very quick, a good amount of options too.

I stopped by on a weekday evening for a quick dessert. There were some really interesting flavors of mexican ice cream. Gansito, rice pudding and mazapan were my flavors. Gansito was my favorite flavor. I also went for a Tejuino. It was a combination of many drinks including tamarind. It was an acquired taste. I felt it was just ok. Prices were slightly higher than what I was expecting.

Came back to Livin Sweet in Belmont and I'm happy to say it's still just as good as I remembered, if not better. This time I went with the double scoop, getting the rice pudding ice cream and Mexican candy flavor. The rice pudding scoop was rich, creamy, and comforting, with that nostalgic cinnamon flavor that really hits. The Mexican candy ice cream was the perfect contrast--sweet, slightly spicy, and packed with bold flavor without being overpowering. Together, the combo worked surprisingly well. Portion sizes were generous, the ice cream was smooth and well balanced, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the flavors and the overall experience. Glad I came back. This spot continues to deliver. Definitely will be revisiting again to try more flavors.

I went here during lunch to get a sweet treat and i loved it. There was good music playing, good vibes, and the staff was very kind. She let us sample the ice cream flavors and let us take out time ordering. I got the gansito scoop of ice cream and arroz con leche flavor, YUM. i have been looking for gansito flavor for a long time because not all nieverias make them good, but this is exactly what i was looking for! they also offer different snacks and even tacos de papa. my coworkers enjoyed their ice cream as well. We enjoyed the cute seating area!

This place is delicious! The Fresada and Mangonada is a must try! I also recommend their uchepos (corn tamales). You can tell the owner is passionate about this place he's usually always there with a great attitude. They have a huge menu to try from a hidden gem for sure!

The perfect place to go if you want to cool down on a hot day. David helped us at the counter he was full of energy ready to serve us, he's also bilingual(English and Spanish). The best part was they have mangitos verde my favorite!! I'd definitely recommend; friendly and delicious Mexican snacks!

This was my first time trying "Mexican ice cream" (per their signage). I ordered a scoop of their mango and strawberry (water based) ice cream. They were refreshing, like sorbet but tasted creamier. They were also on the sweeter side. Overall, I enjoyed it but their price is on the steeper side ($8.50 for 2 small scoops).

This place is fantastic! As soon as we walked in we were greeted, the employees were ready to answer any questions. They even offered samples of their ice creams! We ended up with the hot Cheeto elote and chamomile apple, hella good! They have a great menu too, we will definitely be back.

Parking is street parking, but I was lucky and got a spot right out front. The exterior and interior was simple. Not much service either, they looked surprised when I walked in and it felt like they just wanted me in and out quickly. I originally wanted a jasmine green milk tea, which they said they do not have it anymore. Instead of suggesting a green milk tea - the employee just intently stared at me, so I asked If they had a green milk tea instead, which he responded with that they do. He rang me up quickly and told the other employee to make my drink. I looked around and they had a 'Pumping Station' for their frozen yogurt, but the machines did not looked like it had been used in a long time or it even worked. As I was pondering, I received my drink shortly after. My green milk tea with boba tasted okay. It had a good sweetness to it with 50% sugar. It was creamy with only a hint of tea taste, which I enjoyed. It had a graininess to it, which was off-putting. Overall, decent milk tea (besides the graininess) and size for the price.

The pacing was just right, nothing felt rushed, and each course was thoughtfully decorated! I enjoyed every moment during the experience. We started with warm house sake to warm up, and luckily it paired really nicely with the meal and made everything feel extra cozy. Then for the courses, I had: - Starter: Kumiage Yuba with light house sauce and wasabi, I'm so impressed!!! At first I thought I was eating some fish liver because the texture was similar, but turn out it's tofu and they makes it excellent! A very nice starter - Appetizer: Squid tempura, pickled radish, mushroom & veggies, and tamago. I really like the tempura, crispy but not greasy, nice mix of textures - Sashimi plate: 3 pieces of bluefin tuna otoro, very fresh and buttery, just melts in my mouth! Love it - Oden bowl: I'm so in love with the broth, sweet, umami and comforting. It had braised pork belly, radish and konjac jelly, and all taste amazing, could not find any words to complain - Grilled fish: a very simple dish with not much seasoning. Fish was paired with some salty pickled plum and sweet potato. - Steamed tofu with abalone: I really like abalone texture, they made it very tender and easy to chew. Also not much seasoning so that you can feel the natural taste of the seafood, love that! - Hotate scallop with persimmon sauce: I don't like persimmon that much, but the scallops taste fresh and sweet - Rice bowl with pickles and miso soup: this is the 2nd final course, they have 2 options to upgrade from the white rice, uni ikura (+$16) & A5 wagyu (+$26) - we have 2 people so we order both to try a little bit of everything. Both worth the upgrade, but I prefer a5 wagyu - Matcha yokan with red beans and hot tea: the dessert was a bit too sweet for me, even though they served with hot tea to balance. But still, a great dish! Overall, really solid omakase spot on the Peninsula. I'd definitely come back if I had the chance!

The decor felt understated and calming, and both the host and server were very kind and welcoming. Service was definitely on the slower side -- we started the first course around 1pm and dessert wasn't served until about 2:40pm -- but I suppose that's part of the intentional, course-by-course dining experience. We ordered one of the lunch set menus. A few thoughts on the dishes: * House made tofu - Delicious. Light, delicate, and creamy, topped with wasabi and soy sauce. 9/10 * Appetizer assortment - A box with four small dishes (Nanohana steeped in dashi, simmered daikon radish, Tai marinated in vinaigrette, tamago). The tamago was less sweet than what you'd usually get at sushi restaurants (just okay for me, 6/10). The daikon was tasty (7.5/10), the fish had good flavor but a firmer texture than I prefer (7/10), and the vegetables were well-prepared (7.5/10). Everything was served room temperature. Overall, the flavors and sauces were very mild and subtle, in line with more traditional Japanese cooking. * The sashimi dish was fresh and delicious. 9/10 * Pork belly with vegetables - The pork belly was extremely tender and flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked nicely. The sauce was delicious. I almost wished it came with rice, but it was lightly seasoned and balanced as-is. 8/10 * Gindara marinated in miso - Lovely buttery, flaky texture. I've had similar miso black cod dishes elsewhere that were a bit more flavorful, but still very enjoyable. 8/10 * Chawanmushi - Very smooth, custardy texture with hints of citrus/yuzu, crab, and shiso. The crab texture was nice, though I didn't get a ton of crab flavor. * Octopus - A bit too chewy for my taste, though it paired nicely with the sweetness of the plum. I especially liked the nagaimo (yam) for both flavor and texture. 7.5/10 * Rice with kelp, wasabi cucumber, and simmered baby sardines - The kelp had a great texture and slightly tangy flavor. The wasabi cucumber was a bit too salty for me, even with the rice, but the baby sardines were delicious with just a hint of salt. 8/10 * Miso soup - Nice and light. 8/10 * Dessert (matcha yo-kan) - Green tea jelly with raspberries. Nice texture, though I personally prefer more pudding-like desserts. Not overly sweet, but I'm generally not a fan of beans in desserts. 7.5/10 One especially thoughtful touch: they served dessert to my mom on a special plate with additional Japanese candies and little origami pieces made by the staff. It felt very warm and personal. Overall, a good experience. They also offer à la carte options in addition to the set menus. The space feels intimate and would probably be best for smaller groups or quieter meals.
