It is small ice cream shop seem like in a house. The store is small with some seating inside. You will feel like sitting in a house. There are varieties of ice cream amd some are unique. The size is unique , mini, double mini, ruglar, large , and pint. The mkni is really small portion. The also have flight which is 4 mini or full flight which is 8 mini. They also have sundae. From economical perspective , flight and full flight are better for bang of the buck. You can try first so you get what you want. We got mini and double mini of strawberry, black sugar boba tea, coffee chicory. They are yummy. I wish the portion is larger for the price. According to the person, it is kind of European style. New cozy ice cream spot in Belmont with some unique flavors. Tried the orange cardamom chai and the coffee hickory, both flavors were really interesting and on the mild side. They had a lot of other tea flavored ice creams like lavander, earl grey, and milk tea. My only gripe is that the portions are TINY for the price, better off just getting a pint. Also, skip on the boba sundae, it's just a small scoop with a pirouette cookie and topped with flavorless agar (boba). They also serve high tea w/sandwiches. There are only a few tables, so reservations are probably highly recommended. Pretty tableware. Afternoon tea (2 scones, 4 finger sandwiches, ice cream flight, and a pot of tea) = $50. Although it was a big pot of tea and the sandwiches tasted fresh, for me, the price was high for what it was. The scones were on the smaller side, so $20 for Cream Tea (2 scones and a pot of tea) was a bit much. Also, I know it mentioned "finger" sandwiches but the portions, overall, seemed on the smaller side for the price. I was so excited to hear Jolly's opened a new shop! I'd always spot his truck while driving through the Peninsula but somehow missed the pop-ups, so it's great to see him in a permanent space. Such a fun concept! It's a tea and ice cream shop where all of the ice creams are tea flavored or inspired (London fog, rose, etc.) The ice cream is made in house and has a nice texture. Tried this visiting truck at Spark Social and we loved it! I'm a big fan of tea so everything on the menu looked good. We couldn't pick so went with the full sampler of all 8 flavors. It was great because everyone had their own favorites depending on personal preferences, so you can find your flavor here. Jolly himself I believe helped us and he was really nice in explaining the flavor profiles and later hand packed a pint for me to take home of my personal fave - the chocolate smoke (with lapsang suchong). Also really liked the rose pistachio (more pistachio than rose) and earl grey. The orange cardamom chai was good but on the sweeter side for me. The strawberry hibiscus (more strawberry) and southern sweet tea with lemon sorbet were also a hit! Redbush vanilla tasted very vanilla as they said. Lavender was really good - not soapy/perfumey or overly floral. Looked up their website and all the flavors sound so good.. can't wait to find them again in the future. Seems they're opening up a shop soon in Belmont! The prices may feel high and maybe they are, but they do seem on par with ice cream shops nowadays. Was recommended by Yelp to try Jolly's Old Fashioned Teas Cream and it immediately piqued my interest. Upon searching for its next known location, color me surprised to see it listed as a vendor at Tanforan Off the Grid that same night. Fate. We ended up ordering a flight to go and I loved that each mini scoop was capped in a 2oz container before being put in a box. It was sure to be safe to transport home given that it was a blustery evening in San Bruno so not exactly comfortable to sit outside. My personal favorite of the bunch? Cardamom Chai. It was creamy, but had a really nice warm spice. I also really liked the Strawberry Hibiscus which was chocked full of strawberry flavor cut by a little tartness from the hibiscus. I found the Sweet Tea Lemon Sorbet to be very refreshing and it tasted like an Arnold Palmer slushie. Bringing up the end was the Rose Pistachio. While I will commend the amount of pistachios in this ice cream, I didn't feel like the rose flavor came through at all. Compared to its friends, this one was just a little unremarkable in my opinion. Came with tea loving friends today and were very impressed with the atmosphere (very clean and inviting - not classic High Tea mahem with all the frilly stuff, the fru fru tea ware, the hats and feathers etc.), clean architectural lines, lighting, and painting, but not sterile. Jolly's is located in an older converted house. Super cute. The owner (I assume), is also very attentive and friendly. We began by chosing our individual pots of tea that was served with and 2 warm scones (plain and Blueberry). This was followed by the tea sandwiches - what was great is that you got to pick your own assortment of 4 different sandwiches. It wasn't the *traditional prefixe menu. All of our choices were incredibly fresh, well seasoned and VERY tasty. I particularly LOVED the curry chicken. Too many to remember - but look up their menu. Also included with the sandwiches was a very delicious deviled egg...YUM! There are vegetarian options as well. Tea was followed by a flight of artisan made ice cream! The Smoked Chocolate was fantastic and it was hard to pick a favorite out of the four that were offered. If any of you remember the Tin Pot ice creamery, Jolly's would have given them a run for the money. Excellent ice cream, not like some of the *heavier* brands, not like gelato either. Great flavors and consistency. These weren't the run of the mill flavors, unusual combinations that worked very well together. I could go on and on, but I won't. You are invited to choose from a menu of sandwiches ranging from vegan/vegetarian to animal proteins such as egg salad, chicken salad, and smoked salmon. We also ordered a pot of Earl Grey and when it arrived at the table, I nearly swooned from it's wonderful fragrance. The scones were top notch and Jolly gave us some butter and fig jam as an accompaniment. Our tea sandwiches (cucumber, walnut, smoked salmon, and chicken salad) were beautifully presented and very tasty. The shop itself is clean, modern, cozy and inviting.
