Mom, sis, and I love to get together for afternoon tea, so we were excited to find out Jolly's has a weekend afternoon tea menu. We also thought the idea was interesting to have afternoon tea when they serve tea inspired ice creams . . . makes sense. Called and made reservations easily enough. There are only a few tables, so reservations are probably highly recommended. Pretty tableware. Afternoon tea (2 scones, 4 finger sandwiches, ice cream flight, and a pot of tea) = $50. Although it was a big pot of tea and the sandwiches tasted fresh, for me, the price was high for what it was. The scones were on the smaller side, so $20 for Cream Tea (2 scones and a pot of tea) was a bit much. Also, I know it mentioned "finger" sandwiches but the portions, overall, seemed on the smaller side for the price. I'd maybe return for the ice cream as I really liked the Tea Biscuits and Jam one.
Cute ice cream shop with an old school vibe. They have a variety of tea infused ice cream flavors and a few non-caffeinated options as well. Went on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking in the lot next door. Got the flight of 8 flavors to share among 3 people and it was just right. There's so many flavors to choose from -- some of my faves were the earl grey, pistachio, strawberry, and lavender. Service was friendly and they let us try a few flavors beforehand too. Ample seating indoors as well. Would come again!

Unlike traditional ice cream parlors, Jolly's has more tea inspired flavors for those seeking a more adventurous take on ice cream. Service: The man who works at Jolly's is very friendly and quick to provide service. Wait time: Not busy in the mid day / early afternoon on a weekday but I can see being more busy during the weekends or later into the weekday. Ice Cream: The vanilla Matcha had the taste of homemade vanilla with a subtle green tea flavor that tasted refreshing but left me wanting a bit more of the earthy flavor you get from matcha. Price wise, it does feel a tad expensive at $6.50 for a scoop but again more unique in the flavors compared to a traditional ice cream parlor. They do offer a flight that is a tad more expensive but lets you try various flavors if that is something you are interested in and wondered what a variety of teas would taste like in an ice cream form. Overall, definitely a unique Ice Cream parlor bringing a refreshing twist to sweet treats in Belmont and definitely at least worth trying once.
I was so excited to hear Jolly's opened a new shop! I'd always spot his truck while driving through the Peninsula but somehow missed the pop-ups, so it's great to see him in a permanent space. The quality is incredible, and the tea-infused flavors are such a fun, unique touch. I tried the flight. Just wish the portions were just a bit bigger, but it's a great way to discover your favorite. The ice cream tastes exactly like the titles! Flavors are vibrant! It doesn't get any more artisan than this. There's plenty of indoor seating and a really charming afternoon tea offering, too.

This is definitely an ice cream shop that I'll come back to during the summer (just has those vibes). The ice cream was impressive. But the owner seemed like he had done his research on teas which is why there are so many options! The texture of the ice cream is thick & chewy (my favorite). My main complaint is the price vs. portion. It was quite pricey for a mini scoop (which is way too small to enjoy in my opinion haha), so I think that needs some adjusting!

Jolly's has a decent variety of ice cream flavors but it didn't quite scratch the itch for me. I had earl grey & victorian fog and my partner had rose pistachio & orange cardamom chai. Of the four flavors, orange cardamom chai was probably my favorite. Rose pistachio didn't have any tea flavor and I found it a bit underwhelming. Earl grey and victorian fog were pretty good but too similar, I should have tried something else over one or the other. No complaints! Cute shop, decent ice cream. Open late which is nice. I do hope they incorporate other tea flavors in the future like hojicha.
A hidden ice cream shop by a lot of auto shops. A little house with parking which is good. Little house is very cute. Decorate are nice and about ice cream looks clean have a few tables. They offer tea set for weekends. Lady in front let me try a few favors and decided to Earl Grey and Rose Pistachio and Husband got Tea, Biscuits and Jam. I also liked the Southern Sweet Tea with Lemon Sorbet it tasted like iced Arnold Palmer. Will go back to try more favor.
Wow! I'm so glad their signage is huge because this place caught my eye as we drove by! I looked this place up on Yelp and thought, what a cool concept to have tea infused flavors in ice cream. We made a u-turn at 8:30PM to check this place out! It looks like they converted an old trailer into this cute shop. The shop has a bunch of seating for customers (must get busy??). The flavors are so unique! I tried: rose pistachio, chocolate smoke, and tea, biscuit and jam. I ordered a scoop of the TBJ ($6.50). So yummy! The tea flavor was comforting, the biscuit was like a cake version of biscoff and the jam was light! Such a great combo. I'd definitely come back and maybe buy a pint the next time I'm here. Apparently they also switch out flavors occasionally too!
Such a fun concept! It's a tea and ice cream shop where all of the ice creams are tea flavored or inspired (London fog, rose, etc.) The ice cream is made in house and has a nice texture. The flavors in my London fog ice cream werent super powerful but were very nice no less. I found portions to be quite small for the price point though. It's very cute inside. It feels old timey and whimsy. Nice spot to check out! I hope they correct the portion to price ratio because this place is such a good concept and otherwise a total gem!
I absolutely love Jolly's, so when it came time to celebrate my daughter's 4th birthday, I knew I had to reach out to Jason for catering--and I'm so glad I did! We ordered the salmon, cucumber, chicken salad, PB&J, and egg salad, and every single one was a hit. They were so delicious that they disappeared almost immediately! Our guests couldn't stop raving about them. On top of that, the presentation was stunning--perfectly suited for the tea party theme. I would wholeheartedly recommend this for any tea-themed party or special occasion! I also love the ice cream flavors and am a huge fan of the entire shop.
I stopped by on a late evening. We were the only customer at that time. The place has some tables. There were a ton of flavors. I wanted to try all. So took 2 sampler flights of 4 flavors each. Rose pistachio was my favorite flavor. Black sugar bubble milk tea seems to be their signature flavor. That was good as well. My other flavors were orange cardamom chai, chocolate smoke, Lavender, Victorian fog, coffee chicory and Earl grey. All flavors were really good.

Found this icecream shop when searching for local ice cream shop. It is located at Belmot and next to railroad. It have parking area next to the store and on the street. It is small ice cream shop seem like in a house. The store is small with some seating inside. You will feel like sitting in a house. There are varieties of ice cream amd some are unique. The size is unique , mini, double mini, ruglar, large , and pint. The mkni is really small portion. The also have flight which is 4 mini or full flight which is 8 mini. They also have sundae. From economical perspective , flight and full flight are better for bang of the buck. You can try first so you get what you want. We got mini and double mini of strawberry, black sugar boba tea, coffee chicory. They are yummy. I wish the portion is larger for the price. According to the person, it is kind of European style. Next time we will have the full flight so we can get more ice cream flavor. read more
New cozy ice cream spot in Belmont with some unique flavors. Tried the orange cardamom chai and the coffee hickory, both flavors were really interesting and on the mild side. They had a lot of other tea flavored ice creams like lavander, earl grey, and milk tea. My only gripe is that the portions are TINY for the price, better off just getting a pint. Also, skip on the boba sundae, it's just a small scoop with a pirouette cookie and topped with flavorless agar (boba). They also serve high tea w/sandwiches. Nice that they have their own parking lot as street parking in the area can be really tough. read more

Great new ice cream shop located in a historic Belmont landmark. Locally owned and made, creative flavors. Layer after layer of goodness. A place for the sophisticated palette for sure. You pay extra for quality made product. Service was friendly and fast on a cooler than average April Saturday. Ambience feels like Grandmas House in small town USA. Parking is a small dirt lot. Tried this visiting truck at Spark Social and we loved it! I'm a big fan of tea so everything on the menu looked good. We couldn't pick so went with the full sampler of all 8 flavors. It was great because everyone had their own favorites depending on personal preferences, so you can find your flavor here. Jolly himself I believe helped us and he was really nice in explaining the flavor profiles and later hand packed a pint for me to take home of my personal fave - the chocolate smoke (with lapsang suchong). Also really liked the rose pistachio (more pistachio than rose) and earl grey. The orange cardamom chai was good but on the sweeter side for me. The strawberry hibiscus (more strawberry) and southern sweet tea with lemon sorbet were also a hit! Redbush vanilla tasted very vanilla as they said. Lavender was really good - not soapy/perfumey or overly floral. Looked up their website and all the flavors sound so good.. can't wait to find them again in the future. Seems they're opening up a shop soon in Belmont! The prices may feel high and maybe they are, but they do seem on par with ice cream shops nowadays. We enjoyed tea service during their recent opening one morning. It's a cute little shop with a nice side room. The sandwiches were good as were the fresh baked scones. I really liked their home made blood orange earl grey marmalade. The best part was finishing with an ice cream flight. Since each of us got four little scoops, we tried eight of their sixteen flavors. The apple cider and orange cardamom were our favorites. Can't wait to stop by again for a sweet treat! read more
Was recommended by Yelp to try Jolly's Old Fashioned Teas Cream and it immediately piqued my interest. Upon searching for its next known location, color me surprised to see it listed as a vendor at Tanforan Off the Grid that same night. Fate. We ended up ordering a flight to go and I loved that each mini scoop was capped in a 2oz container before being put in a box. It was sure to be safe to transport home given that it was a blustery evening in San Bruno so not exactly comfortable to sit outside. My personal favorite of the bunch? Cardamom Chai. It was creamy, but had a really nice warm spice. I also really liked the Strawberry Hibiscus which was chocked full of strawberry flavor cut by a little tartness from the hibiscus. I found the Sweet Tea Lemon Sorbet to be very refreshing and it tasted like an Arnold Palmer slushie. Bringing up the end was the Rose Pistachio. While I will commend the amount of pistachios in this ice cream, I didn't feel like the rose flavor came through at all. Compared to its friends, this one was just a little unremarkable in my opinion. They had a sign saying they'll open a brick and mortar in Belmont soon so definitely looking forward to that! read more
I tried the ice cream at memorial park. I ordered the rose pistachio. I liked the delicate flavor. Reminded me of afghan ice cream . Pretty good. I tried the strawberry and hibiscus. It tasted more like strawberry. I didnt taste any hibiscus flavor. It was just okay. It's a small portion so keep that in mind. read more

Lover of High Tea AND and an ice cream lover as well. What could be better than these two together?! Came with tea loving friends today and were very impressed with the atmosphere (very clean and inviting - not classic High Tea mahem with all the frilly stuff, the fru fru tea ware, the hats and feathers etc.), clean architectural lines, lighting, and painting, but not sterile. Jolly's is located in an older converted house. Super cute. The owner (I assume), is also very attentive and friendly. We began by chosing our individual pots of tea that was served with and 2 warm scones (plain and Blueberry). This was followed by the tea sandwiches - what was great is that you got to pick your own assortment of 4 different sandwiches. It wasn't the *traditional prefixe menu. All of our choices were incredibly fresh, well seasoned and VERY tasty. I particularly LOVED the curry chicken. Too many to remember - but look up their menu. Also included with the sandwiches was a very delicious deviled egg...YUM! There are vegetarian options as well. Tea was followed by a flight of artisan made ice cream! The Smoked Chocolate was fantastic and it was hard to pick a favorite out of the four that were offered. If any of you remember the Tin Pot ice creamery, Jolly's would have given them a run for the money. Excellent ice cream, not like some of the *heavier* brands, not like gelato either. Great flavors and consistency. These weren't the run of the mill flavors, unusual combinations that worked very well together. I could go on and on, but I won't. Look at the menu - decide for yourselves. I KNOW That I will be back again, if not for High Tea (unlikely), but for ice cream as well. I'm glad to have found Jolly's. Bonus points for not chasing us out after 2 hours like some of the other tea shops. We so enjoyed sitting there and relaxing! First time here and I loved it! The sampler option on the menu was perfect to share and all were so yummy. My favorite was the orange cardamom chai. Very charming house setting with plenty of parking. Will definitely make this my "go-to" spot for the summer! read more

We stopped in to visit and stayed for their new afternoon tea menu. The set included 4 tea sandwiches, 2 scones, a pot of tea, and a flight of 4 ice creams. It was honestly a perfectly portioned afternoon tea - not too filling and definitely satisfying. You are invited to choose from a menu of sandwiches ranging from vegan/vegetarian to animal proteins such as egg salad, chicken salad, and smoked salmon. We also ordered a pot of Earl Grey and when it arrived at the table, I nearly swooned from it's wonderful fragrance. The scones were top notch and Jolly gave us some butter and fig jam as an accompaniment. Our tea sandwiches (cucumber, walnut, smoked salmon, and chicken salad) were beautifully presented and very tasty. The shop itself is clean, modern, cozy and inviting. We especially loved the historical piece on the wall that describes the building's history - it started out as an ice cream shop! A full circle moment. Absolutely the best part of our visit was chatting with Jolly and enjoying his small-batch ice creams. We tried the Chocolate Smoke, Rose Pistachio, Mulled Cider sorbet, and Lemongrass Ginger Turmeric. The flavors were all delicious. Truly a high quality experience. Their shop is such a gem! I adore Jolly's tea flavors! Been a fan since their food cart days from Off the Grid. I originally came for the Earl Grey but their Black Sugar Bubble Milk Tea and Tea, Biscuits, and Jam are my favorites The orange cardamon chai is quite good, too. I've taken friends here for dessert many times, it's a nice spot to chat. I usually order the 4-flavor flights for variety. read more
