Do not come here for hot chocolate despite the signs. I came in one night for a hot chocolate and my god did it take forever. The hot chocolate they serve is a standard Ghirardelli hot chocolate so I was expecting a pretty quick in and out service. Nope, took 30 mins. After 20 mins I asked the guy and got the autopilot "it's coming" response - didn't even bother to actually check. Hot chocolate itself tasted normal. Nothing to really rave or hare about it. It was a nice hot drink on a cold evening and that's the only reason this review gets a 2 and not a 1 star.

Really great crepes! Everything is delicious. Second time I'm coming here- i only have one request to the gentleman working the cashier and serving the food- you put your hand in all the way into the trashcan when clearing out a table, some customers may not mind that, sorry to say I did. Just a note....

Soft perfect crepe. Love it Friendly staff and pretty decor, good for selfies. We tried the Honey I am home crepe, which is fruit crepe, and it is perfect,! Not too sweet.

Love it here. The food is perfect every time, and for a reasonable price. I love that it's open late, I love the amount of quality and effort they put into the presentation of the food. I always prefer the house special crepe, it's my favorite. I also love the outdoor seating especially on a nice sunny day.

First time and wasn't impressed with The Crepe Shop. Order on the large screen that's on the wall. Pickup your order when name is called at the counter. The 10 poppers $14.95 were aright. Think pillowy soft donut/crepe texture with filling. Next time, wouldn't get the drizzle as it's just overkill and too sweet. Not much service involved, just pickin up your order. Indoor and outdoor seating.

I had a great experience at The Crepe Stop in San Carlos! I tried the Go Bananas crepe and the Bella Nutella mini pancakes, and both were delicious. The Bella Nutella mini pancakes were warm, soft, and generously drizzled with Nutella, with a nice dusting of powdered sugar on top. They looked amazing and tasted even better. The Go Bananas crepe was fresh, golden, and neatly wrapped, with a great balance of sweetness and flavor. The packaging was cute and clean, and everything felt fresh and well made.

This place seems like the spot for young locals. It's open until like midnight and can get busy at night! The location is perfect on Laurel St. and prices are fair. There's plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. Service was a bit slow even though there were like 5 people working. Everyone was waiting for at least 20 mins for their orders. The jambon panini was good but loaded with mustard haha. The sugar n spice crepe was a yummy sweet treat. Overall, this is a good place to come for a snack late at night! We'll be back to try the other sweet crepes!

A casual spot for a quick lunch or dinner, with an expensive selection of sweet and savory crepes! There are a few tables inside and out front. Order at the counter or tablet for speedy service. The ham and cheese and unicorn were both hits.

Just amazing! I have celiacs and I felt safe ordering here. We got the salmon crepe, and the ham, egg, and cheese. We also got the Nutella, banana and strawberry... Everything was so delicious, really nice staff and great ambience. I want to go back and try all the flavors of crepes...

My latest obsession, these crepes. They're thinly delicate and perfectly soft throughout, not crunchy or overcooked like I've had at some places. It's hard to choose which one to get so I went with a more standard strawberry & banana to get a baseline. The honey was thankfully moderate and added just enough sweetness instead of drowning you into a diabetic coma. The staff was friendly and didn't rush me while I debated which crepe to try. They have boba and waffle pops too, which I'll definitely try on my next trip. There's seating inside and out in their cute parklet decorated with wisteria. It's downtown San Carlos which means Laurel is mostly blocked off to traffic but I'm always able to get parking on a side street or in one of the lots behind Diddams, Wells Fargo, or Peet's.

I was lucky enough to travel to Paris for school and enjoy the street corner prepared crepes. Fast forward, in San Carlos, a large and explosion filled crepe has arrived! Need to order over the phone or their screen. I did not see a cashier box. Large servings. In and outside seating. Clean restroom. Wonderful!

Ask the Community - The Crepe Stop

How are the poppers never had them?

The boba is sooo good does anyone agree that the boba here is better than boba guys?

The boba is very good and the crepes are wonderful, but let's not bring another business in and no need to compare to another place. Crepe Shop is my favorite place of downtown but I don't want to bring another place into this and give them less…

Is this place dog friendly? Do they have outdoor tables?

Yes, half of the store front is covered but designated for "outdoor" seating for patrons with dogs.

    How are the milkshakes?

So good.... the boba black milk tea is good too. Better than the actual boba place next door

After placing our order for a group of four, our drinks arrived within just a few minutes. They looked exactly like the menu descriptions and tasted just as good. The food was fresh, hot, and clearly made with quality ingredients. We all especially loved the tomato soup. We also ordered a waffle to share as an appetizer, and it came topped with large, beautiful strawberries that tasted amazing. The portion size was generous. I ordered the Fresh Mozzarella sandwich on ciabatta bread and asked for it toasted, and it was phenomenal. I did not have very high expectations since this was a quick, last minute choice and we did not even check reviews beforehand, but I am so glad we gave it a try. We were tired, hungry, and desperately in need of coffee. Drake's looked perfect and great reviews. The restaurant itself is charming. There's a small upstairs dining area, and the downstairs bar looked like the quickest way to get food, so we headed there. But the welcome was awkward. A man at the front desk clearly heard us walk in but didn't look up or acknowledge us. After a moment, a woman came over with a big smile, which was nice, but she didn't say a word just handed us menus. So we seated ourselves at the bar. When the waiter asked what he could get us, I started giving our coffee order, and he just looked around the room up at the ceiling, across the restaurant anywhere but at me. It felt dismissive and honestly just weird. Then the coffee arrived, and it was rough. My "latte" tasted like plain coffee with a splash of milk. No foam, no espresso flavor. My boyfriend's mocha tasted watered down, almost like it was made with hot water and a tiny bit of cream. Both drinks were extremely disappointing. Thankfully, the food was much better. My quiche was decent about a 3 out of 5. My boyfriend's chilaquiles were flavorful and satisfying, definitely a 4 out of 5. Drake's has a beautiful space and good food, but the service and the coffee really missed the mark for us.

One thing that stood out during this visit was the incredible teamwork. Every employee was constantly moving, helping guests, and supporting one another. At one point, a server who wasn't even ours noticed that the sun had shifted and was shining directly in my face. She immediately offered to move us to a different table, which we really appreciated. We also noticed the manager walking the dining room, checking in with guests and making sure everything was going well. It was refreshing to see such a hands-on approach. Our appetizers took a little longer than expected, which honestly didn't bother us--we hadn't even noticed. But the manager did. He came over to sincerely apologize, brought us an additional appetizer, and even insisted on taking care of part of our bill. It was such a thoughtful gesture. When the food arrived, it was excellent, just as we've come to expect. Our waiter was fantastic as well. The customer service here is every bit as impressive as the food. We'll definitely continue coming back. Town consistently delivers an outstanding dining experience, and we highly recommend it.
